Dream:

Bismillahi r-Rahmani r-Raheem
Assalamu alaikum.

I took online bayyth with Sultan close to one year ago.. I had my first dream few months after that.. Saw the Sultan was sitting and I ran towards him and kissed his hand. He smiled and nodded.

Today I just got a second dream I saw Sheikh Nazim came to me and offered his hand saying “my son”..he was very young looking as if
he was 25 and was very energetic. I quickly replied “father” and kissed his hands.. Then he started walking very fast and I followed him and ask whether I can learn from him..His reply was as if saying “just follow me”..
Then he was holding a baby.. He showed me the baby was sleeping.. I took the baby carrying it and the baby smiled and Sheikh also smiled..dream end.

I’ve always felt that im not good enough to be Sultan’s disciple..please help me.
Assalamualaikum..

Prayer Request: bad character

Request:

asalaamu alaikum
Over the last few years I have had some big changes in my life. Unfortunately this included changes in the structure of my friends too, leaving me closer to those who are not practicing. I have noticed many bad patterns developing in myself which I know I never had before eg. being negative about almost everyone around me.
I am aware of it and it makes me feel sick that I do this. Please pray that inshallah I am able to better myself with your help. thank you

Response:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

Dream: Mother’s dream

Dream:

Salam Shaykh Gibryl,
My mother is a good Muslim and always gets signs from Allah in whatever matters concern her and based on this I believe she is close to Him. Sometime back she asked Allah when He would call her. The evening she got a dream- she was standing on a hill top and notices from the sky a maple leaf falling slowly. It exhibits a brilliant white light or a glow around it. She points to it and tells people to look into the sky and nobody does. In sometime, the leaf comes down and slightly touches her left shoulder. The effect of this was so real that my mother woke up from sleep. What does the dream mean? Does this have anything to do with her asking Allah when He would call her?

Interpretation:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

wa `alaykum salam,

This dream gives a reflection from the reality of the furthest Lote tree. Each of us has a leaf on that tree, when it reaches to us we sense it is our time. In this dream she is attentive to heavens, to which many people are not. That dream reflects to your mother that process that when it is her time insha-Allah she will know in her soul.

wa’Allahu a`lam.

Dream: Do the Whirling Dervish

Dream:

Assalammy’alaykum wa Rahmatullah,

Destur Madad Ya Allah, Destur Madad Ya Rasulullah,
Destur Madad Ya
Mawlana Shaykh Nazim Haqqani,
Destur Madad Ya Mawlana Shaykh Hisyam Kabbani

This happened a week after Ied-Fitri last year. In my dream, Mawlana Shaykh Hisyam Kabbani sit on a chair and the mureeds were sitting around him as usually. Then Mawlana Shaykh Hisyam pointed at me and said,”You, come here!”. And, I came to Mawlana and kiss his right hand, then Mawlana Shaykh Hisyam said,”You can whirl. Do it now!”. After saying that, suddenly my clothes turned into Whirling dervish costume (like the Mevlevi use in Turkey) and I started whirling just like I’m a professional whirler.

Dream: Dreaming of Sheikh Nazim

Dream:

This early morning between 3 & 5 a.m. I had a dream. I am traveling KSA with intention of performing umrah. I didn’t see I am entering Mecca. I was seated opposite an Arab handsome and well dressed (shining cream and Gold) and I suddenly heard from behind group of people reciting Asma Ul Husna while playing Duff. Every other Arabs stood other than myself and that Arab. I turned back to see then I saw a Green turban then I got up to see who it is. For my surprise it is Sheikh Nazim. I was so happy to see him, I soon went towards him greeted with salaam and kissed his hand (I felt his hand is kind of chilled/cool) and telling him, “Sheikh you’re here” with surprise. Then he smiled at me and said “yes I am here” 3 times. Please explain.

Interpretation:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

This dream shows the honor, Sharaf, Shaykh Nazim has as al-Warith Muhammad and that your soul is honored by accepting his Wilaya.

Hadith about the roasted sheep

Question:

as-salamu `alaykum wa rahmatullah Dear Shaykh Gibril,
I was randomly browsing through an English translation of Shaykh al-Ghawiji’s Kalimat Ilmiyyah that I found on the internet and the following passage caught my attention:
<The Musnad narrates from Abul Rāf‘i who said: “A roasted sheep was made for Allah’s Messenger, the Salutations and Peace of Allah be upon him,  and I brought it to him. He said: “Oh Abū Rāfi‘, pass me the shoulder.” I passed it on to him. Then he said: “Pass me the shoulder.” I passed it on to him.” Then he again said: “Pass me the shoulder.” I said: “Oh Messenger of Allah, does a sheep not only have two shoulders?” He, the salutations and Peace of Allah replied: “If you had kept silent, you would have given me the shoulder which I had called for.”>

