Cigarettes and Money

Question:

My brother is unemployed and does not have money for himself and so I frequently put money in his account. He sometimes buys cigarettes with this and I don’t like him buying that with my money. You can blame me for being possessive about my money but I don’t like it being used this way.

What should I do because he is very aggressive and hegemonically ‘masculine’ and I don’t like to put myself in the line of fire.
What do you recommend?
Jazakallah Khair

Answer:

If your asking him to agree to the precondition that you are giving him money on condition he not use it for cigarettes will not work, then read Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Rahim at the time of earning that money and at the time of giving it to him. That purity will help keep him away from harmful consumption in sha Allah.

Prayer Request: 3 year old daughter having cancer

Request:

Asalam o Alaikum
I have a 3 year old daughter suffering from cancer. Her cancer was diagnosed 1.5 years ago but during her treatment her cancer has returned last month. Doctors say that there is very less hope, I have stopped her chemotheraphy. She is in very pain these days, please make special dua for her speedy recovery. Ameen
Her name is Adan Ali.

Response:

Alaykum Salam,
Mawlana Shaykh Hisham is praying for Adan Ali and your family. What she and you have endured receives the highest reward possible so keep your heart consoled and remember the stance of the Prophet (saws) when his son Ibrahim also suffered greatly at a tender age.

For shifa and cure, recite the verse from Surat Taha 20:105 with intention and concentration oftentimes:

وَيَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ الْجِبَالِ فَقُلْ يَنسِفُهَا رَبِّي نَسْفًا
wa-yas’alunaka `anil jibali fa-qul yansifuha rabbi nasfa.

Meaning: “They ask you of the mountains. Say: My Lord will break them
into scattered dust.”

House near graveyard

Question:

Assalam-o-Alaikum!
May Allah’s divine light, peace and love be with Shaykh Nazim, Shaykh Hisham and all AwliyAllah and their followers…
Ya sayyidi, my family is deciding to move in a house near graveyard… I am very scared about it as according to many spiritual personalities, evil jinns dwell in such places.. I know that reading Quran stop them from coming, but peace don’t come to my heart and I am scared and not satisfied but my family is determined to move to that house… Please ya sayyidi guide as there is no guidence for us except the holy books and holy saints… Do jinns really dwell in such places??? Should we move there or not??? My question is for Shaykh Hisham or Shaykh Gabriel…
Jazak-Allah Khairan

Answer:

Wa alaykum as-Salam,

Amin. In the Middle East it is so common for people to live near graveyards in old cities as space is limited. Whatever jinn presences are there respect enclosure and do not trespass their bounds, as proximity and distance do not matter for them but boundaries do. Nevertheless, Muslim graveyards are blessed places. The scary stories are from Jahiliyya or non-Muslim culture and they are completely irrelevant. We should be seeking refuge from the evil of our own human ego as it is more harmful than all the cemeteries of this earth put together.

Adab of Travel

Question:

Please tell me about adab of ziarah to Wali maqam:

– Adab when we will depart from home.
– Adab on the way
– Adab in the maqam

Jazakallah,
Wassalaamu’alaikum.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

1) Consult and make arrangements for your family before travel.
2) Make niyya.
3) Any day and time of day are permissible according to convenience, but best day of departure is Yawm al-Khamis (Thursday) and best time of day is the morning.
4) Give a sadaqa even small and say the dua of travel when leaving the house or at least Bismillah wa tawakkaltu `ala Allah wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah.
5) On the way keep your purpose in mind. If such purpose is to please Allah, then you are already in `ibada from the time you set foot out of your house.
6) On the way make sure your party are comfortable and do not put undue stress on them such as comfort and food-wise. Hadith: “It is not pious to do voluntary fasting when travelling.”
7) Keep all salat and obligations and keep custody of your eyes and speech.
8) In the maqam, approach with respect just as you would do in front of a live person, and begin by giving salam to the Prophet (s), his family, his Companions, all Anbiya, all Awliya, and then the person in the maqam (Sahib al-Maqam).
9) Recite Fatiha, Surat Yasin or part of it, Qul Huwa Allahu Ahad from 3 to 11 times, the Mu`awwidhat, La ilaha illallah (x10) Muhammadun Rasulullah, then Salawat (x10). Then make dua, then Du`a of Ihda’ to the Prophet (s) and Mashayikh including
Sahib al-Maqam and Fatiha. Give salam and leave.

