Mas’alat al-Walidayn

Assalamu alaykum Sayyidi,

I have attached a word document with a quote from Ibn Kathir’s seerah regarding the noble parents of Rasulullahu sallallahu alayhi wa sallam. I have a few questions regarding this and mas’alat najaat al-walidayn (radiyAllahu anhuhuma):

1- In light of Barzanji/Suhayli’s statements that calling the parents mushrik is considered as idhaa al-Nabi (alayhi afdal us-salawat), and Qadi Abu Bakr ibn al-Arabi’s saying about such a person la’anahu-Allah; this, even if we were to take the position that they died on shirk wal ‘iyadhu billah.

idhaa al-nabi is tantamount to kufr…Where does this leave Mulla Ali al-Qari, Ibn Kathir and the statement of al-Bayhaqi (in the attachment).?

2- Suyuti says the jumhur were qaa’iloon of najaat and some ulama chose to be silent on the issue…What is the hukm of those who attributed shirk and perdition to the noble parents? (both, Suyuti in his fataawa and Barzanji in sadaad ud-deen say that their najaat is established by qati’yaat).

JazakAllah khayr for your response. A final question regarding this to help me understand inshaAllah: Can idhaa al-Nabi (sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) be validated by ijtihad?

E.g., one can state that the walidayn are mushrik in accordance with his ijtihad and be spared from being from those who yu’dhoona-Allaha wa Rasulah? And further to ijtihad, what about those ulama who took pride in their research and ijtihad in this mas’ala as the ‘ibara of Mulla Ali al-Qari indicates in Sharh al-Shifa. Again, may Allah reward you for clarifying this issue for me.

Most importantly for me, how do we deal with people who speak about this matter following the ijtihad of al-Qari. I assume following the mujtahid in this is valid. Do we then have any grounds to object against salafis when they bring up this mas’ala and state the ijtihad of the ulama?
Ma’as salamah

Answer:

`Alaykum as-Salam,

As I said before this issue is all ijtihad, which by definition presupposes non-qat`i status; secondly this issue is the province of the `Ulema and is not even part of obligatory knowledge in the Religion.

It is yet another misguided innovation of that sect to propagate this issue for the general public – as they have done with several other non-obligatory issues – and it is a big mistake and spiritual loss for other non-ulema to reply back to them as the latter cannot help applying either/or judgments on the particular scholars being cited when (i) they should refer back to the larger throng of the scholars and (ii) they should be more concerned about themselves and their religious obligations.

{O ye who believe! Be steadfast witnesses for Allah in equity, and let not hatred of any people seduce you that ye deal not justly. Deal justly, that is nearer to your duty. Observe your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is Informed of what ye do} Surat al-Ma’idah 5:8

It is not idhaa al-Nabi for qualified scholars to practice ijtihad under the umbrella of the Prophetic hadith: “If the mujtahid is right he has two rewards, if not, then one reward.” However, it is idhaa al-Nabi for non-scholars to attack scholars in the guise of defending his honor, upon him blessings and peace. That is because the scholars as a rule are careful to tread the path of legal evidence, lawful language, and ta`abbud i.e. the intention of worshipping Allah Most High through their scholarship which is not the case of non-scholars disputing such issues. And when scholars slip, other scholars can address that. As for ourselves we resign that knowledge and all judgment to Allah Most High and we ask Him for a good deed and a Believer’s khatima.

Dream: Me, a woman, and the Kaaba

Dream:

Assalam-O-Alaikum Sheikh,
I saw a dream a few years back. I remember before sleeping I asked Allah to show me my wife. I’m not sure if asking something of this nature is permissible or not. Nonetheless, I saw a dream. The dream is as follows: I saw myself standing, facing a woman. She was wearing the hijab. I had a beard (I have a beard now too). She seemed to be shorter than me, and we were both gazing into each other’s eyes. She had a face full of noor, and it seemed almost perfect. And when I saw her face, I felt a sense of peace/sakinah in my heart at that very moment. And behind us was the Ka’aba. Needless to say, I’m not married. Please enlighten me as to what this dream meant, if it is indeed from Allah.

