It is an excellent intention. Your mosque imam can be her wali. You can give her a mahr that reflects her normal expectations and shows the earnestness of your intention.

Advice on marriage issue

Question:

Assalamualaikum,

I am in a really difficult situation. My mother in law kicked out of the house due to she wants me to give my parents house to her son.We always argue because he wants my money. He always listen to his mum. I have to provide for my self although he has a good job. Anyways it’s been 3 weeks I’ve been separated from my husband. Since his mum kicked me out of the house he did not contact me. His mum hid my wedding gold and wont give because she won’t give it.I called the police, he did not pay my full mahr. She always interferes in our marriage. In the past she tried to beat me up. I have been tortured mentally.

I just want my husband to understand his mistakes and come back to me. I just don’t wish to break this marriage.

Please advice on what to do.

Answer:

`Alaykum Salam,

Love means patience and forgiveness which win the day when a marriage faces crises. Do not fight for your rights but ask Allah to remove obstacles and mend bridges between you and your husband. Recite ya Wadud, ya Haleem x100 daily.

Where to start

Question:

As salaam alaikum rahmatullah.

Bismillah ir-Rahman nir-Rahim.

I declared my belief in Allah, Ta’ala, almost 19 years ago. Since then I have performed umrah, studied under Hanbali ulema and received ijaza, was active representing the local community in the media, and have been a visible member within our local Muslim community.

I fear Allah, Ta’ala, and do not want to cause fitna – but after a significant amount of dua’a with istikharah I have decided to make bayah to our Shaykh.

I turn here, to this e-source, for clarification:

1) Is my madhab now Hanafi? Previously I followed Hanbali fiqh?
2) Do I follow the Awrad of a Mureed or a Mubtadi?
3) How do I engage my local community as a result of this significant personal change?

Ma’as salaama,

Answer:

Assalamu `alaykum brother,

Firstly, congratulations of your baya` asking Allah to bless you and our Shaykhs.

1. You can keep your Hanbali madhab as that is what you studied and most familiar with, you do not have to change madhab

2. Since you recently started with the tariqat it is best to start with the beginner (mubtadi`) awrad and gradually work your way up with more awrad as you progress. It is more important to be consistent with the practices than to do more.

3. You can of course share with the people in your community about the tariqat and our Shaykhs but we advise never to get involved in confrontation. It is not the adab of our way to argue. If people are interested to listen then you can explain. Otherwise, it is better to keep quiet. Inshaa Allah they will notice a change in you and maybe they will be attracted to you in that way.

May Allah reward you and keep us on the true path.

Dream: Sayyida Fatimah al Zahra

Dream:

As salamu alaykum,

In my dream I visited a stone building, gray in colour, not far from my home. A veiled person told me that this was the tomb of bint Nabi – on one of the walls the name of Fatimah al Zahra was inscribed. Underneath was a green carpet and I gave my salam and dua. I am concerned because her tomb was in a place it actually isn’t (in Hijaz). What does this mean?

Jazak Allah khayr
Sayyida Sana

Interpretation:

Wa alaikum as-Salam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem

Masha Allah, Good news for you. This means you are encouraged to send salam and salawat on Her blessed soul along with the Holy Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihissalam) and you need to mention the full name Sayyida Fatimah Al Zahra (radiallahuta-ala-anha) as you have seen it inscribed. When you pray or recite Holy Quran or Salawatun Nabi (s) or Dhikrullah send the rewards on Her blessed soul and on Her blessed children and Sayyiduna Ali (radiallahuta-ala-anhu). This will be insha-Allah a great opening for you.

More detail: In a dream gray color means a high rank of authority. It means Sayyeda Fatima bint-e-Nabi (sallal lahu alaihis salam) has an extreme high rank in the divine presence and du`a is accepted through Her wasila. The green color indicates awaken or alive. This means she is not dead like we think of normal humans. She is very much alive in her grave and she performs her prayers even in her grave indicated by the green carpet. You gave salam means She has accepted your salam. The tomb not being where it is supposed to be means she is not bounded by the four walls of the tomb. Her spiritual presence can come to your aid even if you are at your home.

Last seven years it is not happening every time there always come some problem and I am so disturbed because of this . Please pray for my early marriage. Last night I see in my dream that my gold ring has been broken into pieces sir please tell me what it means.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salaam wa rahmatullah, peace of Allah be upon you and His Mercy and Blessings!

Congratulations on your initiation (baya`) which Mawlana Shaykh Nazim is accepting insha-Allah. We recommend you keep connection with Mawlana Shaykh Nazim and his deputy Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani via the websites sufilive.comhaqqanisoul.com and naqshbandi.org.

It is not necessary to see any dreams of the shuyukh to confirm your baya`. Rather most important is to begin your wird/awrad and stick to them without fail.

If you are able to visit the Shaykh this is also recommended, but you must inform us before traveling. We have daily transcription of the Shaykhs’ talks in 10 languages at sufilive.com.

Please begin to practice daily the awrad for the beginners, at the Naqshbandi website.

If you have questions that need addressing, post them at eshaykh.com.
You may seek to attend congregational Dhikr at the nearest location to you (lookup at sufilive.com/centers).

Mawlana Shaykh Nazim and Mawlana Shaykh Hisham have a number of books in English language which you may obtain from isn1.net.

As for you second question, please follow the advice given in the Post “To Find a Good Husband“.
