Dream: Tsunami in Mecca

Dream:

I had a dream that Masjid ‘al haram, Makkah, “drowned” and got hit by a tsunami. Everyone held hands for their safety as the water rose up high. I was with my family. Then we got out of it safely. Most people did and the water retrenched gradually. Please interpret if you can. I heard that dreams about Mecca have significant meanings. Thank you, Allah bless.

Interpretation:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

wa `alaykum salam,

Insha-Allah your heart will be dressed with abundant waters of Divine knowledge and blessings.

Dream: Sayyidina Isa at Umayyid Mosque

Dream:

salaam I had a dream I saw Isa a.s in my dream by a place that looks like a church with a minaret. People say he is Jesus and I say he is the Prophet Isa and someone’s voice says he is the false Messiah. I ask if its Dajjal but I get no reply and I see these animal-like things with wings on top of the dome of the church destroying a cross. The church looks like the Ummayd mosqe with a cross on the dome

Interpretation:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

wa `alaykum salam,

Insha-Allah you will be among the followers of Sayyiduna al-Mahdi (a.s.) and Sayyidina `Isa (a.s.).  S. `Isa will descend at the Ummayad mosque as described in the hadith.

<<Allah, the Exalted, will send the Messiah, (Jesus) the son of Mary, peace be upon him, who will descend near a white minaret to the East of Damascus, wearing two yellow-dyed garments, with his hands resting upon the wings of two angels.  As he bends his head, droplets of water will fall from it and when he raises it droplets like pearls will fall from it.>>

Dream: Domes of two majids being destroyed

Dream:

Asalamu Alaykum,

I saw a dream where two masjids in my area had their domes destroyed. I recognised one of the masjid which has a green dome which is still being bulit but the other I did not; it had a white dome. But in my dream I knew they were from my town. I then went to have a look at the green dome and I saw it being rebuilt.
Please interpret my dream.

JazakAllah Khair
May Allah bless you all.

Asalamu Alaykum,

Interpretation:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

wa `alaykum salam,

The green dome indicates the Prophet’s (s) green dome in Madina al-Munawwara.  The destruction of the green dome echoes the hadith that Yathrib (old Madina) will be destroyed.  Insha-Allah the rebuilding of the dome heralds the return of the true Islamic beliefs and civilization.

Dream: Seeing Pir o Murshid

Dream:

Asalamu Aleikum,

I’m a mureed in Qadariyaa silsilah.. I was in a (class) room with my pir o murshid..I was sitting on a bench with my feet on it..in a relaxed manner and at the same time I knew that it was not the right way to sit in the presence of one’s pir o murshid but it wasn’t in my control.. There was also a young boy (16/17) on my left side sitting with me..whom I didn’t know..(there were also other people in the classroom but I think that I was the only female there)..on the end my pir o murshid started handing out Islamic booklets to everyone as a gift but when it was my turn they didn’t give me any..then the boy next to me gave me his booklet that he got from our pir o murshid.

JazakAllahu Khairan

Interpretation:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,
Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

wa `alaykum salam,

Your pir may be indicating to you that your trust may be with someone else.  This happened to our pir Mawlana Shaykh Nazim as related in part of his biography below:

During his first year in Istanbul he met his first spiritual Shaykh, Shaykh Sulayman Arzarumi, a Shaykh of the Naqshbandi Order who died in 1368 H/1948 CE. While he studied Chemical Engineering, he would attend the gathering of this Shaykh to learn the discipline of the Naqshbandi Order, in addition to his two orders, the Qadiri and the Mevlevi.

He could usually be seen in Sultan Ahmad’s Mosque, meditating by himself throughout the night. He says,”There I received great blessings and great peace in my heart. I always prayed the      Dawn Prayer in that mosque with my two Shaykhs, Shaykh Jamaluddin al-Alasuni and Shaykh Sulayman Arzarumi. They were educating me and putting in  my heart the spiritual knowledge. I had many visions during that time, drawing me to go to the Holy Land of Damascus, but I didn’t yet have permission from my  Shaykh. Many times in my visions, through Self-Effacement, I saw the Prophet Muhammad  calling me to his presence. There was a deep yearning in my heart to leave everything and to migrate to the Holy City of the Prophet .

“One day, when this longing in my heart was particularly intense, I saw a vision in which my Shaykh, Sulayman Arzarumi, came, shook me by the shoulder, and told me, ‘Now the permission has come. Your secrets and your trust and your spiritual guidance are not with me. I only held you as a trust until you were ready for your real Shaykh, who is also my Shaykh, Shaykh `Abdullah ad-Daghestani. He is holding your keys. So go to him in Sham. This permission comes from me and from the Prophet .” [Shaykh Sulayman Arzurumi was one of the 313 saints of the Naqshbandi Order, who stand in the footsteps of and represent the 313 messengers.]

Dream: A beautiful touch

Dream:

Salam I saw that I was in a white beautiful place & saw people standing in a line.  I walked ahead of them & entered a beautiful white place. Inside I saw a man standing there. He was wearing  white clothes. I entered. He turned around looked at me & smiled at that moment.  People were saying he never turns around he always has his back to people when they visit him. Then people started saying its Prophet Muhammad s.a.w & repeated this.  At that moment I felt it was him. He approached me was smiling. He put his arm around holding me & was talking & saying nice things to make me feel happy & consoling me for quite some time but I can’t remember now what he was saying, & he had no beard & had noor on his face, fair skin, beautiful with big green eyes!

Interpretation:

Fasting

Question:

Asalaam Alaykum .

I have a question for Sheikh Hisham.

My husband and i have different views on Ramadan and Fasting. My husband believes that the main purpose of fasting is to stay hungry so we know how the poor feel when they are hungry, thus encouraging you to give money to the poor. He also does not belive in waking up for Suhoor/Sehri to eat and beleives he will be rewarded more if he fasts without eating anything. Furthermore, he does not give much importance to ibadah and belives he will still receive all reward for fasting despite not waking up for Suhoor and missing some of his Salat/Prayers.

Please advise if he is correct and what is the correct ettiquette and reasoning for fasting. Thank you.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani said, in a khutbah:

…when you are fasting you will remember your Lord and you will remember how much favors He gave you during the year, at any time of day and night you are able to eat and drink. But in this month you are not able to eat and drink except certain hours in order to feel with the poor.

In another suhbat:

The Prophet Sayyidina Muhammad (s) said that prayer is the pillar of our religion. And he (s)  “Between kufr, unbelief, and iman, faith is only prayer.” Allah has made the prayers an obligation, and demands that we all teach that and insists on it.

Regarding the pre-dawn meal, suhoor:

The Prophet (s) said: “Have suhoor, for in suhoor there is blessing (baraka).” (Bukhari, Fath, 4/139).

And “Suhoor is blessed food, and it involves being different from the people of the Book.”

What is Baraka?

A well-known da`ee explains baraka as follows:

والبركة: هي ثبوت الخير الإلهي في الشيء؛ فإنها إذا حلت في قليل كثرته، وإذا حلت في كثير نفع، ومن أعظم ثمار البركة في الأمور كلها إستعمالها في طاعة الله عز وجل.

Baraka is the attachment of Divine Goodness to a thing, so if it occurs in something little, it increases it. And if it occurs in something much it benefits. And the greatest fruit of baraka in all things is to use it in the obedience of Allah, Exalted and Majestic.”

On the other hand, one of the many blessings of Ramadan is to bring the family closer and increase love and affection. If disputing with your husband regarding such details causes friction and division, it is best not to bring them up, but rather focus on what is positive and on what you agree upon, and then Allah will increase the blessings, insha-Allah.
