Prayer Request: A humble request for prayer

Request:

I started Dua Sayyadina Dawood (AS) a few days ago w/ the person’s name only since I don’t know his parent’s name. It worked, he spoke to me today. But he is in a big distress, going through depression because his family denied our proposal again & want him to marry another girl. But he either wants to marry me or stay single. I’m going through the same, think the same way. We both are in pain. I wanna marry him for the sake of Allah,my iman & morality. Please pray for us…everything gets better, that we could be together forever, and ouur families agree on our marriage. Please give me some wazifa we both could do to eliminate family/all kinds of obstacles & get married to each other soon.Thank you.

Missing

My brother has been missing for nearly two years now without a phone call, is there anything we can read to steer him to get in contact with us.

My mother and father who are always missing his presence as he is the oldest.Can you advise if he safe? Also a dua to get in touch.

`Alaykum salam,
Let them say: “O Allah as you returned Musa to his mother and Yusuf to
Ya’qub return our son to us”. Make istighfar and salawat daily x300-1000
and give sadaqa.

What can we think of during Salaat?

Question:

I have heard different opinions on thoughts during salaat. Is it true that the prophet advised us to think of death in order to be more humble during salaat?

I am confused because I thought you can have no other thoughts besides the Qur’an that you are reciting? Is it OK to think of other things such as the rewards of salaat, Allah swt, and other non-worldly things while praying? Or, must you be fully focused on the words that you are reciting.

Answer:

It is not thinking of death in your prayer, but to think of it through the meanings of the Qur’an that you recite in prayer. As long as it does not become a day-dream or distraction, it is fine. Wallahu A’lam.

Dream: Black vermillion

Dream:

I  dreamt that me and one of my friend (Hindu man) are hiding inside a bathroom, so then to impress his mom he feels my forehead with black vermillion (colored pigment)and then we go to his mom and the mom accepts me and she is happy.

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

This dream can mean that a secret relationship based on ego pleasure and tricks is at hand. The dhikr for this is to say “La ilaha illa Anta subhanaka innee kuntu min azh-zhalimeen” at least 300 times a day. In sha’Allah things will change from tricks to a real sweet life.

Feeling regret of love

Question:

Assalamualaikum Ya Syaikh,
I met a beautiful girl several years ago as a friend. Once time in the past. She broke relation with her boyfriend and I heard she liked me and I tried to approaching her even I wasn’t enough confident and ready at that moment. Actually was she back to her previous boyfriend before I told my feeling to her.

The problem is until now sometimes the feeling of love comes & makes me feeling regret for this condition because I  haven’t expressed my feeling yet & she is already married now with someone. Did I miss opportunity that Allah gave me? If she is written for me…is it possible I missed it because of my weakness?

Please pray for me for solution of this feeling,and hope Allah give another beautiful and better woman to become my wife. Is there any dua/wird/dzikir can i recite related to this intention? May Allah bless you. Thanks syaikh.

Answer:

`Alaykum Salam,
You didn’t miss anything at all. Rather all your rizq will reach you no matter what. Allah is most generous. Say in every du’a “Rabbana atina fil dunya hasanatan wa fil akhirati hasanatan wa qina ‘adhaban nar” to the intention of marriage.

Prayer Request: Graduate and next step

Salaam Shaykh,

Please can you forward my salaam to shakh Nazim also and all the great shaykhs present and the brothers. I am next to my exams and need a dua for success. I am graduating Insha Allah this year too so please do dua for me and my family and I need guidance in what I need to do next because I’m confused and not sure please do dua for me . I am graduating with a Biomedical degree Insha Allah.

Fear of a particular food

Question:

Asalaamualaikum,

Alhumdulilah, I am blessed with all sorts of food. However, from a young age I have had a fear of crisps. As I am growing older it’s getting worse as everywhere I am going I seem to see them everywhere. I try to avoid seeing them, but the more I avoid it the more I see them. I get very scared of them. Also when I see them I do panic, is there any way I can prevent that?

Is there any duaa I can read to over come it?

Dream: Shahadat written in dream

Dream:

Aoa,
I had a dream in which, I saw that I am with the person ( with whom I am engaged recently),we are married and we went to a place for vocations. There we saw different verses hanging on wall such as ASTAGFIRULLAH and Kalma Shahadat. I point out my finger towards kalma Shahadat and said ” this kalma is responsible for the achievements of life and shown me true path.”

Interpretation:

Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

Waoa,
This dream can mean that you would like for your mate to make istighfar for any faults between you, and to be loyal to you like the Kalima is loyal and never changes. And Allah knows best.

Family trouble

Question:

Salaam,

I am married in family, my husband has older brothers in Pakistan that don’t work or earn any money. My mother in law expects me and my husband to send money for her and his 2 brothers. What they don’t understand is we are struggling ourselves and we have 2 children and have mortgages and house bills. I need your advice as to what shall I do. We are always arguing about this and because money is so short.

Answer:

Wa`alaykumussalam,

Firstly, as a wife you are only responsible towards your husband. Secondly, what you earn is yours and no one else has a right or privilege to your earning except what you willingly give out of your own free will. Thirdly, every man who is sane and able, must find work to seek provision. It is the man who gives money to his dependents. Fourth, tell the above 3 points to your husband and calmly, kindly, courteously discuss this matter with his mother.

Tawassul, ibn Taymiyah and abdul Wahab

1) Is the hadith of Adam (A.S) making tawassul of the prophet (pbuh), authentic? who accepted this hadith, did any of the four imams accept it?
2) Who is ibn Taymiyah, what does he say, what do the Sufis say about him and also he rejects this hadith, why?
3) Who is abdul Wahab and what did he do and what is his background?