I tried looking for the original Arabic but was unable to locate it. Would you happen to know where I could find it?  Also, more importantly, I’d be most obliged if you could highlight the meaning of the last sentence:  “If you had kept silent, you would have given me the shoulder which I had called for.”
I’m not sure if I’m understanding the import behind this statement.
barakAllahu feekum,

Answer:

`Alaykum as-salam,

It is narrated by Imam Ahmad in his Musnad with a fair chain according to Imam al-Haythami in Majma` al-Zawa’id. Abu Rafi`, Allah be well-pleased with him, was one of the mawlas of the Prophet (upon him and his House blessings and peace).

This hadith illustrates the difference between madad/`adad or between baraka/`ada (human custom). Madad, Divine help, is connected with malakut, the Divine world, and cannot be counted or measured because it is from the Prophetic manifestation of the Divine Names and Attributes and the gift of {Kun fa-yakun}; whereas `adad is our common counting in worldly terms, which puts limits on things even when they are originally beyond limits.

This hadith shows the appreciation of the Prophet (upon him blessings and peace) for the Divine munificence, and its depreciation by the questioning of the questioner. It is similar to another hadith in the two Sahihs in which our Mother `A’isha said that after the Prophet (upon him blessings and peace) left this world she “had nothing left to eat in the house except a bit of barley on a shelf; so I ate from it and time passed. I was wondering how come it was lasting so long, so I weighed it. Soon after it finished.”

Ibn Hajar compared the two hadiths in Fath al-Bari and he summed up their message with the phrase: “Out of the negativity of objecting (shu’m al-mu`arada) comes the removal of blessing.” He also mentioned a third similar hadith in the two Sahihs, Sunan and Musnad, as spoken to Asma’ bint Abi Bakr, Allah be well-pleased with them: “Spend and do not measure lest Allah measure against you” (Anfiqi wa-la tuhsi fa yuhsiya Allahu `alayki).

The numerous verbal flights away from measure and count in the invocations of Dala’il al-Khayrat have to be understood in the context of those noble hadiths. In Damascus they would say just lift the lid, scoop up a serving, and put the lid back without checking what’s left. Hence what the Awliya give us we should never count or weigh lest this baraka be reduced to our own devices which are all about limitations.

As for the hadith in al-Bukhari “Weigh your food and it will be blessed for you” (kilu ta`amakum yubarak lakum), Ibn Hajar explained that it means at the time of sale and purchase. And Allah knows best.

Permission to use a certain dhikr

Question:

Salaamu alaykum wr wb. Bismillahi Rahmaani Rahiim.

Thank you for answering our questions. May Allah accept you.

I met a Filippino mujahid who visited the Masjid an-Nabi (saw) in the early 90’s. There he met a person of a high spiritual state, who stayed in the masjid around the clock. After few days the person introduced himself as an officer of Mahdi (as). Then he taught the Filippino to repeat “Allahu Akbar Kabiira walhamdulillahi kahtiiran kathiiran kathiira” as often as possible. He told that it is a takbir for the soldiers of Mahdi (as). Is it permissible for us to repeat this takbir and can you tell anything else about its power or the officer in question? Thank you in advance: Salaamu alaykum wr wb.

Answer:

`Alaykum as-Salam,

It is a sunnah takbir which every student of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim may say after every salat.

Diet

Request:

Salaam honourable Sheikhs.

I am young and have an extremely unhealthy diet. All I eat is junk. I always say to myself I’m going to stop but my nafs always defeats me. PLEASE PRAY FOR ME, I am weak. All I can say is Alhamdulillah that I have had no problems but this is what I fear.

Could you please give me something to recite or a good healthy diet to follow or at least some heavenly advice. Again I sincerely ask: pray for me.

Jazakallah Khair

Response:

`Alaykum Salam,

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham will pray for you. Continue to say alhamdulillah and say also ash-shukrulillah. You need to travel to Lekfe, Cyprus and ask Mawlana Shaykh Nazim to blow on you. Stay there for a while if you can. In the meantime, try to spend more time with spiritual people.

Wet dreams from Shaytan?

Question:

Assalamaleikum brother.

I will ask a question about wet dreams. Are wet dreams from Shaytan or they are only naturally for releasing our sexual energy??

Wasalam

Answer:

`Alaykum as-Salam,

They are from Shaytan. The Holy Prophet (upon him blessings and peace) had been given the energy of forty men, but he did not experience such dreams, nor did any of the Prophets according to the majority of Ahl as-Sunnah wa’l-Jama`ah.
