khatmu i-khwaajagan

Question:

assalamu alaykum Shaykh Hisham
I’m a mureed of Shaykh Nazim. My question is I would like to do khatmu i-khwaajagan on Thursdays in my area but I went 3 years ago and I saw haram. I read in hidaya & durre mukhtar if you know there is going to be haram don’t go. So what should I do if I see actions against shariat? Should I say something but there would be fitna or should I be quiet but it would be as if I’m agreeing with them? Or should I leave and not go again? But if I heard Shaykh Nazim saying you should do khatmu i-khwaajagan what should I do? Hope you can answer me.

Answer:

`Alaykum as-Salam,

Mawlana said to go to the Khatm; if we do not go because of X, Y and Z it means we assume that Mawlana either does not know about those negative elements, or he knows and he still wants us to attend. The correct assumption is the latter. Perhaps a chance will arise when we can gently correct what is wrong, or realize that we ourselves made a wrong judgment and that the wrong was unintentional or a one time thing. Mawlana in Cyprus, London etc. put up with much more than you and me. It is not “agreement” to bad actions to still attend, but rather agreement with Mawlana’s order together with sabr and jihad an-nafs. People in those gatherings are works in progress. They – and we also – make mistakes but sincerity, nasiha and Divine madad save us from our mistakes. Meanwhile we should not give up on the whole group, the Khatm, and Mawlana’s order, otherwise what chance does anybody have?

Try to balance all that you mentioned in a way that fulfills all obligations at the same time. Ask Allah Most High to give you hilm which means both wisdom and patience as well as softness and gentleness.

Prayer Request: My beloved brother

Request:

Asalaamu alaykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh Beloved Shaykh Hisham and mureeds/staff.

1. My beloved brother is having difficulties with studies (financially) and he is looking for a good job. He is also the eldest so he has many responsibilities on his head. Please pray that he may get the “best” job with the best conditions and salary, pray for his future life and happiness here and hereafter, for his protection from all evilness, and to be from the army of Sayyidina Mahdi (as).

2. My family are intending to go umrah. What prayer should I pray for you and Mawlana Shaykh and for the whole ummah when I go there?

with lots of love and salaam

Response:

`Alaykum as-Salam,
Mawlana Shaykh Hisham will pray for you and your brother.
May Allah accept your `Umrah and reward you. Make abundant Salawat and include Mawlana Shaykh Nazim, Mawlana Shaykh Hisham, and the Ummah in them.

Dream: Read

Dream:

Salam Shaykh,
I had a dream where I was in a mosque. There was a person in a white robe in front of me. He told me to look up and I saw it was dome shaped and colorful with quranic verses. He then put his lips on mine and told me to read. Please explain.
May Allah bless you with infinite blessings.

Interpretation:

`Alaykum as-Salam,
Amin,
and you also.
Mosques are the houses of Allah and in dreams they represent learned teachers. You saw an angel giving you spiritual dictation and it is narrated that there is one angel standing on the believers’ lips who is in charge of recording salawat exclusively. So seek after spiritual
knowledge and make abundant Salawat on the Prophet (upon him blessings and peace).

Dream: The Names of Allah

Dream:

I am on a motorcycle driven by a cousin who passed away long ago. As soon as I realized it was him, I started saying loud Bissimillahi Rahmani Rahim and pressing his lower back. He started to giggle. Then I said YA QAWI. He said to me no, no not Ya QAWI. I kept saying it and then appeared a dark woman with magic power chasing us. I blew Ya QAWI towards her. She started to lose power. I touched her while reciting the Divine Name. Then I said Ya KHAFID on her, she became thin. I look at her and recited on her La hawla wa la quwwata illa billahil aliyil azim
I certainly need help.
NB: In many of my dreams I told the attackers that I am the possessor of the Names and that my feet are on their neck.

Interpretation:

Seeing a dead person alive means a past matter that was settled will become current again and difficulties will be lifted. You will be following the path of your cousin under Divine Mercy and support insha-Allah.

