Dream: In Paradise with a man

Dream:

Assalamu alaykum dear Shaykh,

Many years ago, I saw myself wearing a white kaftan dress with 2 dark blue stripes, standing in front of a lofty beautiful mansion in Paradise with a man, (who I know). We were behind a long table with a white cup and saucer on it. The man, in real life is a Dr, but is young in the dream and we seem to be a couple. There are many trees around with Autumnal leaves on them. We are happy together.

Thank you kindly.

Interpretation:

Alaykum salam,

You will be granted union, purity, youth, beauty, palaces, banquets and gardens of Paradise in sha Allah.

Dream: Istekhara dream interpretation request

Dream:

Salam Alaikum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuhu,

I had prayed istekhara about a potential marriage proposal from a mureed. Did not see anything the first half of the night but after qiyam-ul layl and Fajr I dreamt that my grandfather had passed away (in reality he passed away few years ago) and upon hearing the news I was distraught and in my state of sorrow the house filled with different kinds of animals and they were all dying out of starvation or eating each other. Some would try to attack me and I would feed one to the other so they don’t attack me. I did see a man standing in another room who seemed to be interested in me, but he did not come into my room and I was wondering why he was not helping. I don’t know if this is the same man I prayed istekhara about.

Interpretation:

Alaykum Salam,

Your dream is very beneficial for all of us in this Tariqa. Grandfather represents Mawlana and seeing him means you are under his dua and blessing no matter what in sha Allah. Animals represent those of us murids — bickering, backbiting, taking sides and destroying rather than building up our souls, inside his very house — whose connection is built on nafs, and so it is bound to be starved to death. You and the man in the other room represent the sincere insider and outsider who want to benefit from muridship but end up just trying to navigate fitna and avoid sin. And Allah knows best. May Allah grant you and us wisdom and success here and hereafter.

Prayer Request: Daughter not well

Request:

Assalamu alai kum,

Sheikh, I have two daughters one is 4 years old and 2nd one is of 5 months recently my younger daughter was very ill and was hospitalized for 6 days. She suffered convulsions owing to the high fever. Doctors prescribed few tests which came normal, Alhamdulilah, but prescribed epileptic medicine citing reasons that it is quite uncommon to have seizures below six months of age. She needs to undergo EEG to rule out any problem. It is my humble request to kindly pray for my daughter and also suggest some wazaif or charity which I may do in her behalf. Also I am planning to have a third kid inshaAllah and request you to kindly supplicate to Allah SWT for granting me a son as my wife already has two C-Section deliveries and this will be her last chance.

May God Bless U and confer his highest spiritual stations on you (ameen).

Response:

Alaykum Salam,

Amin and you also. Mawlana is praying for you and your daughters and family. Give sadaqa to your intention, fast when you can and trust in Allah.

Dream: White chickens

Dream:

Salam,

Respected shaykhs may Allah swt reward you for your humble effort. I recently bought a house, Ahumdulillah. I had a dream about this house. The dream was me my dad and the house owner were in the back of the house were there is a small wooden shed.

The house owner shows us the inside of the shed and I can see a lot of white frail chickens sitting on the 3 shelves. There must have been about 15 chickens approx.

Jazakallah for your time

Please pray for me

Salam.

Interpretation:

Alaykum salam,

They represent the “egg” (bayda) of your Islam in the sense of its purity and potential, and is an excellent sign of what your new house will help you achieve of spiritual growth in sha Allah. Slaughter a goat or sheep and give away one third as sadaqa to the poor.

Dream: Shaykh Hisham on my father

Dream:

Assalamualaykum dear eShaykh,

I dreamt Shaykh Hisham coming to my house and sitting down whereupon I told the full name of my father (aged 60) and Shaykh immediately recited Surah Fatiha and then said to the effect that my father is going to face some communication problems where he will not know the light of day from the black of night but that we should be patient with him.

A little while later a close confidant and advisor to my father who is also from the Ahlul Bayt, visited me and said that my father is going to lose the power of sight but one should not ever underestimate the power of Subhanallahi wa Bi Hamdhi Subhanallahil Aleem Asthagufirulla.

I would appreciate an interpretation of this.

Wassalaam.

Interpretation:

Alaykum Salam,

It is all self-explanatory and the only thing to add is that the end will be good in sha Allah, because of the huge blessings of Qur’an, tasbih, Ahlul Bayt and Awliya.

Wishing Merry Christmas

Question:

Assalamu alaikum Syekh Gibril,

May Allah Bless your good works and grant you good health.

I have a question to ask regarding the fatwa that was given in Indonesia. Some scholars there forbid Muslims to wish their Christians neighbours and friends ‘ Merry Christmas’.

According to them, it is against our aqidah as Christmas is actually a celebration that originated from the Romans who were pagans.

I would like to know your thoughts on this matter if it is permissible/not permissible to wish them as such.

Syukran. May Allah Bless you.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

“There is no legal impediment to participating in celebrating the birth of ‘Isa (alayhis salam).” Dr Ali Gomaa.

As for the 1981 and 2012 Indonesian fatwas that “for Muslims to wish a happy Christmas is akin to confirming the misguided teachings of Christianity”: such a claim is evidently incorrect.

In fact, Christmas wishes are merely a verbal courtesy practised at the social and local politics level, and contains little religious meaning even for Christians let alone Muslims, who are strict Monotheists.

Additionally, a nominal form of respect or customary acknowledgment of mutual festivals in mixed-religion countries goes a long way to strengthen peace and healthy inter-community relations. Sunni Muftis of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Iraq, Egypt and other countries for centuries have even visited churches on such occasions, for the sake of peace and to quell national division and fitna.

Earning Halal/Haram.

Question:

How can one keep ones self safe from haram earnings of the people one is dependent on? Like children are dependent on parents. Is there any mistake that will render illegitimate upon you even the halal earnings of the parents?

Answer:

A`udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem
Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem

If your parents claim that they earn Halal money then you are to take their words and accept it as Halal.

Keep in mind that the concept of “disowning” a child does not exist in Islam. You are your parents’ child whether they agree with you or not and their support to you will always be legitimate.

Meat in Arab Countries

Question:

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmathullahi Wabarakathuhu,

Dear Shaykh,

I live in Dubai, UAE. The meat available in almost all the supermarkets over here are imported from various countries and mainly from Brazil. Other countries are New Zealand, France, India and Pakistan.

Some of the packs contains Halal mark and some don’t. Even if they have just a Halal mark are we to consider it Halal?

What is the ruling about this? Please explain.

Answer:

A`udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem
Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem

Each emirate has its own procedure to verify halal compliance but as of today there are no general standards and regulations. A new system will be put in place soon to make sure that halal mark means halal.

Death trough Epilepsy – Afterlife?

Question:

Asalaam aleikum,

My cousin from Hongkong died in his mid-twenties from consequences of epilepsy. He suffocated on his vomit in a state of unconsciousness with no-one near to help him. He suffered most of his lifetime from this sickness. He was not Muslim by Shahada, but half a year before he died he visited me for a week and got catch a glimpse of Islam and he really liked me. Is there hope for him regarding a peaceful afterlife?

Thank you for your efforts and your answers.

Best regards

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

Allah planted that attraction to Islam in your cousin’s heart and facilitated it through his visit to you. Perhaps He used all this to bring him to belief before death, and He used his suffering to cleanse him and raise him. It is up to Him alone. And it is up to us to thank Him for guiding us and ask for His enduring protection.
