I would like my dream to be interpreted well i had a dream that I have hair growing on my chin and then it turns into a beard, and I am telling my husband in my dream that I had a dream where I have a beard and it means that I will give birth to a baby boy. I am very excited in my dream whilst telling my husband about the dream he isn’t really listening to me he is very busy in my dream.

She is or will be ill. Her husband’s or son’s wealth will increase. Her son will be dignified. If she is married, her husband will be absent.

Reciting Fatiha, Shafi`i School

Question:

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakathu,

I have question regarding as a Shafi praying behind an imam.
As it is fard for the Shafi to recite Fatiha in every prayer. What if you don’t finish reciting the Fatiha and imam goes for ruku are we supposed to follow imam without finishing Fatiha or do we finish reciting it and the go for ruku? Shukran Salaam.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

Try to finish Fatiha quickly then go in ruku‘. It is still valid if no time to finish before ruku‘, as long as you spent more time reciting Fatiha than reciting Du’a al Iftitah (wajjahtu wajhi lilladhi fatara al samawati wal ard…etc.)

If imam stops after each Aya you can try to recite each Aya (of al-Fatiha) at that time. This way you have completed Fatiha if he recites Qur’an without pausing for the ma’mum (followers’ recitation of al-Fatiha) after ‘Amin.’

Dhikr khafi is silent dhikr. You can do that when you become steadfast in daily Practice of the Initiate (istiqamah) and you get an indication from Mawlana Shaykh Hisham.

Raising Finger in Tashahud

Question:

Assalamualaikum Mawlana Shaykh Nazim, Mawlana Shaykh Hisham and all eshaykh staff.

During the tashahud, I raise my right finger during Shahadah until the end of Salawat Ibrahimiyyah. Is this correct? Or am I supposed to lower my right finger after Shahadah in the tashahud.?(I’m following Shafi’i fiqh.) What do I do if I have been doing things wrongly in my prayers? Thank you in advance for all your help and guidance.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

In the Shafi’i madhab you raise your finger at the time of Shahada and keep it like that until tasleem. It is considered makrooh to move the finger.
