Is hair dye permissable?

Question:

Assalamualaikum Mawlana and all eshaykh Staff,
I needed to know is dying my hair permissible, as some say that the wudu water doesn’t penetrate the hair, but then others say, then how come mehndi (henna) doesn’t coat your hair but dye does? I don’t know. I cover my hair, but I’m asking only for my future husbands pleasure, as my hair has a lot of white hair and they have become very discolored and dull.

I needed an urgent reply.. ‘m very sorry for the inconvenience and bad adab.

JazakAllah. May Allah swt raise all your stations higher and higher.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,
The Messenger of Allah (S) stated:
“Change this color, and stay away from the black (color).”

Therefore, you can change your hair color with other than black.

Prayer Request: Tai al-Lisaan

Request:

Assalamu ‘Alaikum
Is it possible for Maulana Shaykh Hisham to pray for me to be blessed with Tai al-Lisaan, or is this something that is gifted by Allah to blessed people? I have a Wazaif book, but many of them require them to be read in very large numbers, which feels almost impossible, especially since I’m still studying. Sorry for lack of Adab.
Jazakallah, Assalamu ‘Alaikum

Response:

Wa`alaikumussalam,

What is required of us is to do whatever is prescribed in the daily Wazifah. Whatever secrets desired shall be opened, not now, but in the time of Imam al-Mahdi a.s., Insha Allah.

Dream: Kissing Shaykh, apologising to MSN

Dream:

Dear Shaykh, Assalamu alaykum,
After asking a question yesterday of you, I dreamt in the night: I am apologizing to MSN, feeling truly sorry and he smiles a very sweet and charming smile. He at one point is very close to me physically and caring and I see myself seated and kissing MSH on the face, intimately and he turns into a beautiful young man, possibly for my need for a man.

Please could you interpret? Thank you humbly.

Interpretation:

Alaykum as-Salam,
They are praying for you to get married soon in sha Allah. Recite Ya Fattah Ya Razzaq daily x100.

Prayer Request: A boy I love

Request:

Assalamouilaikoum, I’m really in love with this boy named [private]since 6 months…. He ignores me and he doesn’t love me. He knows about my feelings though I have never spoken a word to him. He just avoids me..Plz pray to Allah that he  realizes my love and respect for him and begins to love me… Plz pray for me and make duas for me that he accepts me. Please…

Response:

Wa`alaikumussalam,

Insha Allah Shaykh Hisham will pray for you. Recite Yaa Latif, Yaa Wadud 100x each daily. Concealing your signals lend no reciprocation. Should his behaviour betrays your feelings, our advise is to move on and pray to Allah for someone better.

Dream: La illaha illa llah

Dream:

Assalam alleikum,
I was in a store & I saw people whom I thought would harass me cause I was Muslim so I wished they were Muslim in my heart. I asked how can they be Muslim and I was shown children’s books. Then in the middle of the store there was a Muslim man with white clothes, olive skinned, and a dark beard. I was about to leave the store but his heart told me to look around then in the shelves I saw la illaha illa llah & Allah’s name on glasses. I continued looking around and I saw Muslim women sitting in another section that opened and I laughed and said this is where you were hiding. If I can understand the meaning thank you.

Interpretation:

Alaykum Salam,
Man represents murshid kamil, Allah on glasses represents Naqshbandi women, children’s books represents innocence and family life, and Allah knows best.

Sheikh Nazim al Haqqani’s Family

Question:

I’ve been trying to find out the family line or chain for sheikh Nazim al Haqqani but I’ve not been able to find it anywhere please could you answer my question thank you.

Answer:

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani wrote in Classical Islam and the Naqshbandi Sufi Tradition as cited at the Naqshbandi Website:

His lineage from his father’s side traces its roots to Sayiddina `Abdul Qadir Jilani, founder of the Qadiri Order. His lineage from his mother goes back to Sayiddina Jalaluddin Rumi, founder of the Mevlevi Order. He is  Hassani-Hussaini, related to the Prophet (s) through the lineages of his grandfathers to the Family of the Prophet (s). From his father’s side he received the Qadiri Tariqat. From his mother’s, the Mevlevi Tariqat.

Questions Regarding Haram Actions

Question:

Salaam Sidi,

A friend came to me with couple of questions, simple questions but he wants dalil (evidence) to back up the answers. His questions are :

1. Dalil on tattoo … there are a lot of youngsters getting tattoo and notice they are Muslim and still do 5 prayers. I looked on eshaykh but cant find the answer for those who are born Muslim. Why are tattoos not allowed, and how if we found out, guy with tattoo is our imam at a prayer.
—- on eshaykh, for those who are converts they are considered being purified. But, having a tattoo makes them unable to take najis off them?

2. Masturbation — why it is still considered haram although it’s meant to control nafs for unmarried men?

3. Toilet position — is not allowed to have the same position as qiblah, and what’s your view on this?

My apology for taking up your time to answer these questions.
Thank you, may Allah Swt grant you health and higher station, aameen.

salaam

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

1. Prophet upon him peace said that tattoo brings curse, so it is among the kaba’ir for a Muslim who knows this to get it done on themselves. But non-Muslims, or Muslims who do not know, then they make tawba, then that tawba is accepted even if they have not yet removed it. There is no issue of najasa.

2. No one anywhere said it masturbation is a means of control, on the contrary it is a loss of control. It is like eating on a day of obligatory fasting and is a sin which requires tawba. That is why Prophet upon him peace said marriage is half of religion, so men and women should control their lusts and appetites in a halal way whether single or married.

3. In open space facing qibla is not allowed when going to toilet but if it is indoors it is not an issue. This is shown by the hadiths in which the Holy Prophet (upon him blessings and peace) did face qibla when he was in a secluded space.

And Allah knows best.
