Conditions for Intention in Ibadah

Question:

Assalamualaikum Mawlana Shaykh Hisham and all eshaykh staff, May ALLAH swt bless all of you for your guidance.

What are the conditions for a valid intention in any act of ibadah? (mainly wudu’, prayers and ghusl) Is it sufficient to just think in my mind without voicing out loud my intention? Must I say the words in my mind? Must the intention be in Arabic?

Which is correct? “I intend to pray” or “I intend to pray for ALLAH swt”? I often feel like I have not made proper intention, then I stop and repeat the act again. Please help me with keeping focus in ibadah. Please clarify this for me and thank you for help.

Answer:
Wa`alaikumussalam Wr Wb

Any act of worship requires (Niyyah) intention “for Allah” (lillaahi ta`ala). Niyyah must be made in the heart at the moment you begin the act. You may say it with your tongue in any language to reinforce your conscience. Don’t delay once you’ve made your intention and ignore all doubts.

Request for hazrat dawood dua

Question:

salaam,

I am in love with a guy since 6 years now. We both want to get married but there are lots of problems and now the guy is not talking to me. He loves me but his parents want him to marry some girl from family and he’s trying to be strong and forget me. Please allow me to recite the dua of Hazrat Dawood alay salaam which is:

allahumma layyin qalbi fulan ibne fulan kama layyintal hadida li syeddinna daud alay his salaam.

Please please help me and allow me I don’t want him to ignore me and forget me.

Prayer Request: family torn apart

as-salamu alaykum ya beloved Sayyidi,

I am in desperate need of prayers from you. Since past year my family/home life has been completely destroyed. My husband & I are living seperately due to circumstances and I’m expecting our second child. My daughter misses home and her dad, we are trying for my husband’s job in another country or in the city that I am but until now nothng is happening. Baby is due in June and the situation for me is getting worse in the place that I live in now. There are many distractions for my husband to create further gap between us where he lives/works. We cannot live there.

Pls advise and pray ya Sayyidi

Prayer Request: Shaykh Hisham’s blessings needed for marriage

Asalam ulakum,

I am divorced and my family have been approached about an amazing Alhamdulilah proposal from a man whose both parents died when he was young. He lives alone. He has no sisters so has never been cared for by a woman. He is 4 years older than me and MashAllah a very sweet and humble man. He is financially secure and said I can stop working if I choose too.

My name is [private] and his name is [private].

Do we have your blessings and duas?

Would it be ok for me to stop working and be a housewife and study Islam?

Also, my father does not care for us and expects me to pay for everything. I do not have much money, as I help family out. Please make dua that I can easily get married with no financial problems.

Prayer Request: to stop studies or to continue?

Request:

Assalamou Alaikum dear Mawlana Sheikh Hisham. I am a young married woman and I am still in school. My husband has a job, but it would be hard to live off his salary alone if we had children. We are really wanting to have a first baby, but we feel like we should first visit Mawlana Sheikh Nazim. Please make du’a for us to visit our beloved Sheikh and then conceive a healthy baby. Also, I sometimes feel like stopping my studies to take care of my family, but my parents want me to continue studying. Should I continue studying so that one day I will be able to work from home and still have time to take care of my family? I am trying to take the best decisions to please Allah (s.w.t.) and for my family’s happiness.

Dream: Heaven’s door

Dream:

Assalamu alaykum,
I had a dream in which I was in my house and my older sister went to the kitchen took a plate of food and a drink and walked into another room disappearing. Somehow I knew she had gone to heaven and I tried to copy her. I got a plate of food and a drink and went into the room but my brother was preventing me from going to heaven and no matter how hard I tried to deceive him, I couldn’t get to the room without him realising that I was trying to get there. In the end I managed to get there but I only got halfway through because he was pulling me back but I was holding on and half of my body was through the door.

Interpretation:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

wa `alaykum salam,

It means that insha-Allah you will have determination to reach heavenly ways.

Dream: Photo of Mawlana Shaykh

Dream:

Assalamualaikum
Before few days I saw Moulana Sheik Nazim’s photo in green colour dress and Dr Tahirul Qadiri and a wali (I don’t know who he is) in a dream. What is the meaning of seeing Moulana Sheik’s photo in a dream?
Myother question is if a person wants to become the mureed of our Moulana but he did not meet him in person to take baya but he took baya through website, will his baya be accepted by Mulana Sheik?

Interpretation:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

The baya` through any means, whether the internet or a representative of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim, is accepted and reaches directly to Mawana Shaykh Nazim, spiritually connecting you to the Prophet (s) via the Naqshbandi Golden Chain.

The dream of seeing the photo of Mawlana Shaykh wearing green is a good sign of new life being regenerated in your heart.  The appearance of a scholar shows the importance of Shari`ah in following tariqah, and the unknown wali is the one assigned to you from among 124,000 awliya. W’Allahu a`lam.

Prayer Request: help me out

my marriage life is breaking and I need that you make duah for me that Allah increase luv in the heart of husband for me, sweeten our relationship and decreases all tje distance that the world has created for us. I luv my husband very much and we have been separated for two month due to misundertanding. our marriage is on the edge of a talaq. Only Allah can help us . So I beg you to please pray for me. I want to reconcile with my husband and want Allah to find a way out for me. He who makes the Impossible to be possible

Prayer Request: Broke my arm and moving to Johor

Assalamualaikum Maulana Sheikh Hisham,

May Allah bless you with long life, healthy and wealthy.
Sayyidi, i was in an accident on 28th feb and my left upper arm was broken into 5 pieces. Alhamdulillah with your barakah i am recovering well.

Also because i am on long medical leave, i feel my position in my work may be unstable, therefore we need to rent out our home in Singapore and live in Johor with our parents (not too far away). This is to keep up with the housing mortgage and bills should anything happen with my job.

We are asking your Prayers and blessings for this purpose.And also your guidance, advice and firm hand hold.. that we dont stray away.

We love you and miss you very much in Singapore. and hope to meet you again soon.
