Dream: Funeral and Prayers

Dream:

I received a call that my father-in-law passed away. Actually he died 12 years ago. I rushed to a plain-looking mosque and outside were 2 men lowering a body in a slanted way, legs first, into a tank of clear water with waves like the sea. I hid and watched behind a pillar. The body looked different from my father-in-law; quite short, bare-chested, tanned complexion, a squarish broad face and thick wavy black hair and beard, aged about 35-40 years. I thought to myself, “Oh, now he has become Sayyidina Ali.” My father was Imam for janazah prayers and waiting for me to join. I’m surprised because I’m a woman. I had wudhu but was embarrassed about my jeans rolled up to below my knees and quickly pulled them down. I prayed behind my father and 2 men and was surprised it ended with tahiyat and salam in seating position.

Interpretation:

a`udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem
Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem:

This dream can mean that you are going to receive a benefit from your father-in-law. And he want’s you to give charity or make du`a for him. As for your father leading the janaza prayer, it means he is a leader and he is going to need your advice when he forgets and have senior moments.

And Allah knows best.

Reflection

Question:

I read in the Al-Quran’s translation about “…people who reflect.”

What does it mean to reflect and is there a method used by the Rasul when he “reflect”?

I imagine that if one were to reflect, it is almost as if he is in a state of ‘day-dreaming’ or ‘thought-processing’ or like what my friend would say: “trance”.

How should a muslim REFLECT?

Answer:

a`udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem
Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem:

It is a deep and important subject that we are encouraged to keep studying. The basic meaning is: those who give thought, use their minds, meditate. The Prophet (saws) was known to be often silent and contemplative. In the cave, before the revelation, he was in meditation and contemplation.

Allah (swt) says, “Those who remember Allah standing, sitting, and on their sides and give thought to the creation of the heavens and earth” (Aali Imran, 191) as the ulul albab, people of deep understanding.

Through dhikr and meditating on creation you move towards deeper understanding. A Muslim should be conscious of his negative and positive qualities and turn to Allah in order to rid of harmful qualities (i.e. anger, jealousy, love of dunya) he identifies and acquire praiseworthy qualities reflected from Allah (swt), Prophet (saws) and AwliyaAllah— Friends of Allah.

Wallahu Alam.

Dream: Garden & Monkeys

Dream:

Salamalaykum,

Sheikh(s) hope you’re well. I had four similar dreams lately:
I heard the rap song “don’t dis the Prophet”(S) coming from our shed in the middle of the night, i went out, and my neighbour was throwing flammable white-spirits over the shed and garden. (Then my house was on fire and i lost my voice shouting “fire” to my parents etc who were visiting upstairs).

Second, the OTHER neighbours(!), were in our garden trouble making with a friend, 2 went back but one aggressively refused so i swung him and cracked his head on a stone wall and then he was covered in blood and nearly dead (I think in real life he had a brain injury when he was younger).

Other dreams, The monkey ones are just one ape in the garden (not intimidating), and one monkey who clung to me nicely but then my mom killed him.

Interpretation:

Wa alaikum salaam wa rahmatullah,
It means to protect yourself with zikr, good deeds and charity. This will create good energy that spreads to your surroundings. Keep trying to purify your mind with zikr and good opinions and intentions to people around you. Wallahu Alam.

Coldness During Dhikr

Question:

Assalamualikum,

My entire body gets very cold when I do dhkir or supplicate after Praying. Also after doing dhkir everything around me brightens up and my palms seem to become very “white”. Is there any reason behind this or am I just imagining. Also please ask shaykh Hisham and shaykh Nazim to pray for me to never have any doubts that Islam is the true religion and to also never be misled by shaytan. I really need your blessings

Jazakallah!

A Strange Dream with MSN & MSH

Dream:

I dreamt,MSH took me to mosque with brass door.We go in and a man outside closed the door. I saw MSN on a big chair, alone. I was crying & he said “patience”. We (MSH came out). I heard MSH sayin, its Jibril AS who closed door when we were inside. After that I saw me in MSN’s home. He sat on floor&asked for water. A man gave him Zamzam water. MSN came on the woman side. I helped in holding MSN arms for him to walk when suddenly he fainted. I grabbed ahold of him & all was saying he is gone. I cry & was saying “Ya Allah don’t take him”. Then some men came& took him. I saw a small bag of green pistachios which MSN somehow gave me.I could hear MSN whispers saying to me,whenever you need help, grate it on your food and eat. Its duah in it. I was crying saying MSN loves us so much & cares for us. I dont want him to go. 2nd dream,I was wearin white dress&cryin 2 see MSN.

Heavy Head

Question:

Bismillah Ar Rahman Nir Raheem

Salaam alaikum ya Sayyidi Mawlana Sheikh Hisham. May Allah bless Sheikh Nazim and you with a long healthy life, Ameen.

I have started performing Islamic meditation & muraqaba for 2 months now. Since then, I have been experiencing some strange palpitation on the right side of my head. It is not bothersome. However, my head feels heavy as soon as I start to worship Allah – while I am doing my daily awrad or as soon as I divert my self in dhikrullah. Please give me something to read for it, should I worry over it? I met you a few weeks ago but did not bring it up since the heaviness has increased dramatically – just recently.

Jazakallah!

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Insha-Allah Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani is praying for you.

This “heaviness” is a sign you are on the right path, continue and don’t be alarmed or put off. Shaytan is never happy to see anyone escape his clutches and will make it as hard as possible to observe the powerful forms of worship our mashaykh are teaching.

If it remains difficult increase your salawat more and reduce your other practices, until the pressure become bearable. However, it is better if you can maintain what you are doing and be patient with the heaviness, recite a`udhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem when this occurs and recite Ya Latif lam tazal ultuf bina fima nazal 10x daily.
