Dream: Took Bai’ah

Dream:

Assalamua’laikum,
I dream few nights ago that I took bayah to an African man who had a light beard and mustache. He was wearing African Islamic dressing and kufi. I took this bayah in that dream with 1 friend and 3 unknown. My friend in reality is not really interested in Tariqah or sufism. The African man recited this verse while we were holding his hand

…إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يُبَايِعُونَكَ إِنَّمَا يُبَايِعُونَ اللَّهَ

and so on…

I also very very seldom get dreams when sleeping. So this dream was a surprise for me. Why do I very seldom dream..is it a good or common thing? In my heart MSN is my master and guide although I have never took bayah or online bayah to MSN.

May Allah give long life and health to Mawlana Sh.Nazim, Sh.Hisham, and all eshaykh staff. Ameen

Interpretation:

Alaykum Salam,
Your bayaa is to Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (Allah bless his secret) and every subsequent vision of bayaa is in confirmation of it. This dream simply alerts you to a connection past or future with Mawlana’s African murids.

Dream: White Lion

Dream:

As Salam walaikum,
In my house and I see my uncle sitting on the couch and there is a white lion under the dining table in front. He is huge and shining, and MashAllah, very beautiful. The main door of the house next to the table which is open a bit where I could see bright light and the lion was shining with the same light. He growls as he sees me and I feel he is calling to me not wanting to hurt me cause that’s what I felt when I saw his eyes but for some reason I’m scared to go to him. There is a girl behind me who pushes me towards him and says go to him he is calling you and I woke up. I would appreciate if this could be interpreted Jazak Allah.

Interpretation:

Alaykum Salam,
This is Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (Allah bless his secret) representing Allah’s victory and the Light of His Prophet in the spiritual life of Believers. A good dream.

A Sister’s Dream of Deceased Brother

Question:

My brother died a few months ago; he was in his 20s & very sick; ever since I’ve been thinking about him constantly, but I never dreamed him. Yesterday, during Maghrib salaat I made a dua talking to Allah about my problems, one of which was how much I missed my brother. Then last night I dreamt my of brother, healthier, jovial, laughing and hugging my parents and I. He didn’t talk much, because he was busy laughing and smiling. He just as he appeared in my dream, he left. I woke up it was 4:30 am, Fajr was at 5:44 am. Is this a true dream or a shaitan dream? Was it Allah’s way of showing me how happy and okay my brother is? I took care of my brother all my life, he was mentally handicapped and had cancer, when he passed, I was still worried.

Answer:

It is a true dream which you saw in the best of hours. In sha Allah your brother left this life clean and pure and he is making istighfar for you and entire family as Allah Most High gives His servants high levels through the sicknesses they endured.

Purpose in life

Question:

As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatuLlah shaykh Gibril,

I pray you are well, in sha Allah.

I was hoping you could offer some advice – how does one know what their ‘wijah’ or particular purpose in life is? Is it normal to study sacred sciences, and get a feeling that this isn’t for them – often I feel very out of place, and feel it doesn’t come as naturally to me as it does to the other students. Should I take this as a ‘sign’ to look for another purpose within the Deen?

How does one know whether these feelings are guidance, or rather misguidance from Shaytan?

I am sorry for my wishy-washy question, but am struggling to focus.

Jazakum Allahu khayran fi darayn for all your efforts, that are so appreciated. In need of your du’as,

Was-salam.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

You do very well to follow your heart and search for your niche. Ask Allah Most High to enlighten you in your choice, choose what you do best and consult for a better decision. Imam Nawawi for example studies anatomy for a while or medicine, then left it as he knew if was not for him. Similarly Imam Suyuti said he never quite took to logic or maths but shone in language, tafsir, hadith and law.

Dream: Maybe my dream girl

Dream:

Assalamoaleikum,

In 2008 I started to work in a warehouse and I fell in love with a white girl, and she too. We started staring to each other, she tried to talk to me ( a lot of time) but I was keep avoiding her.

In 2011 I took some holidays and decided to leave that job. And from those days she is keep coming to my dreams ,sometimes with hijab, sometimes as my neighbour…..
I used to dream about her when I was working there, thats I think is normal, but I left it.
I want to be like before, normal. Now she is coming nearly every night, I think about her everyday, I tried to forget her, nothing. I have everything ALHAMDULILLAH, pray 5 times a day, trying to follow the sunnah of our PROPHET MOHAMMED (PBUH)…

Could u tell me whats going on to me?

Jazakumullah khair

Interpretation:

`Alaykum salam,

You may either let time pass and forget her, or try and meet someone for marriage, or propose to her. It is up to you.

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem:

wa `alaykum salam,
Complete the medical treatment as directed by his physician. We ask Mawlana Shaykh Nazim and Mawlana Shaykh Hisham to pray for the health and long life in piety for your sons. Give sadaqa whatever is in your heart. In general, try to give a small sadaqa daily. The Prophet (s) said that sadaqa repels afflictions and increases one’s life. You may recite Salat Tunjina in dua after every prayer, and more if you like.

Kids Islamic Education

Question:

Salamalakum,

I was wondering what the best way to teach the Qur’an to my kids would be.
They only know English at the moment. Shall I get them memorizing the Arabic? Or find them an Arabic teacher first? Is it worth them memorizing the English translation first so they know the meaning? Or learning the Arabic and English at the same time?
Is there anything else to concentrate on?

They teach the Qu’ran at a mosque 20 miles away. The Imam there is nice. I went for jumma prayers but stopped when he started making jokes about pirs and sheikhs etc. Is it worth sending my kids there for now? (He’s not Wahabi or Salafi as he is against them (too)).

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

Teach them the basics first such Fatiha, Ayatul Kursi, Amanar Rasul and the short Suras for memorization, and once you find an appropriate teacher you can hire them to come to your home and teach them, or take them to the teacher. Yourself can read a page or more every day, up to 1 juz‘ if you can. Read dua over food when preparing, before eating and after and offer to the Prophet and Awliya to get support and inspiration.

Permission to Recite

Question:

Allah’s swt blessings be on our Prophet SAWS, Auliya Allah, Shaykh Nazim QS, Shaykh Hisham and shayukh and eshaykh staff.

I read in various posts here that there is general permission for Shaykh Nazim’s mureeds to recite Asma-ul-Husna. I was wondering if we can follow the abjad table for a count towards this. I specifically wanted to ask for permission from Shaykh Nazim for reciting ‘Ya Malik Al Mulk Zull Jallali Wal Ikram‘ – 1312 times according to its number. I did this zikr amidst my regular awrad a few times this week, and was scared in my sleep a couple of times as well as scary dreams which hadn’t happened to me for a while, unsure as maybe that happened because I slept on the left side or did I require permission for this zikr?

Please elaborate on these matters.Your Gratefully, please forgive me for my bad adab.

Answer:

Amin.
You have permission.
