Woman’s Right over Property

Question:

As-salaam Alaikum Ya Seyyidi

Masha Allah, the site is a great source of Information and I am Hopeful Insha Allah will ask many more brothers and sisters to help donate some amount for the development of the site.

I have a question regarding the right of a woman over the property of her husband and father. Can I get some relevant Quranic verses regarding the same?
Kissing your hands,
Salaam Alaikum

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

A Muslim has no right by birth in the property of his father while he is alive. A wife has no right just by being wife in the property of her husband while he is alive. The concept of ancestral property or joint family property does not exist in Islam. On the other hand, her dowry belongs to her and cannot be touched by her husband, and she inherits in a proportion specified in Shari`ah from her father or husband upon their decease.

On Invocation

Question:

Is invocation (du`a) permitted during the prayers (salat), before or after salat?

Answer:

Many invocations have been attribute to the Prophet (s). Some are made during salat, some after salat and some of them before salat.

The Prophet (s) use to recite an invocation, a prayer,  between the takbirat al-ahram (first pronunciation of “Allahu akbar!” to initiate salat) and recitation of al-Fatiha, either:

wajahtu wajheea li-latee fatara as-samawati wal-ardi baneefan musliman wa ma ana min al-mushrikeen,” (“I set my face towards the One who create the heavens and the earth, as an upright person who has surrendered (to Allah), and I am not one of the idolaters,”) or “subhanaka allahuma wa bi-hamdika wa tabaraka ismuka wa ta`ala jadduka wa la ilaha ghayruka,” (“Glory be to ye 0 Allah, and to You is all praise, and blessed is Your Name and exalted is Your Majesty and there is none to worship besides You.”) Between the bowing (ruku`) and standing, after “sam`i allahu liman hamida” he used to say “rabbana laka al-hamd mila as-samawati wa mil al-arda wa mila ma baynahuma wa mila ma shi’ta min shayin baa.” (“Our Lord, to You belongs all Praise, filling the skies, filling the earth and filling whatever is between them, and filling whatever else You willed other than them”).

The Prophet (s) said, “the nearest that a servant is to his Lord is during prostration (sajda), so invoke Allah much in it.” And he used to recite the following du ‘a:

allahuma laka sajadtu wa bika amantu wa laka aslamtu sajada wajhee lil-ladhee khalaqahu wa sawwarahu wa shaqqa sam`abu wa basarah,” (“0 Allah, to You I prostrated and in You I placed my trust and to You I have submitted. I prostrated my face to the One who created it and fashioned it and gave it its hearing and sight.”) After salat the Prophet (s) used to invoke Allah saying, “Allabum a`inee `ala dhikrika wa shukrika wa husna `ibadatik,” (“0 Allah, support me in maintaining Your remembrance, in thanking You and in the best way of worshipping You”). He then made istighifar three times (“istagfirullah” – ” “0 Allah forgive me”) and then said, “allahuma anta as-salam wa minka as-salam tabarakta wa ta`layta ya dhal Jalali wal-ikram,” (” 0 Allah, You are Flawless, and from you comes all peace, blessed and exalted art Thou 0 Lord of Majesty and Generosity.”)

Dream: In Cyprus

Dream:

Aslamu Alaykum,

I had a dream I was in Cyprus it was my last day I was waiting to meet Maulana Sheikh Hisham, they were in a room and people were going to meet them I was with family but I was going to meet them alone. A little girl was going to take me. I was crying so much and I said to the girl “when I meet Maulana will that black mark go from my heart, soul and body”? She said yes and I said “will all my sins be forgiven?” She said yes, then my family said we’re going home now and I got very upset then my mother said that Maulana Sheikh Hisham said I’m going to stay another week but my family will go back then I woke up

Interpretation:

Bismil’lahi’r’Rahmani’r’Raheem

wa `alaykum salam,

This dream can mean that your family is slowing down your spiritual progress, but your success will come with patience and the spiritual support of Mawlana Shaykh Hisham, who represents Sultan al-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Nazim. Make often the du`a of , “wa ufawidu amree ila ‘Llah inn ‘Llaha baseerun bil `ibaad – My (own) affair I commit to Allah. for Allah (ever) watches over His Servants.” (al-Ghafir, 40:44)

And Allah knows best.

