The six days of shawal after Aid

Question:

Assalamou aliakoum,
Ramadan moubarak
and Allah bless you all.

If one intends to fast the six of shawal, at the same time intends to make up the missed fast days, is that possible? or one should make up first the missed fast days then think about fasting in shawal for lagr.

Another question when one can begin with fasting? just after leid?

Thank you.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

I recall Mawlana Shaykh Nazim saying that the six days of Shawwal may double as qada fasts. Usually Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani begins the Shawwal fasts the day after Eid (ie. 2nd of Shawwal) and Allah knows best.

Do we really have to hate pork?

Question:

Salam Alaikum,
I just want to understand whether being Muslims do we really have to hate pork. As our Prophet (peace be upon him) has forbidden us from eating pork due to many diseases etc. It is haram. But being in foreign countries, going to a pizza shop and ordering a vegetarian pizza (where they even use beacon.) is that haram too. Some times we watch how they add ingredients just to make sure they are adding only vegetables. But still they use same gloves, thong, and oven to cook veg pizza. Please advise whether we really have to be so particular about utensils too? I want to understand being Muslim do we have to avoid pork or really hate pork? Sometimes I feel Allah has created human being and animals. Please advise as I am very confused.

Jazak Allah

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

There is no need for confusion. Our guidance is from Allah subhanahu wa ta`ala, so everything in Islam is clear and straightforward. Allah said:

He hath only forbidden you dead meat, and blood, and the flesh of swine, and that on which any other name hath been invoked besides that of Allah.
(al-Baqara, 2:173)

For further details, we turn to the guidance of our holy Prophet Sayyidina Muhammad (s) who was given direct revelation by the Archangel Jibril (as) as to what to do and when to do it and how. In this way, nothing was left to chance or the whims of human beings, for we are after all a fickle species. Look how hard a test food has always been, for it was the downfall of our holy father Sayyidina Adam (and our holy mother Sayyida Hawwa, may Allah bless them and grant them peace, and the cause to bring this entire species down from Paradise to earth.

Laylat ul Qadar

Question:

Assalam u alayekum !
1-Keeping in view the difference between moon sighting i want to ask that currently many countries are differing in calendar i.e on 27th night of Ramadhan in Saudia,Muslims in many parts of world mainly in sub-continent will be celebrating 26th night which will be an even night for those Muslims.Similarly on their 27th night, people of Saudia will be celebrating 28th night. So will those people celebrating even night be deprived of the blessings of layla-tul-qadr?
2-Is our Noble spiritual guide MSN Q.S is of the view that layla-tul-qadr is 27th night of Ramadhan?
Shukran.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Actions are by intentions and Allah is The Most Merciful of those who show mercy.

As for when to start and break fast, as Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani said many times on this forum and others, “follow the country you live in and don’t differ with the jama`at.”

Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani did celebrate Laylatu ‘l-Qadr on the 27th this year.

We recommend you keep connection with Mawlana Shaykh Nazim and his deputy Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani via the websites sufilive.com, haqqanisoul.com and naqshbandi.org.

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani is insha-Allah praying for you.

For this situation, Shaykh Hisham recommends you recite 300x Istighfar to remove obstacles between you and what you are seeking and 100 x laa hawla wa laa quwatta illa billah daily.

Dream: Mawlana Shaykh Nazim

Dream:

Assalamualaykum sayyedi,

I had a dream quite a while ago, in it i saw Mawlana Shaykh Nazim and sitting next to them was a very fair man with a reddish/brown beard however their features were vague as i cant remember clearly. it seemed as if they were kings sitting on a throne and everyone was surrounding them. I was there feeling so ecstatic and i felt as if the man was the Prophet may peace be upon him. Can you please interpret this dream was it the prophet(saw)? jazakAllah.
May Allah send immense blessings upon our beloved prophet(saw) and may Allah grant Mawlana Shaykh Nazim and Mawlana Shaykh Hisham long life, good health and happiness.

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

Insha-Allah that was Sayyidina `Isa (as) whom you saw, and that dream is showing Mawlana Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani as the connection, silah, between the Era of Jesus Christ and the Era of Sayyidina Muhammad (s). Sitting on thrones indicates the reality that the time of Mahdi (as) – which precedes Jesus Christ’s descent from heaven – will be the return of kings to rule with righteousness and apply Allah’s Divine Law. Seeing them vaguely means strive to improve your spirituality, which will allow you to see them more clearly.

Questions on Dhikr

Question:

Assallaamu alaikum,

Hope this mail finds you in a good health…

I want to ask you a question on what is the minimal set of daily awrad when I have very little time to do a dedicated full set of daily dhikr. Is it acceptable to recite from Syahadat to ihda and Allaahu Allaahu Allaahu haq and not continue to Allaah Allaah, 100 times shalawat, etc? Sometimes it is quite hard to find time to recite the whole set. Kindly advise and forgive me if this question is not appropriate.

Another question is about weekly dhikr of Khatam Kwajagan.sometimes we cannot attend the weekly dhikr in Zawiyah with authorized imam, can we substitute it with dhikir at home with the whole family members? Can the man of the house lead the dhikr? Kindly advise.

Many thanks in advance and please forgive any wrong adab…

Wassallaam alaikum

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

See the Post “Awrad: complete at once or in parts?

You may do the Khatm at home with the family, for a valid reason.
