The objection is wrong. The recitation of the Qur’an for inaugurating events, new buildings, projects and other occasions is a form of du`a and asking for blessing. It makes Shaytan angry and so he spreads such waswasa to block the reward and Divine support of such activities. They also spread the same lies about dhikr, taraweeh, salawat, ziyara etc., all of which are in reality avenues of major blessings through sunnah deeds.

Salam aleykoum wa rahmatullah wa barakatouh.
O sheikh, I actually live with my Indonesian wife in Indonesia (I’m French) and unfortunately have no chance to get working visa unless I pass a teaching grade and/or become “artist” (I’m former rock/hard rock musician and drawer, I stopped when I converted to Islam.). Though, I learned today that my income I was intending to use to finance my course has dramatically shrank and I’m afraid I won’t be able to make it, except if Allah grants me some last minute opening.
What should I do? My wife is pregnant and I want to work so that she can stop her’s. We’re quite unwilling to go to France, especially with this harsh islamophobic atmosphere of nowadays. Though, if it’s the best solution for our family life and religion, I will make it insha-Allah.

Why are they drawing parallels and comparision of this sort?

The three cases are the main ones but the general imam of the Muslims (caliph) has the military right to exact punishment through war for other cases as well, for example if a community refuses to raise adhan or pray janaza or remit zakat and other cases.

I have a relation regarding the length of visions. Has there ever been circumstances in which an awliya/ murid have had visions, and the vision has lasted perhaps for many years or so, even though the actual vision in reality could have been for a few minutes or seconds.
Also, since awliya have many visions alhamdulillah.. does this mean that they may feel as if they’ve been living for a long time (because of long visions).

Recently, she has been seeing Mawlana Shaykh Nazim in her dreams. She has not taken bay`a yet, however now after the dreams she would like to. First dream: She saw MSN at the Prophet (s) Rawda Shareefa and then he took her hand and took her inside. Second dream: She saw herself wearing the Naqshbandi Turban like Mawlana in dark colors and without the embroided calligraphy. We have never met this sister yet and she does not attend the local zikr yet, but she has been communicating with me by phone and initially I met her on SufiLive Chat room.

My incomprehension of the last couple of pages of the Fusus al-Hikam is damaging my faith, for a year now since reading it.
“The Divinity which conforms to the belief is created by he who concentrates on It, and It is his own work.”
“..But this..Name the Last..is none other than the determination of God that the adorer ‘creates’ in his ritual orientation, be it by his intellectual vision, be it by his dogmatic belief.”
“The Divinity conforming to the belief is that which can be defined, and it is That, the God, which the heart can contain. For the Absolute Divinity cannot be contained in anything..”
After reading this I keep thinking of God as something I’m imagining/’creating’ in my imagination/part of my imagination. And when I hear saints talk about God being in their hearts I get confused. If it’s possible to help, please help!

Leave it and read instead the introduction of the Risala Qushayriyya where you will see the same concept mentioned in more hadithic language, namely that “whatever you imagine Allah to be He is beyond that.” Preferably read it in the original Arabic.
