Dream: Being chased and bitten by a lamb

Dream:

Assalam o alaykum,

I used to get dreams of being chased and sometimes bitten by a dog. Now its a lamb that chases me and sometimes bites too. Its been there for past 5 months now with repetition on every 15-20 days. I can see the horns and teeth very clearly. Please make dua for me. I apologize for any disrespect.

Also request Maulana to pray for me as I have recently been diagnosed by vitiligo.

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm

Wa alaikum salam,

This dream can mean that you may have a friend or close family member who is annoying and you are just tolerating them.

And Allah (swt) knows best.

Sins

Question:

Salam to you,

May you always be in the blessings of Allah and in the constant company of our beloved Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.

I am 21 this year and I thank Allah for giving me the opportunity to take bayyah with Mawlana Shaykh Kabbani a few months back. However, I’ve only got serious in istiqamah in my awrad recently i.e. since Syawal. My concern is, despite doing my awrad I am still prone to sins. (1) What does this mean? (2) What should I do? (3) Will the act of doing sins affect my awrad?

May Allah bless us with the best of HIS blessings.

Answer:

Wa`alaykumussalam,

No one is immune from sin. However your worship and prayer should be a shield for you from sin. If you are faced with a situation to fall into sin, remember your Shaykh and mention his name for spiritual support. Always be in the company of the pious.

Second dream, I saw that a lioness and her cubs where behaving with me as they are my pets like cats.

Family

Question:

Salaam,

1. My family is having some problems: My brother is 29 and he has just found a job but it’s temporary and it will end next week, also he keeps refusing marriage. Is there anything we can do/pray so he finds a stable job and gets married soon?

2. My Grandma (dad’s mum) lives with us yet she argues about the pettiest things and my dad has health-heart problems himself. He is very stressed out. Is there anything we can pray so she finds peace?

3. I have applied for a job and university, can you do dua for me so I am accepted and is there anything I can pray?

I was given permission to read Hizbul Bahr, x360, which I have finished and give sadqaah.

Thank you, Salaam

Answer:

Wa`alaykumussalam,

1. Recite Yaa Razzaaq Yaa Fattaah 100x – 300x for him with the intention to find a stable job get married. If your family can help him find either or both, that would be good.

2. Recite Yaa Haleem 100x daily for strength and patience. Be gentle with the elders and keep showing love and respect.

3. Keep on with your daily dhikr, and you may continue the Hizb al-Bahr once daily.

Dream: Soul about to depart

Dream:

I had a dream where I was on bed and my soul was just about to leave my body. My body was shivering and I never felt such a feeling thus I started to recite the shahadah because I thought death has come. Whilst reciting the Shahadah up to ‘lā ʾilāha ʾillā l-Lāh’ I woke up and could still feel my body being a bit tired.

Raising a Pure Baby on Fitra

Question:

The Prophet (s) said, “every child is born on fitra, innocence, and their parents make them Jewish, Christian or Zoroastrian.” This hadith indicates parents are responsible for the purity of their child’s character as they grow. Can you tell me and my wife how we can keep our child in that same state of purity she has at birth?

Answer:

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani said, in his book Fifty Days: The Divine Disclosures During a Holy Sufi Seclusion:

The worst [effect] is on those who are raised by the bottle. You do not know who is filling these bottles or what kind of negative spiritual power is put into them. Second worst are those that are breastfed, because the breast-milk of the mother creates veils in the heart of the child which come from the egoistic characteristics of both the mother and the father. For forty days after birth, the child remains not veiled from the heavenly realm. If the mother and father never fight and never shout, then the child will grow up without any veils.

Elsewhere, Shaykh Hisham Kabbani explains:

To prevent the ananiyya, egoism, of the parents from passing to the suckling infant through the mother’s breast-milk, there is a process that can be done by the mother, but it is not easy. Every time she wishes to nurse her baby, she must first make a ghusl, (purificatory bathing), then pray two raka`ts of wudu, and then she nurses the baby. By this method the child will remain pure, and will be raised pure, avoiding contamination of the egoism of her parents.

If this  regiment is too hard for the mother, it is recommended that before every nursing, at least make a fresh wudu, pray two raka`ats and then proceed to nurse the baby. This should continue as long as the child is nursing.

Dream: Saw girlfriend

Dream:

I’m Muslim from [private] and girlfriend is Hispanic, and is Christian. Me and her had sex etc. and we both love each other. Recently  I repented and want to follow Islam. I saw in dream  my girl wearing a white sweatshirt and her a hand pointing to Martin Luther King Jr. Quaide azam and Kaaba. This sweatshirt I saw was at my work and also this is the place me and her met. For some reason the place was really compact. I barely had room to walk around. I have been a very negative person but have been nice. She is also nice but also is a negative person.

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm

It is a reflection of your inner struggle to follow the right path. It shows also that as long your relationship is not halal, it will prevent you from moving forward.

And Allah knows best.

Attending a Church Funeral

Question:

I am a young Scandinavian woman and I embraced Islam five years ago and none of my family members is a Muslim. One of my relatives died and I was wondering if it is permissible for me to attend the burial rituals which will be conducted in the church?

Answer:

There is no legal impediment to hold you back from attending your non Muslim friends and relatives’ funerals. Imam al-Nawawi said in his book (al-Majmu`) “it is not a disfavored act for a Muslim to attend the funeral of a non Muslim relative” and this was also stated by Imam al-Shafi`i.

Also attending the funeral of a relative even if he is a non Muslim strengthens the ties of kinship which is commanded by Islamic Shari`ah. It is also important to attend the relatives’ funerals as a token of refined manners, good relationship with others, loyalty and love. Similarly attending the funeral of your relative would increase respect and admiration for Islam in your family and would give a positive impression that Islam promotes coexistence and harmony.

Also there is no impediment to offer your condolences because it is part of good manners and high ethics as God says in the Quran:

{Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes – from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.} (al-Mumtahina, 60: 8)

and also said,

{and [recall] when We took the covenant from the Children of Israel, [enjoining upon them], “Do not worship except Allah; and to parents do good and to relatives, orphans, and the needy. And speak to people good [words] …} (al-Baqara, 2:83)

so condolences are part of speaking goodness to people.

We also advise the questioner to be kind and lenient with her family and relatives to become a role model of a good Muslim who engages in his/ her community as Islam does not like his followers to be isolated in their little cocoons. Islam was rather spread through refined manners and sharing people’s moments of joy and sadness along with offering them a supporting hand coated with empathy and mercy for them.

Wasting Water

Question:

Asalamu alaykum Sheikh Khasuusi dua inshaAllah,

I wanted to ask an important question. I have read in a book of Hazrath Shaykh Abdul Qadir Gilani radi ALLAH anh. They quote a hadith about wuzu. Add in it Fazail states: ‘Repetition of wuzu refreshes imaan. And many other benefits. And the more wuzu done the better.’ Now I do wuzu with every namaz and some times when it’s been a while I refresh my wuzu again.

My question is: I also read the Holy Quran says ‘verily ALLAH does not like those who waste.’ And I also read that wuzu water shouldn’t be over used. My question, isn’t this repetition of wuzu even though having wuzu come under this category?

JazakAllah

Answer:

Wa`alaykumussalam,

Renewing wudu‘ for every prayer is Sunnah and is not an issue. That verse you quoted does not apply to this, but to those who exceed their limits in their consumption due to their greed. Nevertheless, using more water than is actually needed when making wudu‘ is a form of wastage, and our Shuyukh have always taught us never to be wasteful.
