The best to do to attract people back to Mosque

Question:

Assalamu’alaikum Ya Mawlana Syaikh Hisyam,
Originating from a country with Islamic values and now living in a western country, a number of moslems who are concerned with the behaviors of their young generation that begin to loose track from Islamic teachings have recently gathered and discussed the best ways to protect this generation. One of the biggest obstacles is many of the parents of these children have very low attention to Islamic teachings. We have a mosque but our activities seem unattractive for the parents and their teenagers. We believe that guidance is only from Allah, we just can’t do nothing witnessing this. Most of us are not of tarekat people. What can we do to enliven our mosque and make ways for our community to be more and more faithful to Islam? Thank you Mawlana for your du’a and guidance.

Wassalamu’alaikum

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Since the mosque-goers are not mainly involved in tariqah you must do something that is acceptable to them. The best thing for engaging youth and adults both, is Mawlid an-Nabi (s). Note that Mawlid may be done on any day, not only on the 12th of Rabi` al-Awwal, and you can include in it recitation of Burdah Sharifa and other qasaid, and teach the children these wonderful recitations, in both Arabic and in English so they get the valuable teachings of the Greatness of our Holy Prophet (s) as well as the spiritual tajalli of the recitation.  Doing so will attract the vision of the Prophet (s) to the gathering which will uplift it further and direct them towards goodness, insha-Allah.

Visions

Question:

A’salaam alaykum
I drank the water in which some of the names of Allah had been disolved as a way to cure my illness. Many people in a gathering appeared to me. I could see them clearly if I closed my eyes but I wasn’t trying to imagine them. They were very happy and asked how I got there. They also gave me instructions to follow. I’m terrified of what they told me. What should I do?

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

It is best to ask the one who prescribed the cure.

A question from a nine year old:

Request:

Assalamualykum Wa Rahmatullah, Dearest Hajjah Nazihe

My daughter asked me, “All people believe that their religion is the true religion. How do I know that my religion is the true one.”

I don’t know how to answer her. Please help. She has been asking me this question since she was six.

Thank you. Jazakumullahu khayran fid-darayn.

Response:

wa `alaykum salam,

1. Islam is the only Religion that calls people to worship God only and not His creations.

2. Islam teaches the belief that all the Prophets of God carried, including Prophet Jesus and Moses peace be upon them. Prophet Jesus (`Isa) came with the original Bible and in it had the message of God is One without a partner, that God is unlike His creations in anyway whatsoever, that He is the only One who deserves to be worshipped. The original Bible that Prophet Jesus came with had been changed and even the Christian scholars admit to this. So this means that the true message of Jesus Christ (`Alayhi Salam) was altered, or lost.

3. All of the Prophets starting with Prophet Adam and until the Final Prophet and Messenger, Muhammad Peace be upon all of them, came with “La ilaha il-Llah” (There is no God but God). Prophets are the pioneers of mankind. God sent them to teach humanity about their Creator, about Paradise and hell, about what’s good to do and what’s bad  not to do.

4. All Messengers were Prophets but not all Prophets were Messengers. What is the difference? The Prophet who is a Messenger is one to whom God revealed new Laws differing from the Laws of the previous Messenger before Him. The Prophet who is not a Messenger also received the Revelation from God, in which he was ordered to follow the Laws of the previous Messenger.  Prophet Jesus is a Messenger that came with the Holy Bible. The Holy Bible at that time was the new set of Laws to be applied. So following the Torah during the time of Prophet Jesus would be invalid because the people were obliged to accept Jesus as a Prophet and to follow the new set of Laws revealed by God. So a believer at that time would utter “There is no God but God and Jesus is the messenger of God” while believing in all of the Prophets before him. So after a few hundred years had passed, ignorance reigned supreme over the people and then God sent the final Messenger, the seal of the Prophets, Muhammad. Muhammad came with a new Law revealed to him by God. This is the Holy Qur’an and it is valid until the Day of Judgment.

5. Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu `Alayhi wa salam) went through the greatest hardships to spread the universal message of “La ilaha ill ‘Llah” and he was sent as a mercy to all of humanity, black, white, Arab, Chinese, Pakistani, Hispanic, and so on. All of the prophet before him were sent to a certain tribe or people but not Prophet Muhammad, He was sent to all. For one to become a believer today one must utter loud enough to hear oneself and with the intention to embrace Islam ” There is no God but God and Muhammad is the Messenger of God” while believing in all of the Prophets before him.

6. Islam holds Allah as One, Unique, and Perfect.

7. The Quran does not contain contradictions.

8. The Quran contains scientific facts, which are 1300 years ahead of their time. The Quran while revealed 1400 years ago contains scientific facts, which are only now being discovered. It is not in contradiction with science.

9. Allah challenges the world to produce the like of the Quran. And He says they won’t be able to.

10.  Prophet Mohammed was the most influential man in History. Even a non-Muslim wrote a book called the 100 most influential men in History, and Prophet Mohammed was #1. Prophet Jesus was #3. Note even Prophet Jesus was a prophet sent by Allah. Would Allah allow a false prophet to be so successful? No. Even the Bible says this in Deuteronomy 18:19. A false prophet would die!!! Yet Prophet Mohammed did not die till he completely conveyed, and taught Allah’s religion.

11. Prophet Mohammed had many prophecies, and all of his prophecies have come true, or are still coming true.

12. Prophet Mohammed was given many miracles, but his greatest one was to receive the Holy Qur’an. While the miracles of all the previous prophets and messengers have gone with them, the Holy Qur’an stays to be the MIRACLE until the Judgment Day.

Dream of Rasul Allah Sal Allahu alayhi wassallam

Question:

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,
May Allah SWT bless you all in this life and in the hereafter.
May Allah sent infinite blessings and peace on Sayyidina Muhammad and his family and companions.

