Khalwati Bakri order

Question:

I would appreciate it if the noble Shaykh Gibril Haddad HafizahuLlahu Ta`ala could give us some information about the Khalwati Bakri branch of Shaykh Mustafa Kamaluddin al Bakri q.s.

Answer:

The most prominent historian of that distinguished order to my knowledge is Shaykh Ismail Haqqi the commentator of Mathnawi and author of the Sufi tafsir, Ruh al Bayan in his book, Tamam al Fayd which was recently published in Beirut if I recall and has received studies in Turkey.

Qira’at Hanafi

Question:

Assalamualaikum
I have a couple of questions about qira’at in hanafi madhab.
1) In Jama’ah sirri salaat, how do we recite fateha and other surahs? Do we have to recite with low voice or moving the lips is enough?
2) Same question for nafl prayer.

Answer:

Wa `akaykum salam,

1. In both jahri as well as sirri congregational salah – according to Hanafi madhab – it is wajib for the follower (Muqtadii) to remain silent.
2. When praying individually – sunnah, witr, nafilah – one’s reciting is NOT to be heard, only lips are to move, no sound should issue.

Istikhara to marry a man as second wife

Question:

This man is travelling back to me tomorrow, 1 month earlier than his pre-booked return ticket to tie the knot with me and I really need to get an interpretation of the dream if you can help me at all please. It will be very much appreciated!!

I did an istakhara the other day to get married to a man as a second wife and got a dream the same night.

He is my age but in the dream he looked old and his face had rashes and his hair was grey/white getting bald and he was fat, total opposite of what he really looks like. And I was as I am. In the dream his appearance didn’t bother me. He was wearing a yellow tshirt with a red question mark and I was wearing black. My younger cousin brother that lives in UK was there too wearing white but didn’t get involved at all. Then the guy I want to marry said, “Oh I need to do my istakhara too, let me tell the guy I’m not in love with my first wife anymore.” I replied saying, “Well it seems like you just liked her for her beauty and look at you now.” Then me, him and my cousin drove somewhere and I woke up.

I don’t have a negative or a positive feeling yet. And I woke from the dream at around 7am.

Jazakhallah Khair, Masalam

Answer:

While he has the means to support two wives as indicated by his chubbiness, the man himself is a “question mark” as the dream showed, and the red, yellow and black colors indicated, and he will be conflicted by his first wife and yourself, and Allah knows best.

Ya Shaykh, Please guide & help me

Question:

Aslam-o-Alaikum, Ya Shaykh,

Allah Tallah may give you more peace, emaan and happiness. (Insha Alllah Tallah).

I would be very very grateful to you please interpretation of my two dreams which relates to our beloved Hazrat Muhammad (S.A.W). Please Ya shaykh, I always respect you a lot, you are our guide and teacher (Masha Allah). If you mind it anything, Please forgive me.

I see a dream that I see a full lighted beautiful moon on the top of our home and suddenly the name of Muhammad was written on it with white color and the lightness spreads over the sky and first 3 or 4 ayat of Surah Yaseen were written on sky with white light but I read only Yaseen, Wal-Quaran ul Hakeem and then I wake up.

Within ten days of this I saw dream in Fajar time Hazrat Muhammad is in house near to us. I go there and He is not in ground floor he is taking rest in first floor. Then I see him , he (SAW) is standing in stairs. He is in young age (22 or 23 years) and he wears Arabic dress and green umama (Cap). and only I am seeing him and he comes down to me and I hold his hand in last two stairs and he jumps to me and I hugs him (chest to chest). I request him with hugging and with full of tears to please promise me to take me in heaven with you, he replies ok I promise, I said three time and he replies ok I promise. And then I left him from my chest (hug). Please interpretate.

Ya shaykh, Ya Hazrat, please help me and this will be your kind greatness to tell the interpretation.

Jazak Allah Kahir, I will remember you in my prayers. Insha Allah Tallah.

Answer:

Wa `alaykum salam,

This is a blessed dream, for anyone who sees the Holy Prophet (s) in a dream has in fact seen him in reality. And Mawlana Shaykh Hisham has explained that seeing the Prophet (s) in the dream means relief from seven great trials in dunya and more importantly, seven great trials in Akhira.

The meaning of the dream is literal and true. You have been promised by Prophet (s) to be with him in Paradise, and requesting and being answered by Them three times means first for you yourself and your family, then the believers, then all Ummat an-Nabi (s), the sinners and righteous altogether, Insha-Allah, and Allah knows best.
