How to perform sajda e sahw

Question:

Salam ya sheikh!!
I wanted to ask that what is correct method of performing sajda e sahw when we make a mistake in our salah? Is it just like the regular sajdah we offer in our prayers. Do we have to say Subhana Rabbi Yal Aala in sajda e sahw or not?

Answer:

As-Salamu ‘Alaikum,

The waajibaat of the Salah are 7. They are:

1. All of the takbiraat except takbiratul-ihram [All the sayings of Allaahu akbar except the first one (first one is a pillar)]

2. Saying: Subhaana rabiyal-`azheem (at least once) in rukoo`/bowing position

3. Saying: sami` Allaahu liman hamidah

4. Saying: rabbanaa lakal-hamd

5. Saying: Subhaana rabbiyal-`ala (at least once) in sujood

6. The first tashahhud (at–tahiyyaat) [in Fajr the first is a pillar, in the others prayers they are wajibaat]

7. Sitting down during the first tashahhud

If a person remembers that he forgot one of these wajibaat while still praying, then he only has to make the two ordinary prostrations for forgetfulness and recite Subhaana rabbiyal-`ala at least once but better 3 times. If he remembers a long time after already completed the prayer then inshallaah he is excused.

Wolves attacking sheep

Question:

I was with some people and from far we could see ‘warewolves’ big wolves attacking sheep’s (don’t recount amount) on an open green lush land, some sheep’s were killed, then a bunch of bombs dropped, some wolves were killed, but it continued on.

Answer:

The wolves of your ego attacking your heart and soul but due to protection of your Shaykh, they are prevented. However the battle is ongoing, so I remind myself and you, keep your salat/namaz, keep your eyes, and observe your daily Awrad. Allah knows best.

Permission to recite surah muzammil and hizb ul bahar

Please convey my salam to sayyadi Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani (qs). Please ask Sayyadi to grant me permission to recite 40x Surah Muzammil daily. I love Surah Muzammil and also permission for Hizb ul Bahar. Jazakallah

There is general permission from Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani for both.

Insomnia since 15

Prayer Request:

am suffering from severe insomnia since I was 15 yrs old. I am now 24 and still have same problem . I have tried many things but nothing has worked. No medical treatment has helped. Can u pray for me to be cured. My name is fayza Kara

Answer: 

In-sha-Allah Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani is praying for you.

For insomnia, Mawlana Shaykh Nazim Haqqani in his book Natural Medicine says:

Never sleep between noon and sunset! Don’t drink coffee or tea after sunset!

Any time after sunset when you feel sleepy go to sleep at once. Respect your sleepiness, don’t fight it. After 40 days of taking these precautions your sleeping problem will be solved. Insha Allah.

Istikhara Dream (Istikhara for Marriage)

Question:

I saw a ginger cat who was in my house and running after me. The cat was nice, friendly & not harming me in anyway but i was just running away and i took her out of the house then locked my house but it was outside. Later, my mom said i should feed him ..

Answer:

Cats in dreams signify troubles and disturbances. Since this was in answer to istikhara it means avoid whatever you were praying about, and you will be saved from troubles (the cat got locked out), and Allah knows best.

outside mum’s house

Question:

For Huzoor Shahzaman dream

Outside mums house talking to man sky goes dark. I see a big Orange planet and solar storm besides it. Everything feels very calm and beautiful in visions. Sky turns light and then goes dark again. Slushy ice drops then back to light.

Pls do tafsir.

Assalamualaykum WaRahmatullah

MashaAllah this is a glad tiding for you and may have two meanings.

a) if your are already married then: InshaAllah you will meet with noble and dignified people whom are spiritually elevated and also well connected with the authority of the country that you live in. Through them Allah Subhanahu Ta’ala will present you with business opportunity. There will be ups and downs in the way but you need to ask your mother for dua. If mother is alive then do service for her and if she has passed away then feed poor people or orphans on her behalf.

b) If you are not married then you will come in contact with a wealthy, dignified and chaste woman with high social status. Through her prosperity will come.

A dhikr which I did in past

Question:

Assalamu Alaikum Ya Shaykh,
I did a dhikr given to me by a relative she just said that u burn candle in front of ur eyes and see the fire of it and pray the tasbee I don’t remember it . After that my life changed to bad I want to know is it good or bad?

Answer:

wa alaykum salam,

Don’t blame your problems on Dhikr, rather look in the mirror. Instead do more Dhikr, especially Darood Shareef (salawat) but get it from an authorized Shaykh.

Moustache

Question:

I have a big moustach with beard, majority of the ottoman portraits wether it’s the Califas or general people in ottoman time had big moustaches, also a lot of dervishes I see, please shed a light on this, can I keep?

Answer:

Keep your moustache trimmed above the upper lip as you can clearly see in the thousands of pictures of the greatest  khalifa and Ottoman of our times, Mawlana Shaykh Nazim.

Aunty’s opinion

Question:

I had a dream where my aunty says to my mom that why is [private] (me) trying to be an alim why doesn’t he just be like everyone else, why doesn’t he work a proper job. What does this mean.

Answer:

It means re-evaluate your intention in becoming an alim and Allah knows best.
