Baha’u’llah and the Baha’is

Question:

I already asked about Baha’u’llah and Baha’i long ago, but felt to wonder a bit more, though it’s a difficult topic. I joined with the Baha’is soon after becoming Sufi to experience and explore the culture more myself. Baha’is are still persecuted without mercy or compassion by some so-called muslims because some of Baha’u’llah’s commandments still seem prophetic, and because they believe it’s innovation to Islam, though it retains respect for the ways of Islam and for all religion created by the one God. But Baha’u’llah was also said to be in close harmony and refuge with the Naqshbandi Sufis of his time. His writings are masterfully eloquent, and Baha’is believe he’s messianic! My Sufi friend seems to think he’s just a saint. What are the Naqshbandi thoughts, opinions, or blessings of Baha’u’llah and Baha’is?

Answer:

See the Post “The Baha’i Faith“.

I have relationship with a man who i admire him and he admires me but for financial issues and ALLAH’S WILL we did not get married yet. may ALLAH allow me to get married soon insha allah.

Response:

wa `alaykum salam,

Insha-Allah Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani is praying for you to fulfill this so important Sunnah.

Try between you both not to let financial issues to keep you from marrying. After all you are both surviving financially apart, so together should have more baraka. For that Allah said, {Marry those among you who are single, or the virtuous ones among yourselves, male or female: if they are in poverty, Allah will give them means out of His grace: for Allah encompasseth all, and he knoweth all things.} (an-Nur, 24:32)

Dream: Dream abt Shaykh Hisham & Shaykh Nazim

Dream:

Assalamualaikum wr wb

I had the following dream when I was in a state of junub so I am not sure whether the dream is valid. I dreamt I was wading in water waist deep. Then, I was in a house and Shaykh Hisham said that Shaykh Nazim had agreed to guide me. Then I saw Shaykh Nazim’s face smiling from a distance (although I’m not sure he was physically there). I remember being very happy to hear the news.

Also, throughout my life I have occasionally had dreams about 1) escaping from a tsunami 2) about Qiamat happening.

If you could help me interpret the above dreams, I would be grateful. Syukran & Wassalam.

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

Insha-Allah it is a valid dream and the meaning is clear. Tsunamis are signs of the Last Days, which are also indicated by the dreams of Qiyamah. These are warnings to prepare for the Last Days which we have already entered, and Allah knows best.

Disappointed with seeking to marry

Question:

Assalamu wa ‘aleykum
I live in a country and have sought to find a wife, but here even the Muslims are modern or ask for gifts exaggerated marry, marry only the daughters who have money or who is Arabic, I am not Arabic, because it takes a convert a life more painful than a Muslim who was born in Muslim family to marry? I have tried to find a wife but here only the Lebanese and Palestinians have these biased because I’m converted, or even converted to only want to marry foreign men as Pakistanis, Arabs, Indians, in my case, what to do? even in these sites as I have found here sufilovematch not find a wife, what better way then to find a Muslim wife? I await the answer.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

The only practical way is to have others who are of similar mindset “hook you up”.  I.e. if you attend the Dhikr association, the murids there can seek a suitable single lady and make the introduction. Other than that it is difficult.

Dream: Many dreams Mawlana Sheikh Nazim

Dream:

Asalam alaikum to Mawlana Sh. Hisham, and e-sheikh staff. In general I dream of Mawlana Sh. Nazim a lot mashallah. I have too many to interpret, however, my last dream is as follows. I dream Mawlana is on top of a hill, with his whole family, and I am at the bottom of hill climbing up to him. He points to me saying he is waiting for me, and to come. (I recently returned from Cyprus). Another dream was a few nights ago I was sad and crying to M. Sh. Hisham saying a person thinks I am not worthy of being a good Muslim with a high status. He says, “you will” etc.. Then I see M. Sh. Nazim everywhere I turn. I cry and go into a trance .. I dream of Hajja Naziha, and Hajja Rukiya and Hajja Anna my Allah bless them all

Interpretation:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

wa `alaykum salam,

These are spiritual gifts to put certainty in your heart for your journey of climbing over the bad characteristics of the self.

wa’Allahu a`lam.

Dream: Istikhara and Results

Dream:

I recently prayed Istikhara regarding a potential spouse to see if he was right for me. I prayed for 7 days and saw dreams on the 6th and 7th nights.

6th night, I dreamt of flowers growing in my garden, beautiful, long and vibrant. I was surprised in the dream as I didn’t expect the flowers to grow.
7th night, I dreamt that my friend got stung by a venomous insect immediately as I tried to warn her – luckily she wasn’t affected and the pain died within seconds. We laughed in relief at the close call.

What do the dreams mean? I believed it meant he was right for me so I continued talking to him. However, we broke up recently and I’m confused. Is there still a chance with him, according to the dream? Please explain.

I really appreciate the priceless work you do at eshaykh.com. Thank you!

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

Insha-Allah the istikhara is good, but some envy may ensue from which insha-Allah you are protected.

Reading Quran without tajweed.

Question:

Asalaam wayekum,

I am very embaressed about this and it has taken me ages to ask this. I ask this question as I know that it is a common problem. Awhile ago I asked the question about sarf and nahv as I was struggling. I was struggling as when I learnt Quran, I did not learn it with the proper tajweed as many people pronounced the Arabic letters like Urdu. I am trying to sort this now. My question is that can I still read Quran even if I have not fully perfected the tajweed? After all, it is trying to break the habits of a lifetime. Someone said that I shouldn’t.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

No, in fact there is far more blessings coming to the non-Arab who struggles to read Allah Most High’s Holy Word than to the Arab who recites with ease, and our shuyukh teach that the angels correct our mispronunciation.
