Dream: Istikarah to move out of UK

Dream:

Assalamoualaikoum,

I performed istikarah for guidance to leave the UK as I have lost my job and i am single. These are dreams that i had whilst performing istikarah.

1) I dreamt that I bought the house of my cousin in my home country and she told me that she can still stay in the house which did not seem to make sense. I also saw that i was visiting a girl to check whether i am interested in her. I had rejected the girl last year. However, in this dream she looks more beautiful and younger.

2) I dreamt that i was walking in the market. However, I was wearing nothing no pants but nobody did see me. I was trying to l buy the missing clothes but i was in no hurry.

3) I saw myself in an unknown town and i could hear the Esha adhan.

JazakAllah

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem:

wa `alaykum salaam,

Wearing no pants (half naked) shows deficiency in your religion. Make intention to marry and complete half of your faith. See what your prospects are in your home country. The adhan is a sign of good news coming there.

And Allah knows best.

Sunni vs. Shia

Question:

Assalamualaykum Warahmatullah.

There is one thing that bears in my mind. We Muslims, are splitting up. Is it true that we hate Shias, or can say that we don’t like them? What is our perspective towards them? Why there is so much hatred? Why do we Sunnis hate them and they hate us back? What is Hazrat Mahdi (r.a)’s opinion about Shia? And why do Sunni’s Tasawwuf line has slightly in common with some issues in Shia madhab but the Sunni’s Syria line, doesn’t? In my personal point of view, I really don’t like the hatred. Jazakallah for your reply, sir

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

We need a reconciliation between Shia and Sunnis today more than ever before. In December 2010, Saudi Shia and Sunni representatives in Medina signed a document to “live as one family.” This is a good example to be followed by others.

Marriage

Question: Marriage

Salam,
I am mureed of Sheikh Nazim al haqqani, and wish to know, whether as a Sunni boy is it permissible to marry a shia girl. We are both studying at the moment and are very interested in each other. My concern would be the reaction of both of our parents. If some guidance could be given, it would be much appreciated.
jazakallah khair

Answer:

The answer in general is “yes.” In some countries such as Iraq, this is very common. The Twelve Imam Shiah (Ja’faries) represent the majority of Shiah and have some differences with Sunnis, but as long as they don’t curse Sahabah or pronounce Sunnis as unbelievers,  you can marry their girl.

2 Raka`ats

Question:

Salam Ya Shaykh! May Allah give long and happy life to you and your deputies! (Ameen) my question is when Maulana Shaykh says pray 2 rakat before sleep etc… or in other posts the answer is pray 2 rakat. Does that mean 2 rakat Fard? Jasak Allah!

Answer:

Tahajjud is offered after Isha prayer before Fajr. One is to offer Witr after Tahajjud, but if he/she fears that they will not be able to wake up on time then they should pray Witr before just in case. Two units of Tahajjud is what we believe Mawlana meant when he said that.

Dream: Wearing White Trainers

Dream:

Assalamu Alaikum,

Dear Mashaikh,

I had a dream I went into a mosque and commenced prayer in the mihrab then I felt instead of mihrab I was somewhere in the middle of the mosque and the mosque had red prayer mats. I felt I couldn’t keep balanced during the prayer i.e. it was difficult to stand firmly in (qiyam) upright position. Then I understood the reason was because I was wearing a pair of white colour trainers, I felt sense of shame that what people would say about me wearing trainers in the mosque, then a thought came to my mind that I have a problem of forgetting things and that’s why I forgot to take them off, after that thought I woke up.

Please tell me the meaning of this dream, I will be very grateful.

Wearing a T-Shirt during Salat

Question:

Asalam alaikum,
I was just wondering whether it is acceptable or not acceptable to wear a short sleeved t-shirt whilst reading salat. I know that during hajj or Umrah a man is required to wear a cloth which does not cover one arm. Could you please resolve this issue for me.

Jazak allah

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

It is disrespectful although not forbidden, as a matter of fact Salat is acceptable being offered with short sleeved t-shirt. However, we are to read between the lines. Our respected shaykhs teach us to think over every verse in the Noble Qur’an and not stay just on the surface. Look at this verse (Ayah):

O Children of Adam! Wear your beautiful apparel at every time and place of prayer: eat and drink: But waste not by excess, for Allah loveth not the wasters. (Surat al-`Araf, 7:31)

Do we go to a wedding in our t-shirts, to an interview, etc.? No, we don’t. Then why do we tend to present ourselves before Allah with less care?

Umra and Hajj have specific instructions as they are to remind us of our death when we will be dressed in Kafans – white fabric similar to Ihrams.

Temporary Marriage Contract

Question:

Salams. I am a sunni muslim girl(24) living in a westernised land far away from my homeland. i am also a mureed of shaykh nazim. I am trying to educate myself as much on islam. I am at a point in life where I wish to start my own family. I have tried a muslim matrimonial site so as to find a suitor. I ended up having a meeting with a Shia guy who proposed me a contract marriage for a certain period of time in order to decide our compatibility in view of a real marriage in the future. I sort of refused it and ceased all contact with that person. Now, after a few days, I am asking myself if I did the right thing. I would like to know the Sufi(sunni) standing point in regards to contract marriage. Thanks a lot. Salams

Answer:

Permanent marriage is to be promoted. However In Shia tradition temporary marriage (Mut’ah) is not necessarily a sexual relation. It  serves to enable a girl to come to know her future husband – without consuming marriage. This may last a few months before the official permanent marriage takes place. Allah knows best.

Dream: Meeting Hajjah Naziha

Dream:

Assalam alaikum wa rahmatullah,

My mother had a dream where she meets Hajjah Naziha who puts her hand on my mothers head, and says that Allah (swt) will give [private], my sister, a baby. There are other people over there as well. Hajjah Naziha then takes a picture of [private] and places it slightly above Grandshaykh’s (q) picture on the wall. My mom kisses her feet , she is wearing a long white skirt.

Please give our love to Mawlana Shaykh Nazim, Mawlana Shaykh Hisham, Mawlana Shaykh Adnan and Hajjah Naziha, may Allah (swt) infinitely increase their stations. Jazakallah Khai.