In a dream i saw a beautiful person without any beard and wearing a modern clothes sitting on a bench in a room. I was told by someone in the dream that the person is Sayyidina Muhammad SAW. He was sitting on a bench with some other people sitting on other benches in the room and Sayyidina Muhammad SAW and these other people were all crying and making du’a.

Pls advise on the meaning of this dream, insha Allah.

jazak Allah khair

Answer:

Walaikum assalam,

Seeing Sayyidina Muhammad in a Dream is a grant in its own. Although if you see him with some imperfection in a dream, it would mean one of two things: it either signifies that you did not see Sayyidina Muhammad (pbuh), or it signifies that you have an imperfection in your spiritual life, and it is only showing itself in his mirror as a physical imperfection. Beard is very important sign of a man’s perfection, and Sayyidina Muhammad (pbuh) is perfect.

Success is from Allah.

Dream: Prophet peace and blessings be upon him

Dream:

Assalomo AlaIkum Ya Syedi
i had a dream where the Prophet pbuh is about to make salaah, and they ask me to pray next to them, and i look at them with a smile and say to them how can i pray next to you,you are the Prophet Sallalahoo Aalaihewasalim, and they respond with a beautiful heart melting smile, in the dream i notice when i start to to make sallah i am facing the kaabah but the Prophet of mercy begins to pray facing in an other direction, in the dream they leave me with 4 things, and the only thing i remember is a box of matches..Jazakallah

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

Mabruk, that is a wonderful and blessed dream. You have attracted the attention of  Sayyidina Muhammad (s) by your devotion and he is guiding you to a higher station, rather than facing the qiblah of brick and mortar, facing the Divine Presence. He gave you four secrets, three of which you are not able to grasp but which will be revealed to you by employing the first al-Kibrit al-Ahmar, the Red Sulphur, who in this time is Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim al-Haqqani.

Here is a rare suhbat by Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani about this subject:

The Kibrit al-Ahmar is the Red Sulphur, and is something whose existence is very rare. Kibrit al-Asfar, Yellow Sulphur, is more common. Awliyaullah generally are like Yellow Sulphur, but among them are a very few who are very rare, and they are the Kibrit al-Ahmar.

What is sulphur, kibrit? It is the source of fire. So Yellow Sulphur represents awliya in general who have a fiery power. When they release that energy that Allah put in their hearts they can reach anywhere they want. And sulphur is that by which fire comes, it means you produce fire; you produce warmth. That warmth is when you feel warm, not cold. It means you are in that cozy comforting presence. They carry you to that Divine Presence. That sulphur also means what Sayyidina Musa spoke of:

{And when Moses had fulfilled his term and was wandering with his family [in the desert], he perceived a fire on the slope of Mount Sinai; [and so] he said to his family: ‘Wait here. Behold, I perceive a fire [far away]; perhaps I may bring you from there some tiding, or [at least] a burning brand from the fire, so that you might warm yourselves.} (Surat al-Qasas, 28:29)

When he was returning from Yemen he met Sayyidina Shu`ayb who gave him his daughter after Sayyidina Musa (as) gave him eight years of work. Finally taking his leave in the tenth year, on his way back to Egypt, he arrived in the valley of Mt. Sinai, Tur Sina. There, in midst of a dark and blustery night, he saw a fire. He told his family, “Wait, I see intimacy at that fire (not as they translate ‘I perceive a fire’). Let me go and get something to warm you with it.”

That is like the sun, a source of light and warmth, so awliya when you are around them you always feel warmth and light.

That is the general case with the Yellow Sulphur. The Red Sulphur is above the Yellow Sulphur. Only a few awliyaullah can be called by that title. Their existence is very rare. They are not like common awliyaullah. They have been chosen to be taken to a higher level.

Their teaching is red. First you begin at the green light, then you go to yellow and then to red. Red is a higher level wali, one who can prevent you from falling into a problem. The yellow one takes you to the red. The saint of the Yellow Sulphur is in the common level of sainthood and can prepare you to be ready but he cannot prevent difficulties or obstacles from coming in front of you. Only the Red Sulphur can stop you from being in harm or difficulties. The yellow ones have their limits. The Red can have influence on you to bring you to maximum attention to you of not falling into the whispers of Shaytan. That is the difference between the Red Sulphur and Yellow Sulphur.

There is the maqamat al-awliya, an hierarchy of saints, including the Qutb al-Ghawth and the Aqtab and all those under them.

The base of pyramid is the basic wali level. Don’t think between yellow and red is one level. There are many different colors in between that you cannot count them even. What we can see they say are the common colors, and they number seven. In reality there more colors in between. In reality there are infinite number of colors in between for they change in grades. In every different second there is a new color from white to black and from black to white.

There is one Red Sulphur in every century. (Century here means the lifetime of the Ghawth). One passes away, another comes. There must be someone sitting on that seat.

وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلاَئِكَةِ إِنِّي جَاعِلٌ فِي الأَرْضِ خَلِيفَةً

Innee ja`ilun fi ’l-ardi khalifa.

{Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: “I will create a vicegerent on earth.”} (Surat al-Baqara, 2:30)

The one who is sitting on that seat is the Red Sulphur. Shaykh Sharafuddin ad-Daghestani was known as the Red Sulphur, then after him, Grandshaykh `Abdullah ad-Daghestani and then Mawlana Shaykh Nazim is the Kibrit al-Ahmar in our time.

That is a hidden station. Not everyone knows our shaykh. But the highest level wali in that hierarchy to be hidden 100 percent cannot be. The top one cannot be hidden. But in between the top and the bottom are many awliya and they can be hidden in different areas.
