Prayer Request: Imam Al-Ghazzali

Request:

Assalamualikum!

Recently I saw a documentry on imam al ghazzali and I found out that in the early stages of his life he has the same views as I have. How can I obtain the same knowledge as him and how can I become a seeker of truth like him with proper guidance. As I want to seek for the real truth and knowledge please pray for me to have a guide. Also I am going Umrah on the 10th of June, so is there anything I can do to during umrah? Thank you and may Allah bless all.

Prayer Request: PLEASE HELP ME

salaam,

I had written to you a few weeks back because I love this man, who has not been talking to me. I requested permission to say the dua allahumma layyin qalbi fulan ibne fulan kama layyintal hadida li syeddinna daud alay his salaam. Since then, we have spoken and it seemed to go well. Maulana sahib, I really want to get married to him. I need to sit and have a face-to-face discussion about our situation and get an honest answer from him but it has just been possible to do so. Please pray that I get a chance to talk to him and sort out our differences and that we can get married. I love him very much and cannot bear to lose him. There are times I wish I were dead because I cannot take the pain. Please pray for me as I am very hurt.

Prayer Request: Urgent prayer for elder sister.

Asalaam olaikum wt wb shaikh nazim please can u pray for our sister her name is maryam syed she has eaten something which has resulted in a evil sprit to enter her body. The evil sprit is of a english man who commit suicide he wont leave her eventhough we have prayed so much, even did hazri ourselves as we have no one who can help us. Please mawlana we have accepted baiyth with u and really need ur prayers and direction. We have been doin the protection on ourselves and our house, found on eshaikh please can u help us. Anyone reading this post plz pray4us.

It is not the spirit of a man who entered your sister, there is no such thing. It is however likely a jinn, possibly one familiar with the man he claims to be. And Allah knows best.

Dream: How do you know if you saw our Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in your dream for definite ?

Dream:

I had a dream where i saw a man sitting down on a bench kind of thing & he had a black beard, looked young in appearance, not tall not short- average height..& wore a black topi.. he had noor coming off his face- like a white glowing clear face, but it wasn’t tremendously strong noor.. he didn’t have hair coming down to his shoulders.. i cant remember how long it was but i think it was short .. he was looking towards my direction and in my conscious, in my dream, i was pretty certain it was Muhammad saw..
but he wasn’t wearing a robe or anything like that .. he was wearing a lose denim jacket .. was did this dream mean ?

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

If you felt such certainty in the dream then that is insha-Allah correct. Else it maybe that you saw one of the Muhammadan representatives, who carry his light and secret.

Alhamdulillah to see our beloved Sayyidina Muhammad (s) is one of the most blessed of things that can happen to anyone. It means protection from seven great trials during this life and seven great trials in the Hereafter.

Seeing the Prophet (s) dressed in modern clothing is an indication to strive even harder to follow his Sunnah.

Secrets of Wuzu and Marriage

Alhamdulillah for our beautiful prophets, Awliya & Sheikhs.
I read some material of Sheikh Hisham’s about how blessed it is to do wuzu and there are many secrets behind it. Could you kindly tell us the secrets or maybe just highlight the main points, if possible please.
I also read Sheikh Hisham said when a husband holds his wife’s hand, his sins are forgiven and that is one of the many secrets of marriage. Could you please tell us more secrets of marriage? Inshallah people reading this post may be more enthusiastic towards wuzu and marriage when they have more knowledge and understanding what is actually happening and the incredible amounts of blessing that is involved.

Intention for Past Due Zakat

Question:

Assalam u alayekum!
If a person has not paid zakaat for some specific year and now he wants to pay that zakaat but he does not remember what exact amount of zakaat was due on him at that time. Rather he makes a large estimate ensuring that it is more than that minimum amount that was due on him in the past and intending “O Allah! accept this, if it is more than that amount I intend to offer it as sadqa e naafila“. He gives it to a single person/organization as zakaat.
Will his zakaat be paid and will he get the reward of sadqa e naafila?

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

The obligatory precaution is that a poor and destitute person should not receive Zakat more than his expenses and those of his family, for one year. And if he possesses some money or commodity, he should receive Zakat equivalent to the shortfall in meeting his expenses for a year. An organization can receive more than what is enough for one person and, in your case, you will get reward for giving more than 2.5% of your savings or other commodities.

Clapping

Question:

Salaam Ya Sayedi and all at Eshaykh.

Is clapping permissible? either in Hadra or not. As some say there is a hadith where the Prophet (pbuh) forbade this and said men don’t clap and say SubhanAllah instead. and if this is the case does Mawlana forbid this as well or not? as in alot of the hadras there are people clapping.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

There is nothing in the sources of Shari`ah that prohibits it. Men are only not allowed to clap their hands in Salat (prayer) [when the imam makes a mistake]. Therefore, men may clap their hands in a Hadrah. As for the Hadith, this is applicable to Salat.
