Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Preventative measures are one aspect of abstention. Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani is preventing greater harm by prohibiting, in his fatwa, what leads to danger.

As Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani said in his khutba of 5th August, 2011:

We are passing in a time in which we are facing a major problem, that we are watching and using Facebook and YouTube and all other technology the Internet provides. It is not anymore a civilization, it is the worst ignorance that we are falling in. People might ask, “Why are you saying this? We are using the Internet for legal purposes, for things we need.” That might be ten percent of usage, but the other ninety percent might be devoted to viewing YouTube, Facebook, Google and Yahoo for sexual purposes and porn. You are losing your children because you raised them wrong! Now a child knows how to use the computer and you are letting your child sit behind the computer and watch programs that are not allowed! Don’t make excuses as they are rejected. You say, “We must follow the time.” No, the time must follow us.

So don’t give your ego an excuse to disregard the venerable Shaykh’s fatwa, rather say “I will find a better way to keep in touch with family and friends.” After all, before Facebook, computers, TV, video, Internet, instant messages, telecommunications, etc. didn’t families and friends keep in touch with each other? You don’t know what great problem you save yourself from by obeying this one restriction. After all, it was “only one” disobedience that cause our holy father Sayyidina Sayyidina Adam (as) to be cast out from Paradise.

Insha-Allah Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani is praying for you and us to be able to listen and “obey Allah, obey the Prophet (s) and obey those in authority.”

Disturbing fatwas

Question:

Assalamualaikum Mawlana Shaikh Hisham and all eshaykh staff,
Someone told me that it is lawful in Islam and fatwas have been given that people who slander the Angel Gibrael A.s, The Sahaba, or contest the Prophet S.a.w being the last Prophet are wajib ul qatl (lawful to kill). I don’t know what to say when they tell me that the ulema or muftis have given such fatwas. But it disturbs me, and I know this is not our way. So could you please in light of shariah give me an answer, so I may make people understand.

JazakAllah.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Slander against the Prophet (s) and his companions etc. is Kufr or heresy. The one who is present should defend Prophet (s) and his companions. He should inform this person that he is committing a major sin for which he should repent to Allah. If the slanderer persists in his wickedness after your advice then your duty is to abandon this person.

Scholars agreed that punishment on one who slanders a chaste innocent person is eighty lashes and to carry out this “hadd” is obligatory.

Dream: Moon falling to pieces

Dream:

After Fajr, I dreamt I was on the roof of my building seeing the moon. Some people on the roof of another building. The moon became like a white neon light, broke into pieces & fell on them. I got very scared. I felt that my brother had told me the moon would fall down in the end times. I began running away & asked Allah SWT for help. My Aqiq ring+’Allaahu-Haq Taweez‘ was glowing light orange. I called Shaykh Nazim for help thinking that with Allah’s permission he’ll help.

I couldn’t get down from my building, so I jump to another old building. It’s stone wall had a small opening. I broke part of the stone & got inside. I reached down & ran off to find my brother. I found him crying due to argument with my father. I dont remember the rest of the dream, but I was very very upset.

Interpretation:

This dream is self-evident. Your soul is trying to strengthen your belief in the words of your Shaykh. Insha-Allah you will be from those who are safe at that time, which we believe is very near.

Dream: baby

Dream:

aoa,
I saw a dream that me and my 2 sisters are lying in bed..me and my younger sister are having chat while my third sister is asleep…and we heard she is talking while asleep like maybe she is talking to someone in her sleep. She said I have told you so many times that I will have my baby in September and also she said one of our cousin is getting divorce…what does this dream mean because in reality she didn’t have any kids, she is married and trying for past 9 years but no luck…and the cousin she talked about is only 13 years old…and not even married.

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

Dreams do not adhere to the same rules of our waking state. The dreams of the believers could be real visions, they can also be “Adghathu Ahlam“, meaning they are just our brains trying to process the information of our daily realities, or whispering from Shaytan. Insha-Allah, we pray for you and for your sisters. Insha-Allah good things are coming to her and to your family.

Dream: Neighbourhood houses struck by lightning

Dream:

Salaam.
I had a dream after sehri. In my dream I hear thunder but I don’t see lightning. But I see almost all houses burnt down as lightning struck them. Our house was safe, with minor damage. Throughout the whole dream I didn’t see lightning or fire, I just saw the results. Someone please interpret this dream for me. Jazakallah.

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

As we are informed by the most honored one amongst creation, Sayyidna Muhammad (s), that the end of times will bring such calamities and destruction that few will survive those times (may Allah save us). He informed us that Divine punishment will cover the earth, except for those keeping the true way, they will be saved. May Allah makes us from them.
