Dream: Death

Dream:

Bismillahirahmaniraheem Salaam:
My name is [private]. I have depression & recently bowel problems. My doctors prescribed painkillers which cause hallucinations. I was sleeping & woke up  @ night to see someone standing on the right side of my bed. I thought it to be a man with long dirty hair & lose beige clothing. My right hand went up&  the words ‘ya Allah’ left my lips as I said them he misted away. I am off the medication now, but today I had a dream that my old & dearest friend told me she had cancer (what I fear I have)  & was going to die. She was calm & strong . Death depresses me…as I am in debt….if you could please advise me.

May Allah swt bless you with prosperity in this life& the next.
JazakAllah.

Interpretation:

`Alaykum Salam,
A very good dream. Your greatest honor awaits you in the hereafter and such signs are angelic reminders that reconnect us to that awesome reality. Illnesses are a purification that signifies exalted stations in the Divine presence but we tend to see only this-worldly aspects. Allah Most High will take away every bad feeling. Give sadaqa, don’t be sad but speak to Allah Most High in your Salat, dua and dhikr and make Salawat on the Prophet (upon him blessings and peace) to relieve your pain.

I Need Advice

Question:

Asalamu Alaykum Wr. Wb.

My Shaykh, I wish to marry a revert Muslima. Her ex husband married her with the intent of getting a Green Card, and when she became pregnant he insisted on aborting the child. Alhamdulillah she didn’t do so, and now is the mother of a beautiful boy.

She says they have divorced, and he says they haven’t. This leaves me confused. I turn to you, kindly, inform me if this Nikkah was valid in the first place considering his only intent was to get immigration from this marriage. I came across her after praying for a wife, and seeing this dream.

JazakAllah Khair.

Answer:

`Alaykum Salam,

If living in Western country the let her file for divorce. If no cohabitation for 9 months and neither party wants to, then Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (Allah bless his secret) said marriage is cancelled. Short of this the marriage still stands and remains valid.

Performing Istekhara

Question:

Some one told we can do istekhara in this manner: make 6 chits , on 3 write “Faman yaAAmal mithqala tharratin khayran yarahu” (means yes) on other 3 write “Waman yaAAmal mithqala tharratin sharran yarahu” ( means no) {ayahs of Surah Zilzal}… Perform 2 rakah nafil namaz and put one chit aside, {Do it 3 times in total thereby performing 6 rakahs and picking one chit after every two rakahs (that means we pick 3 chits). Then open the chits and see if the nmbr of ‘yes chits’ is more it means istekhara is positive, if the number  of “no chits” is more it means istekhara is negative.

IS IT A VALID WAY OF DOING ISTEKHARA AND ALSO HOW MANY TYMS CAN WE DO IT?  Should WE ACCEPT THE FIRST RESULT OR CAN WE DO IT 3 OR 7 TYMS TIL WE GET A POSITIVE RESULT

Answer:

It is OK but after 6 rakaats the 1st reply is the final reply (3 chits) and that’s it. To keep doing it until you get your own way invalidates it.You must dispose of chits properly or keep them in a proper place.

Dream: Short people

Dream:

Es Selamu Aleykum,
About 5 years ago when started to work where I actually work, I saw a gathering of doctors, head of clinics, and I am part of them. In reality I’m the youngest. They were tall like children of 12-15 years old but with actual faces and I was of normal stature. The next morning, this happened in reality, the boss gathered us for real and there were the same persons I saw in my dream. Is it related to longevity or status?!

Interpretation:

a`udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem
Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem:

wa `alaykum salam,
Insha-Allah dunya status and spiritual maturity. And Allah knows best.

Prayer Request: Phobia

Request:

Asalamalikum,

I have a driving phobia. I am extremely scared of driving. This problem depresses me and i feel hopeless and worthless all the time. Kindly suggest something for me?

Response:

Alaykum Salam,

Make wudu and pray 2 rakaats before going out if possible or put something in your sadaqa box at home. When exiting your house say: Bismillah wa tawakkaltu ala Allah wa la hawla wala quwwata illa billah. Before ignition recite the dua of drivers and travellers: Subhan al-ladhi sakhkhara lana hadha wa ma kunna lahu muqrinin, wa-inna ila Rabbina la-munqalibun.

Rapid Salat

Question:

Assalamualaikum, my dear sheikhs. May Allah bless all of us.

I am pretty new to the Naqshbandi Sufi Order and I’ve seen them doing salat in a very rapid way. How do they recite Fatihah and others? Doesn’t the Qur’an tell us to read the Qur’an in a tartiil way?
Thank you.

Answer:

Wa`alaykumussalam,

The prayer may be rapid or slow, however with concentration, observing the pauses in between each change of movement, and the recitation in it must be proper and correct, without which the prayer is not acceptable.

How do you pray these prayers?

Question:

As-salamu alaykum!

I wish to know of how you can perform these prayers because I have no clue what so ever of how to do these prayers even though I really want to:

Tahiyat al-Wudu
Salatul Tahajudd
Salatu n-Najat
Salatu sh-Shukr
Salatu t-Tasbih
Salatu I-Ishraq
Duha Prayer

Jazak Allah Khairan! :)

Answer:

Wa`alaykumussalam,

All these prayers consist of only 2 rak’at each and can be performed at any time, with the exception of the following:

Salat at-Tahajjud may be performed in only one 2 rak’ah cycle up to 4 cycles (total 2 x 4 = 8 rak’at).

Salat at-Tasabih consists of 4 rak’at. You may choose to do 2 x 2 or complete 4 rak’at in the manner you would with Zuhr, Asr or Isha. In addition there is a Tasbih you recite at every change of position.

(The two prayers above, with Salat an-Najat, are performed during the night vigil (Qiyamullail). Salat ash-Shukr is also performed during Qiyamullail, however it can also be performed at any other time of the day. For more details, please refer to the steps here.

Salat al-Ishraq is performed approximately 20 minutes after sunrise, or when the sun rises up until it is above the horizon by the length of a spear and it ends at mid-morning.

Salat ad-Duha may be performed in only 2 rak’ah cycle up to 4 cycles, and this is performed only during the morning after the Ishraq until the sun reaches meridien. There are opinions that you may do this prayer up to 12 rak’at (2 x 6 cycles).