Prayer Request: Repeating Sins…

Request:

Assalamualakum,

1. What happens if you go back to the sin after repentance?
2. Will your earlier Duaa Still be accepted?
3. Are you still forgiven for the past times you did the sin?
4. What about a person who keeps sinning (masturbation) the same sin and then repenting, wouldn’t this lead to no point saying he is forgiven for it?
5. What do you have to do after committing the same sin again?

Please help.
These questions should help the brother and us too increasing our knowledge

Response:

Wa`alaikumussalam,

Insha Allah, Mawlana Shaykh Hisham will pray for for person concerned. Recite Istighfar 300 times and give some Sadaqah daily. Insha Allah, some changes shall come.

Dream: Taweez in the Sky

Dream:

Auzubillahi minushaytaanir rajeem…. Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
Assalam o Alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu Ya Sayyidi, Ya Hajjah
Family and eshaykh staffs

In my dream, I looked out of the window and saw a flash of bright light. Soon after, red drops of light fell form the sky. I then remembered what Sultan Awliah Mawlana Shaykh Nazim Al-Haqqani(qs) said and gathered my family to take wudu and pray 2 rakaats.

Later on, when I looked up to the sky again, to my amazement, I saw Grand Shaykh’s Taweez. The Taweez was aligned with a ball of Arabic wordings (similar to the Taweez) and the Moon. It was beautiful.

My aunt saw the same sight in the sky(who is not in tariqat) and wanted to take the bayat.

Please pray for my family and I, Ya Sayyidi. We love you very much.

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

This dream indicates war and dissension falling like rain and the only protection from these, as Mawlana Sultan al-Awliya Shaykh Nazim Adil al-Haqqani has explained is to be constant on wudu and to cling to one’s prayer carpet.

The appearance of Grandshaykh `Abdullah al-Fa’iz ad-Daghestani’s (q) tawiz in the sky means the clear and evident manifestation of Grandshaykh’s power, through his Calipha Sayyidina Shaykh Nazim, like the moon, which represents the Caliph of the Prophet (s), Sayyidina al-Mahdi (as), so much so that many who had not joined this Distinguished Sufi Way will do so, convinced of its efficacy by these evident signs.

And Allah knows best,

Dream: Seeing Mawlana

Dream:

Asalaam u alaikum,

I saw a dream last night in which i saw Mawlana looking so beautiful wearing a green turban and a lot of people around them wearing white clothes. I met Mawlana because I cried for help towards them and I kissed their hands, but then after everyone was greeting them it was my turn to tell them my problems. I was just about to greet them again and speak to them about my problem and my dad burst out of nowhere with a man and interrupted me and I was not able to speak to Mawlana about my problem. My problem was about marriage, I want to marry this girl.  I was going to ask Mawlana in my dream to break the boundaries and make her dad say to her you can marry a Pakistani and that she chooses me and after my dad interrupts i woke up!

Interpretation:

Bismill’lahir’Rahmanir’Raheem:

wa `alaykum salam,
This dream can mean that your father wanted to save you from something. Try to know if the girl loves you first, if yes then ask the shaykh.

And Allah knows best.

QURAN

Question:

SELAMUNALEYKUM,
WHICH TRANSLATION OF QURAN COULD BE MOST TRUSTABLE?
( IN ENGLISH)
THANK YOU

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Yusuf Ali’s is good, as is Dawud Asad’s, and both contain useful commentaries.  However to get full benefit in understanding, you must go to original commentaries. That is typically only possible to through a teacher. [see Shaykh Hisham’s excellent tafsirs.]

Khatm Al Khawajakan on Individual Basis

Question:

As-salamu `alaykum Mawlana Shaykh Hisham and TEAM:
Since Mawlana Shaykh Nazim had given me permission to initiate a new circle of dhikr in Cairo, our circle has been growing gradually, alhamdulelah, with very serious and keen sisters. As a result, sometimes more than one sister had asked me if she could read Khatm Al Khawajakan at home alone. It is not that they don’t want to attend the group khatm. It seems to me, they would like to read it alone at home as if it were a wird or a chapter of Qur’an. Personally I think that would be good as long as it does not stop them from attending the group dhikr. Please advise. May Allah bless you.

Answer:

Wa`alaykumussalam,
It is fine as long as that is the intention. There are many who recite the Khatm at home for Barakah.