What can i do?

Question:

I would like to get your nasiha. I am a Muslim and 1_ , I’m poor. I live with my parents, I live in a non-Muslim country and a minority of Muslims, I do my five prayers regularly, my wird, wazifa and everything, but lately I’ve been desperate, because I’m not getting any jobs for more than 10,000 do 10,000 salawat or other dhikrs, can not work and none of them allows me to fulfill my obligations of religion, such as making five prayers, fasting Ramadan. Also nobody understands because people are ignorant and think only about the profit and not the spirit, being actually walking very difficult for me since I live with my parents and I’m almost 3_ years and have to hear harsh words from my parents as while everyone grows financially, coming year and will continue in the year and I sameness ever. Please make du’a for me.

Answer:

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham is praying for you. Have no doubt that Allah will repay you in full. Keep steadfast and you will not be disappointed. You can pray all salawat at home at the beginning and end of the day if there is duress outside. Your salawat and worship count all the more if they do not receive approval from creatures. Give thanks to Allah and He will increase you in every good.

Baya Question II

Question:

As-Salaam alaykum,

I ask a question about Baya a few days ago and received a quick response. I am very grateful for your help and information. I wish to travel to Michigan to take Baya in person. I am new to the Deen and studying. Would it be possible to get contact information of a mentor once I have taken Baya? I know eShaykh, however, I think a personal connection would be helpful.
Thank you again!

Warm Sallams,

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

The personal physical connection with the Shaykh is important but not required. That is because their spiritual “operation” on you takes place regardless of where you are.

You may check Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani’s schedule on sufilive.com to determine when he is going to be visiting your area and make your plans based on that.

In the meantime, build up your connection to the Shaykh and the Tariqah by following him online at sufilive.com and by attending, if available, the Dhikr in your local area.

Regards

Prayer Request: Iraq Terror Situation D`ash

Request:

asalamu ‘alaikum.
I would like to request sayydi to pray for the situation in Iraq. Those people are killing sunnis, shias, and christians. They ‘re shedding blood and spreading terror every where. They destroy mosques, churcches and holy maqams of holy servants of God and Prophets. They don’t respect no one and they don’t fear Allah.
I would like to request that people in Iraq be safe from them, and Allah protect families and innocent people, and that the earth swallows those criminals and Allah protect me from misguidance, and He makes me to follow Awliya and be of the junuduAllah of Imam Mahdi.
Amin. Please i request your Fatiha, Allah ta’ala bless you.

Response:

wa `alaykum salam.

Awliyaullah are praying non-stop for the end of bloodshed and the onset of peace with justice for all. And some awliyaullah are working for this actively at the dunya level, in particular Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani, who has been the strongest voice of opposition to the Wahabi “blood cult” without exception long before it was fashionable to be so.

Marriage

Question:

Salaam, I am 4_ yrs old and met someone who seemed very interested in me. He is in the USA and has some problems with his stay. Everything seemed to be going well until recently he sent a message saying I am a liar and lied about everything when in fact I have not and Allah is my witness. He has a Mexican so called sister who has said some bad things about me. I only found out when I spoke to his sister in Pakistan who said she said she did not like me or trust me. I started planning my life, made my wedding dress and my parents also liked him and started planning. I cannot consider another man as he was who I cared for and loved. Please pray for me. I am not exactly young and have always been rejected.

Answer:

Walaikumas Salam Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuhu

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem,
Insha Allah Mawlana is praying for you. May Allah make it easy on you and grant you a suitable husband. Recite Darood Shareef 100x per day.

Dream: marriage

Dream:

My mom did istikhara for a guy and saw me and him married and in the haram, means Kaaba with mom, but then hurdles came and another girls did magic on him and he left me and got attached to her. Then my friend saw me in the upper floor and she came upstairs to meet me. She said it means your wish will be fulfilled. Please interpret my dreams, that dream meant he will get married to me?

Interpretation:

Salamualaikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatuhu

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem,
Insha Allah it indicates despite some difficulties there is high probability that you will be married to that person, but we cannot say for sure as only Allah alone knows the future with 100% accuracy. And whoever Allah reveals regarding future, that person knows as much as Allah reveals, not more.
