Dream: Seeing the Dajjal

Dream:

As Salamu Alaykum,

I had this dream on a Thursday or Friday night, maybe around the time of Salatul Fajr. I saw the Dajjal in human form, it was only me and him in the middle of nowhere, he was standing in front of me and looking somewhere towards my left, his eyes were fixed in that spot. He did not match the description of the Ahadiths but he was close to 6 foot, thin shaped, brown complexion, I think he was Asian, maybe Indian or Pakistani, somewhere from Southern Asia, he wore the Shalwar, the islamic clothing in white, he wore the Islamic hat in white, I think he had short hair and held a tasbeeh I think in his right hand, the only description that was connected with the Ahadiths was his left eye that was dysfunctional, it was semi closed but he could not see in that eye.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,
Dream points to the currency of Dajjal’s appearance and the fact that many people will be seduced by his lies. Read Surat al-Kahf every Jumua and recite the dua of protection against him in every tashahhud.

Uncle is like father, so you may follow his advice and apply while holding on to your present job and see if something opens up.

Uncertainty, Nine Points in Heart

Question:

I have been exploring the Naqshbandi Tariqa for some time. I have had a very positive experience with Maulana Hisham Kabbani, and the murshids I’ve met, and am very drawn to the practices I’ve read about, seen and taken part in. But I am uncertain about some of the teachings of the order that seem to specify details of the unseen not mentioned in the Qur’an or Sunna. One of these are the nine points in the heart, each governed by a Naqshbandi shaykh. I don’t want to sound challenging or confrontational in any way — but must an initiate of the order accept these kinds of teachings as factual truth? How important is acceptance of the teachings on the Sultanate to becoming an initiate? I have a real fear — not to throw out a Salafi term — of bida in belief.

Answer:

Alhamdulillah, may Allah make you feel more contented with the Shuyukh.

You are uncertain because you haven’t made Bay’ah hence you haven’t learnt much yet. There is a gradual progression in learning and practicing. At this point it is sufficient that you appreciate the base matters before going further.

However there is a way for you to understand. Step (1) make the Bay’ah here. Step (2) practice the daily Awrad. Step (3) try to be in the company of the Shaykh as our Way is built on association (Suhbah). Soon enough you shall receive understanding and certainty.

Last verse of Surah Tawbah

Question:

It is stated in Sunan Abee Dawood that the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه و سلم) said, “Allah will grant whoever recites this seven times in the morning and evening whatever he desires from this world or the next.”

Is this hadith authentic?

Answer:

Abu Dawud narrates it in his Sunan (Book of Adab toward the end) as a saying of Abu al-Darda’ with a chain of trustworthy narrators, which makes it authentic as a Companion-report. Furthermore, Ibn Hajar and al-Mundhiri in Mukhtasar al-Targhib wal-Tarhib (p. 172 §526) said it has the status of a Prophetic hadith.

The correct wording is: “Whoever says when he reaches morning and when he reaches evening Hasbiya Allahu la ilaha illa Hu, `alayhi tawakkaltu wa-Huwa Rabbu al-`arsh al-`azhim seven times, Allah shall suffice him of whatever concerns him whether he is truthful or lying.”

Nikkah during menses

Question:

Bismillahi Rahmani Rahim, first I want to thank you for this webspace you provide to clarify doubts or things we can not understand well and are important for us, people who are trying to follow the way of our beloved Prophet.

I have a simple question: Is it possible to perform nikkah/marriage during bride’s menses? The date of the wedding was already decided and preparation is in process. Possibly the bride will be in her menstrual days at this day. Do we need to postpone the wedding?

Thanks for your answer in advance and may Allah bless you for ever.

Answer:

No reason to postpone the wedding if scheduled to be performed outside a masjid. The menstrual only impedes a woman from formal prayers, entering the prayer room, touching mushaf and performing a Hajj ritual (Tawaf).

Wahabi, Salafi Beliefs

Question:

AOA,
I just wanted to ask you a question?
What is the difference between Naqashbandi, Syed, Gilani and all these silsilas? they all claim their chain goes back to the prophet. They are all misguiding people and creating divisions in Islam. Shaykh Hishams taweez and dua aytul kursi says Ya Hin Ya ali. This is all shirk. Ya means the person who can hear you and only Allah can do that. These silsilas are creating problems in Islam and are against shariah. Shaykh Hisham says in video for the dua of aytul kursi that he say Allah this and that. That is bidah. No one can see Allah until day of judgement only Moses Saw Allah.
How do you know these Wali’s are real or fake?

Answer:

There are no distinctions, no problems. They all guide us back to Allah, their destination is Him alone. It is for those who have belief, knowledge, manners, love and taste. We advise you to instill your self with those, and perhaps the blessings shall come.

Prayer Request: Need help

Request:

Asalam Alaykum,

My name is [private]. May Allah (SWT) give Mawlana Shaykh Nazim and Mawlana Shaykh Hisham long and happy lives as well as all the noble Shaykhs of the Naqshbandi tariqa.

Ya Sayyidi, I ask for your prayers to help me control my nafs. I am not married and find it difficult to control my sexual urges. Could you please pray that I can fight this lust, and stop my evil addiction? Also is there anything I can recite to help? I apologize for my lack of adab.

Response:

Wa `alaykum salam,

Insha-Allah Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani is praying for you.

Ask your parents to find a wife for you to avoid falling into haram. Meanwhile fast as much as possible and recite daily: allahuma ‘kfina bi halalika `an haramika w ‘aghnina bi-fadlik `amman siwak.
