Can I make her agree to marry me?

Question:

I love a girl. She refuses to marry me because I am shorter and she leads a modern life which I don’t like. She believes “as she is beautiful she’ll get smart boys so why would marry me?” Her parents like her lifestyle. Mother wishes to marry her to rich guy. If she marries me, I’ll stop her bad deeds. I want to marry and change her so I can lead her to Jannat and we can be together there. No guy will want to lead her in such good way to heaven except me. I can’t move on without her. Parents won’t accept my marriage proposal because she’ll get married to a less imandar, rich guy. The only way they can accept me is if she convinces them that she wants to marry me. I’ll face troubles if I marry her but I can change her by Allah’s help.

Answer:

How do you know you are the who will change her and not vice versa? Have you considered that you simply might not be suited for each other?

As the Prophet (upon him blessings and peace) said, men marry women for four reasons: beauty, wealth, lineage and religion. His advice was: Make sure you marry the one with strong religion and you will be happy. That is the best advice by far.

Blue light in my head

Question:

I have been meditating, living consciously for 8 years, living a deeply spiritual life – I have had visions and some extraordinary experiences. However today  I lay in the bath closed my eyes and quitened my mind just prior to closing my eyes, I thought something along the lines of “That situation is really bad but I feel really happy.”

As soon as I closed my eyes everything became blue like a sky blue, it was as though I had not a single thought in my head.Only blue swirling around. I felt an amazing peace, like I was somewhere else – like my surroundings were not present – like I existed but not physically. The blue seems to be my head only, like the rest of me did not exist. I was wondering if this would be my aura or something related to kundalini. It was really beautiful and peaceful.

Answer:

Take bay’a online with Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (Allah bless his secret) and begin the spiritual exercises described at naqshbadi.org for the best and most truthful improvement.

Dream: Karina and tree under ‘Arsh

Dream:

Salam Alaykum Sheikh HISHAM,

Please I suffer a lot from my qarina in my dreams, I see her a lot!!!!
The last time I saw her in my dream I saw that I’m reading Surat Al-Zalzala on her, beside the qarina I feel a lot of fear in my house, even though I make “Tuhweet”, I mean I read Ayat al-Kursi wal-mu`awazatayn, and I put Surat al-Baqara alot in my house, I don’t know what to do beside all of that!!!

Another thing what is the meaning of a tree that is making sujud under the `arsh Al -Rahman in the dream?

May GOD bless Mawlana Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani, bless you Shaykh Hisham, your family, and all the staff working on this page.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Continue what you are reciting and in addition recite one hizb of Dala’il al-Khayrat every day or 100x Salawat.

Prayer Request: No midwife

Request:

Asalamu Alaiykum,

During the birth of my last child the midwives were really hostile to us (because we are Muslim) and gave me injections I didn’t want. Afterwards I thought I wouldn’t use them again if I had another child. I am pregnant again and despite past experience went to see the midwives a couple of months again. Having asked our religion she made a racist comment. I dont want another experience like last time and so haven’t been back. I have about 2-3 months left don’t have a midwife and am not sure what to do. I’m a bit afraid that my husband and I will have to give birth to the baby on our own. Please can you pray for us to have help and I would be grateful of any guidance. Thank you.

Response:

Wa Alaikum Salam,

We ask Mawlana to pray for you. Additionally, you should find a female obstetrician and share with her any wishes you have about certain medications.

Prayer Request: For success in marriage

Request:

Asallam Alikum wa rahmat ullah,

I pray you are in good health, Insha’Allah. Ya shaykh I’m a student at university and have met a good Muslim sister which I am considering for marriage. I have told my parents from the start and they are very happy about it. Her parents do not know yet but she is going to tell them soon. She constantly does istikhara for guidance and thus this has led her to tell her parents now. She is of Palestinian origin and I am of Pakistani origin. My family don’t mind as they only want a good Muslim although I don’t know how her parents will react. Please can you do dua for us that may Allah guide us for what is best and give baraqah should our marriage take place and increase our iman, insha’Allah.

Jazakallah khair.

Response:

Wa Alaikum Salam,

We ask Mawlana Shaykh Hisham to pray for your success.

Dream: Fire and Spider

Dream:

I dreamed I was lying on my bed and I noticed that the carpet was on fire. It began to spread very quickly and within a few seconds it had covered the whole floor, blocking my route to the door. As I lay wondering what to do I noticed a spider of about two inches across on my right forearm. I then raised my arm until it was above my head and put my hand flat against the wall, so that it could escape, which it did, running up my arm and off my hand, up the wall towards the ceiling, along with several other much smaller ones. I lay there hoping they could escape before they were burned to nothing.

Interpretation:

Your merciful character and the acts you do because of it will be your salvation from Allah’s Hellfire on Judgment Day, and Allah knows best.

A Mother’s request

Question:

Slm,

I am in my late thirties and a female. I have younger siblings and my mother has asked me to put off my getting married until the younger males in the family have married. She has said that the reason is she cannot look after her two up two down house. She has also done everything in her power to pollute and manipulate my family against me so I will carry out her request. Her argument also is that I am your mother Jannah is under my feet you have to do as I say. Where do I stand with her request? Do I not have the right to be married as I approach 40?

Answer:

Alaikumsalam,

It is part of iman to respect parents especially mothers. Never argue with them or displease them. We are not even allow to say ‘huh’ to them. We pray for them always and take care of them when they’re old. Your mother needs you most to take care of your younger siblings. Show your good deed toward them and they will not be against you. Keep your intention of marriage at the same time and Allah will bless you, in sha Allah.

Dream: Reconcile

Dream:

Salam alaykum Shaykh,

I am in need of advice, inshaAllah. Upon Shaykhs advice after my postive istikhara and husbands negative, I am still reciting Ya Wadud and reading istikhara and dua ul-Haajjah. My husband (ex) still not wanting to reconcile. My waiting period has just ended. Our baby who I am taking care of is only a few months old. How do I proceed from here? I’ve had 3 dreams, 1st was him coming to reconcile, 2nd was that we were to take a ship to an island, 3rd was me performing sa’yi with my parents.

Jazaakallaah.

Interpretation:

Alaykum Salam,

Don’t worry, continue your duas and take care of yourself and baby. With Allah’s support and help from your parents look forward and Allah will provide just as He gave life to our Mother Hajar and her baby when they felt deserted. Allah will send you your husband back or a new life in sha Allah.

Dream: Seeing oneself in Jannah

Dream:

My younger brother died suddenly of a heart attack in Ramadan. Post Friday’s Fajr prayer I got dream. I’m holding hand of a 7/8 yr boy & come across a white fence. On the other side are 10-12 fair boys aged 7/8/9 yr playing with balloons and gifts. Me and small boy have a serious face and I tell him “We are late. Everyone has reached”. We cross over the fence and I leave him with other boys. I walk in white sand, to my right are short palm trees bearing fruits. One has green fluorescent grapes. With my right hand I took a ripe chico fruit and held it close and didn’t look back in case someone might ask for it. I look ahead and there’s a white expanse. Brother was good Muslim (prayed, fasted). I feel I saw Jannah. Please interpret and why when I am alive I saw myself in Jannah?

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

Alhamdulillah, good tidings for you and your brother. Allah can show you whatever He likes when He likes. And Allah knows best.
