Help needed for divorce proceedings

Question:

Asalaamlikum

My friend has asked me to write this and is requesting help/guidance for her divorce. Her family is not supporting her one bit and blaming her for everything and siding with their culture/name as more important than their daughter/sister being mentally hurt and trying to force her back into the marriage to Pakistan (she lives in the UK). Her older brother claims according to Hanafi fiqh that a husband is allowed to have bed relations with his wife whenever he pleases and it is not abuse regardless of the wife’s mood and health, and says it’s disobedience from the wife. My friend has filed for a divorce and needs your Dua’s to get out of this situation quickly. She is asking for any prayer she can recite to help her in her case, InshAllah.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

It is considered forbidden for a woman to have sex during her period. The wife can refuse to have sex while having her period. Otherwise, constant refusal to have sex is regarded as a valid reason for talaq or khula`(divorce).

Permission to move and istikhara

Question:

Asalaamu Alaikum to all the mashaykh.

My husband and I are making istikhara to move to UK. He’s unhappy at work and has an opportunity to specialise and practice as a GP there. My family are in the UK and I’m having difficulties with my in-laws.

Regarding istikhara, I dreamed I lived in a ramshackle house with broken walls, my in-laws inside the house and people were coming to make dhikr. I missed the dhikr, and felt terrible. My aunt entered the house with beautiful noor, and I wished to be like her. In reality my aunt’s mother-in-law recently left her household, she also had a hard time. Is my resentment towards my in-laws hurting me spiritually? Should I get distance like my aunt? I ask forgiveness for myself and them daily. I also dream of my family.

Dream: Istikhara dream for marriage

Dream:

I’m an 18 yr old girl and I started to like a 27 year old guy. He is really nice and has been a friend to me. He is very understanding. I feel he is the best guy who I am comfortable with and will be. I did istikhara to marry him. I saw my mom in the dream. Recently there have been some family problems between my mom and the guy’s sister. Please advise what does seeing my mom in my dream signify.

Dream: Wearing hijab while a man hugs me

Can you please tell me what this dream means.

I was walking about in the snow and wearing a Hijab. I saw a friend come up to me and hug me (male).

Interpretation:

Dream: Throwing away an insect-ridden apple

Dream:

I dreamed of crossing a stairway with friends in which we got separated. I passed lots of bad men (gang members I think). A bad guy sold me an apple, which I purchased quickly without really looking at it to get away. On the way I had to go past a mutilated body. I walked away unharmed by the men, they all moved out of the way as I walked past. Once making it out of the area I am very disturbed and upset about the body and how no one seemed to care about it. Later I pulled out the apple (which was not rotten) from my bag to find it had a large bite already out of it and it was crawling with bugs. I threw the apple away and vacuumed my bag and contents.

Dream: Shaykh, plane and relatives

Dream:

1. Shaykh shows me a stick. I run into the next room then come back realising Shaykh is not serious and is smiling. I kiss his hand. He keeps hold of my hand. Then he says, “you will learn /get knowledge of quran”. He gets me to open my mouth wide and reads somthing and blows on me or my mouth.
2. Extended family relations are boarding the plane. There is disorder in the plane. My husband looks worn out/dishevelled hair. The eldest daughter is kicking younger daughter under the table. The younger is crying  and I’m fed up. I call madad shaykh. Suddenly all the plane is orderly.( What is happening with my daughters, does my eldest not like the young one? I’m worried they do not love one another).
3. Mother-in-law and her sister are in my house holding a naked baby boy. I think, “I’m taking it off her” saying, “it’s mine” and how come she’s got it.

Dream: Killer Whales and the Green Beast

Dream:

Shaykh Nazim, may Allah Blessing and Peace be upon him, called Me a Green Beast. He didn’t seem mad or anything when he said it. Also I see sometimes orca whales or Killer Whales when I dream. I’m fearful of the whales most of the time in the dreams.

Interpretation:

Dream: Istikhara dream if I should stay in marriage

I did istikhara to know if I should contiune my relationship with my wife and saw in istikhara dream a big white rabbit which I was stroking and a tree with big white papaya fruits which I climbed plucked and ate. What is the meaning of my dream?

Dream: About Imam Mehdi and Dajjal

Dream:

I dreamt that the Dajal had been brought down to the west side of the earth while Imam Mahdi was brought down to the east… it was quite a scary dream. In my dream I heard a voice that resembles *God* saying that it is in the inscription that the two beings will be placed down on earth. Additionally in my dreams during the coming of both beings, the sky was black yet at a distant its filled with little shiny bright stars. During the coming of Imam Mehdi, there was a bright light, something like laser shooting from the skies that points from the West then moved slowly to the East and hence the coming of the Imam.. YET both images or faces are not visible, it is just bright lights.

Alhamdulillah, it is showing the signs of the Last Days with the advent of Imam Mahdi (a.s.) and the Messih ad-Dajjal as predicted by the Holy Prophet (s) 1400 years ago.  The bright stars show believers who are few in times of darkness, but after patiently persevering will be rewarded.  As the Prophet (s) said: “Waiting for an opening is (an act of) worship”. Intizar al-faraji `ibada.  And Allah knows best.
