Husband does not take my responsibility

Question:

We are married more then 5 years, my husband he does not take any of my responsibility of any kind. He is taking responsibility of his brother, his family (3 kids and wife and his brother) his sister, they all married. But he is not doing any thing for me.

I saw a dream one day where I was crying in my dream and begging that lady’s not to take light from me. But they took the boll of light from my stomach. I can’t move my self just crying . The women and I was wearing white clothes. What does that dream mean?

Answer:

As salaamu alaikum, wa rahmatuLlahi t’ala wa barakatu!

Aoodhu biLlahi min ash-shaytani ‘r-rajeem, BismiLlahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem.
Wa salatu wa salaamu `ala Sayyidina Muhammad, wa `ala alihi wa sahbihi ajma`een.

I’m answering you as I would answer myself, inshaAllah.

First the dream: If a child is sick, and the parents have to take him or her to the doctor, what will that child do? He will cry,  she will cry, “no, no, no!” But the parents know that even though their child doesn’t like it, the doctor’s treatment is necessary. And the doctors also are experienced, and do their job regardless of the child’s cries. Like that, we have spiritual ailments that sometimes require a heavenly treatment. Our egos are like children, and will cry and protest, but the Lord has angels who do their jobs and never flinch. Perhaps a difficulty was taken from you through that dream, though, like a bad habit, you didn’t want to let go of it. Say, “Alhamdulillah!”

As for your second point, about your husband: Maulana Shaykh used to advise like this: “O husbands! Take your rights from Allah, not from your wives!” And, “O wives! Take your rights from Allah, not from your husbands!” Understand? Say, “Alhamdulillah,” even in difficulties, and Allah will turn difficulties into blessings. Say, “ShukruliLlah,” Allah will keep favors and blessings from being lost. Say, “AstagfiruLlah,” and Allah will take us out of problems that might be our own fault.

This is my advice to you, and my advice to myself. May Allah forgive us and open our ways to heavens! Shukran wa salaam.

Dream: Tiny set of Masjid Aqsa

Question:

Family and I were climbing up on a mountain with tour guide. Mom said she had to sit. We went without her, the rest of us and I climbed to top. I understood it was Masjid al-Aqsa. I go pray 2 rakaat and masjid started rocking. I say “Muhammed sallalahalysallam and rocking stops.

Answer:

Mountain is favorite spot of Awliya and means Jabal Qaf. Mom resting means she is always sacrificing herself, so help her always. Aqsa indicates Mahdi and guide is Mawlana. An excellent dream.

Broken Heart

Prayer Request:

Salaam Shaykh, I wear hijaab, pray salah 5* for years. I never dated. I fell in love with a nonMuslim at first sight. I got scared, pushed him away, lost contact. It’s been over a year. My heart hurts. I cry everyday. I want to marry him. Is it possible?

Answer:

Alaykum salam
Love begins after nikah. It is possible if he says shahada. But let your heart be filled with love for Allah and His Prophet as other loves can never fulfill you. Ask for the best in this world and the next.

Dream interpretation from 12/9/2014

Question:

Dear Staff,
I submitted a dream back in 12 Dec 2014, I think it might have got lost; can you interpret it? In the dream I was following Prophet Muhammad (s) on a road/street. He picked up a very young girl and kissed her on the lips.

Answer:

Dream points to love of Prophet (saws) for his daughter Fatima. Stay with and learn from a guide from Ahlul Bayt, the Prophetic family and make much salawat. An excellent dream reassuring you of your state of iman in this life and the next in sha Allah.

Trance, to what extent can one focus? or what is wrong and what is okay?

Question:

I’ve read hypnotherapy or something is shirk or something on a site I don’t trust. But ever since, I’ve never allowed myself to close my eyes and day dream, nor focus in salat, nor use any internal capabilities. I’ve been unable to study.. because of it.

Answer:

Audhubillahimimashaytanirajeem
Bismillahirahmanirahim

Allah (swt) mentions qalb (heart), sirr (secret), khafa (hidden), dhat (Essence) and many other references to the deep consciousness and dimensions of humankind. Our holy Prophet (saws) was the most contemplative and meditative of men. In salat you must focus your eyes on the point of Sajdah. But to meditate, contemplate and purify your inner self is essential to succeed in the path of life. Dhikr and meditation can lead to states through which you can experience healing and release of negativity in the self. The study of tasawwuf or tazkiyyatul nafs under an expert teacher will open further understanding.

fallin for client

Prayer Request:

Assalamualaikum….
I knew some man since about one month, he’s one of my clients, our relationship are quite formal but lately I start to feel something for him, I don’t know nothing about him but I can feel he’s a good man, I wish he can be my husband…

Answer:

Audhbillahiminashaytanirajeem
Bismillahirahmanirahim

Wa alaikum salaam,

It is unclear what you mean by ‘client’. Like a customer in a store. If the man is an upright Muslim or willing to be Muslim and there are no ethical conflicts with him being a ‘client’, proceed according to rulings of Shariah. There are many unknowns here so I suggest consulting a shaykh in person for further help.

Wallahu Alam.

istikhara to move to [private]

Question:

I did istikhara to move me and family to [private], saw I was in a house. Some people came.. I was with someone. When we saw who it was, there was at least 5 caucasian men, one had a gun and they had come to kill me and my friend resident in [private]. Told me to move aside.

Answer:

Audhubillahiminashaytanirajeem
Bismillahirahmanirahim

As salaam alaikum,

This dream carries a negative tone so use caution. If you are unsure, continue to pray istikhara until your heart and/or dreams are firm in a direction that certainty builds.