About Ijmah of Scholars on the birth date of Prophet (s)

Question:

Assalamu3alaikum wa rehmatullahi wa barakatahu,
I was talking to a Salafi guy about the Mawlid Un Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wasallam & he said that there is a ijmah of Scholars on 12th of Rabi ul Aw’wal to be the day of Prophet Sallallahu alaihi wasallam’s passing away from this world. There is no Ijmah on the birth date of Prophet Sallallahu alaihi wasallam & there is a contradiction between Scholars about the birth date. By this he said we cannot celebrate Mawlid on that date.
What should be the answer to this guy??
JazakALLAh khairan

Answer:

`Alaykum as-Salam,

It is true that there are months other than Rabi` al-Awwal reported for the month of the blessed Prophetic Birth such as Safar, Rajab, Ramadan, and Rabi` al-Thani, cf. Ibn Rajab, “Lata’if” (p. 184) and al-Haytami, “al-Minah al-Makkiyya” (1:181); also, dates other than the 12th of Rabi` al-Awwal, such as the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 8th, 9th, 10th, 17th, or 18th of that month. Nevertheless, the massive majority of the scholars (al-jumhur) have settled on Rabi` al-Awwal, and specifically on the 12th of Rabi` al-Awwal as the most famously established (mash-hur) date according to Ibn Rajab in “Lata’if al-Ma`arif“, the hadith master al-Salihi in his encyclopedia of all Siras, “Subul al-Huda wa al-Rashad fi Sirat Khayr al-`Ibad“, our teacher Dr. Nur al-Din `Itr in his Mawlid book, “al-Nafahat al `Itriyya fi Sirat Khayr al-Bariyya“, Dr. Muhammad Abu Shuhba in his 1,400-page “al-Sira al-Nabawiyya”, Dr. Sa`id Ramadan al-Buti in his “Fiqh al-Sira al-Nabawiyya”, and many others past and present scholars.

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (Allah sanctify his secret and grant him long life) once said in Damascus: “Once the news of something has spread far and wide, it is a fact stronger than facts” (idha shaa`a al-khabar huwa aqwa min al-waqi`). The date of 12 Rabi` al-Awwal for the Prophetic Mawlid has been the most famous date (al-mash-hur) accepted by scholars and non-scholars in this Ummah for centuries and has become stronger than fact; people remember their Prophet all year round and it peaks on that date and alhamdulillah in any case. If some people wish to contest it they are free, as it will not change anything. More importantly it is somewhat pedantic and a false type of corrective emphasis, because any date is good for the celebration itself, and to settle on one specific date as the historical basis does not invalidate the correctness of the celebration, as no one is claiming a law-enforced or legislated status (e.g. sunnah or mustahab or wajib) for that date. And Allah knows best.

Dream:

As Salamu Alaykum wr wb
Beloved Mawlana Sh Hisham, Hajjah Nazihe and eShakyh Staff
A few days ago, I dreamt of myself sitting on the floor next to Hajjah Nazihe, and she put her hand on my head, and said a blessing. Mawlana Sh Hisham was sitting opposite us, looking at us. There was also someone else sitting near us, I hugged that person. Then I looked at Mawlana, but did not go up to him, and then went downstairs. Then I woke up.
May Allah(swt) Bless our Shuyukh and their families, including all our Naqshi family Endlessly! Ameen!!!
Much much Love!!!

Interpretation:

a`udhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem
Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem

Alhamdulillah, Hajjah Nazihe’s prayer for you is full of baraka and spiritual enlightenment.  She is a shining beacon of light fully authorized and supported by Mawlana Shaykh Nazim.  Mawlana Shaykh Hisham appearing in the dream also is directing you to that door of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim.  Keep their love in your heart in keeping with the Quranic verse:

{That is (the Bounty) whereof Allah gives Glad Tidings to His Servants who believe and do righteous deeds. Say: “No reward do I ask of you for this except the love of those near of kin.” And if anyone earns any good, We shall give him an increase of good in respect thereof: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Ready to appreciate (service).} Surat ash-Shura 42:23
