♠Migraines after dhikr

Question:

As Salam Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu.

Peace and blessings be upon you.

I have been noticing that on several occasions after I attend dhikr (and once after our son’s wedding) I go to bed feeling well and light and then at some point in the early morning hours I wake up with a very intense migraine and nausea. Often it is so painful I can hardly sit to pray. I am wondering why this might be happening and what I can do to prevent it. It has probably happened about 7 times in the past 3 months. I’ve also noticed that if I have a headache when I go to Dhikr it will often dissipate during the Dhikr and I will feel much better.

Alaykum salam,
Drink water before bed. When feeling migraine gently recite the words of adhan lying down.

Seeing sheikh eyes closed

Question:

Salam aleykoum wa rahmatullah wa barakatouh.

O sheikh, I lead a khatm today and suddenly during zikr, I saw myself “enveloped” into mawlana sheikh Nazim and then mawlana sheikh Hisham. And during the “Allah” part, I heard like many people saying Allah and while having eyes closed, saw people doing the naqshbandi hadra.
I tried to speak about a suhba with my brothers after, but I ended up into making a speech alone and I’m afraid I did let my ego speak and misinterpreted things. The other people are not mawlana murid yet and are discovering sufism, though seem very receptive.

What should I do, and is all this from my nafs trying to make me believe I reached something I didn’t? It’s not the first time I see people and mawlana closing my eyes during khatm but this time was particularly strong.

Continue but just make istighfar when you fear ego is acting up. You may
open one of Mawlana’s book and read from there.

Dream: Money, thief, and someone from the past

Dream:

Salam! Today, that is the friday, I got a dream. In the dream my elder sister gives me money in the parking lot. And she leaves. While I keep the money some ordinary fair person in a thobe (the Saudi dress) picks a note from it and attempts to run away. So I run after him and punch him several times and scream so that people come to help. And it goes that way. Also in the dream me and my brothers were traveling in a car where behind my seat, a person who claims to love me fo life (which I don’t care about) was sitting quietly throughout the ride. And the journey was sometimes very bumpy or smooth. Jazakallah!

Interpretation:

Alaykum salam,
Dream points to dunya attachments, as a counsel to increase your dhikr and reflect more on Akhira.

Prayer Request: Prayer to regain trust and love

Request:

Assalamu-alaikum.

I love a person very much. We were in a relationship for a long time. But i did a grave mistake, I went out with some other guy without telling him. Plainly speaking, I cheated on him. Eventually he came to know about it and now he cant forget about it and cant forgive me for that. I m very ashamed of what i did, and I ask Allah for forgiveness every moment. I always pray to Allah to calm his heart and also bring back the love and confidence he had for me. I want him to forgive me and accept me again wholeheartedly.
So please, would you tell about some prayer through which I shall be able to win back his heart and he will be ready to marry me.

Response:

wa `alaykum salam,

It is written in the books that if unmanageable impediments are obstructing your marriage write the following verses (Taahaa: 131, 132) with saffron and keep it on the body. Inshallah all hindrances will disappear.

وَلاَ تَمُدَّنَّ عَيْنَيْكَ اِلٰى مَا مَتَّعْنَا بِهٖ اَزْوَاجًا مِّنْهُمْ زَهْرَةَ الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا، لِنَفْتِنَهُمْ فِيْهِ، وَرِزْقُ رَبِّكَ خَيْرٌ وَّ اَبْقٰى. وَاْمُرْ اَهْلَكَ بِالصَّلٰوةِ وَاصْطَبِرْ عَلَيْهَا، لاَ نَسْئَلُكَ رِزْقًا، نَحْنُ نَرْزُقُكَ، وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلتَّقْوٰى.

wa laa tamuddanna a’ynayka elaa maa matta’naa behi azwaajam minhum zahratal hayaatid dunyaa, le naftenahum feehe, wa rizqo rabbeka khayruwn wa abqaa. waamur ahlaka bis-salaate was’t’abir a’layhaa laa nas-aloka rizqaa nah’no narzoqok wal a’aqebato littaqwaa.

Do not strain your eyes towards that which we have given for enjoyment to parties (wedded pairs) of them, the splendor of the life of this world, so that we may try them in it. The provision of your lord is better and more lasting. Enjoin prayer (salat) on your followers, and adhere steadily to it, we do not ask you to provide (subsistence), (it is) We who give you subsistence; and (the good of) the hereafter is for those who safeguard themselves against evil with full awareness of divine laws.

Wear Plain-Red Cloth

Is it haram for woman (and/or man) to wear red clothes?

May Allah always protect you, give you more knowledge and raise your level even higher.

wa `alaykum salam,

It was reported that wearing pure red is forbidden for men (Hanafi and Hanbali scholars), but not for women.

Terminal illness

Question:

Asalaam Alykum,
My non-Muslim (Catholic) friend was yesterday told her Cancer has come back and spread to other organs and she cannot get better. I am trying my best to console her and her children. She is a very good friend to me and I hold her very dear to my heart. I advise her to keep her faith in the Creator,What can I do as her Muslim friend, I would like to give sadaqah in her name is this permissible? Is there anything else I can do in terms of prayers in the hope it will benefit her soul in the afterlife or here but also for the well-being of her family to provide them the strength and patience in managing this episode of their lives.

Answer:
wa `alaykum salam,
It is not prohibited to pray or give sadaqah for your non-Muslim friend to be cured or to ease her pain and suffering etc. You can pray to Allah for her hidaya (guidance) to Islam. However, the only thing you cannot pray for is forgiveness for a disbeliever.

Dream: Dead relatives

Dream:

Assalamu Alaykum.
My aunty saw dream about dead women who were her relatives. She saw couple of times this type of dream. Only dead women came in her dream. Once she saw her cousin’s sister who died in her dream. She said my aunty to come here and sit with me. She can’t remember her dream.

Interpretation:

This means that she will have a long life.

Dream: Sand Storm

Dream:

I’m walking along the seaside in water bare feet. I see friend she comes sits I am playing with the water with feet. It’s clean I can see the bottom of the sea. Friend says to me the water is dirty stop playing. I look at her in shock and say there’s nothing wrong with it. I get up walk bare feet and I realize I walking on sand. It’s shiny I keep walking wherever my feet are wet sand covers. I see on my left a sand storm coming up as a tornado. I look on my right I say to friend come here she looks at me as though she’s deaf and doesn’t understand. I see hole in ground where we hide. I call her but she doesn’t listen so I run and hide myself. She is still standing there and the storm is heading her way.

Interpretation:
The ocean means the government . You are warning people how to deal with the government and the paperwork that comes from them.

Dream: Gold jewelry

In my dream I saw myself in a beautiful place or garden full of glittering and sparkling real gold jewelry and I was being shown by a man all this beautiful gold bangles, necklaces, rings everywhere.

Interpretation:
You will make friendship with someone who you will benefit greatly from.
