asalamalakum I am wondering if there is an angel that protects domestic animals or one that watches over them. If so is there a certain prayer or dhikr to say. If not are there any specific prayers in Islam to say for animals (pets) to give them health and protection.

Angels are in charge of everything, including every single raindrop which has its own angel. A household is blessed by the blessed activities that take place in it, including animals and even the stones of the house. Pets are covered by the du`as in which Allah Most High is asked to bless our possessions and abodes.