JazakAllahKhair.

May Allah surround you with His Mercy.

W’Salam

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

wa `alaykum salam,

Insha-Allah it is a true dream, and you and your wife will be blessed with real faith, servanthood, and heavenly lights.  Ask Allah to make your way to meeting her and marriage easier by the following du`a taught by Prophet Muhammad (s):

Dream: Walking towards the sea

Dream:

Assalamu Alaykum!

May Allah(S.W.T) bless our Master Sultan-ul-Awliya(q) and Give our shaykh long life and good health Aameen.

Someone I know saw in her dream that “she is at the sea and in darkness and her hands are full of sand. She is walking towards the sea and as soon as her feet touches the sea, she heard a voice from behind. Someone is telling her not to go there and when she looked back, she saw it was me who was stopping her from going towards the sea and I was also looking sad and worried.”

Thank You

Interpretation:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

wa `alaykum salam,

The hands full of sand show her attachment to the materialistic life.  In darkness, clinging to dunya, and without a guide she cannot traverse the sea.  With an authorized murshid like His Eminence Mawlana Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani she may be steered through troubled waters to reach her goal.

Prayer Request: Challenges most of my life

Request:

Assalam o Alaykum wr wb shaykh Hasim

I have been facing  alot of obstacles all my life put in my way by people’s spells etc. I also face everyday argument with my sister which makes me depressed. I don’t like it if she argues with anyone in the family so I find myself always in the middle and I think I have had enough. Is there anything you can suggest, a prayer or a way to understand her better in order to stop the arguments? Because it is everyday over nothing. I feel even if I do the awrad, it is spoilt as I always have to argue back, and if I ignore her then I find myself talking myself to sleep or sometimes cannot sleep, as I know she also curses when she argues

Response:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

wa `alaykum salam,

The Prophet (s) said: Arguing extinguishes the light of the heart. Don’t argue back, submit to Allah’s Will and pray for yourself and herself.

Dream: End of the world

Dream:

Bismillah irahman iraheem
I saw the moon as if it was on fire, then comets started falling from the sky. We went to hide. Then I saw lions made from fire chasing people, everyone was very scared, we went to hide in a bigger place. The lions made of fire came one of them grab my arm. I could see that they had firey lion heads but human bodies, he looked at me and said, “you’re ok”.  I started praying and thanking Allah then I woke.

Interpretation:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

salam `alaykum,

Insha-Allah you will be safe when there is no safety on earth.

Dream: Where is the Imam

Dream:

Assalam o alaikum,

My name is [private]. I had the honor of visiting you awhile back. A few months after the visit, I had a dream. In it, you finished leading the prayers and all the other people including myself were sitting, not directly behind you but everyone was at some distance. In the dream I was sitting behind you, but at a distance as well. Then you turned around and said, “where is the imam?”.
Can you explain to me what this means? Also, it is difficult for me to focus to things, whether it is studies or trying to meditate. Can you give me any suggestions that might help me? Jazakhallah.

Interpretation:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

wa `alaykum salam,

Mawlana Shaykh is not seeing himself as Imam even though he just led the prayers in your dream.  The real Imam is Mahdi (a.s.), calling your attention to the importance of believing in and expecting his appearance.  To keep your focus make wudu, pray 2 raka`ats and ask support in whatever you are doing, insha-Allah you will be successful.  And Allah knows best.

Virtuous Circle

Question:

Corruption has infected this nation. Generation of leaders are involved in this deceitful actions. It is truly vicious/iblis circle. It seems no one can get out of the circle. Iblis is the real enemy of mankid, but we can only put up a defensive stance.
We are in contact with Mawlana Shaykh Nazim in three occasions, i.e. khawajagan, muraqabah, shalat najad. It is as if Mawlana inspired in me that we should create a virtuous/khair circle, with Mawlana as the center of the circle, since he has the support from Heaven. And the rest of us will maintain contact with Mawlana all the time. This way all the mureeds and followers of Mawlana can learn by doing of becoming shalihin. And at the same time, our defense against ibls is strengthened. And each of us representing the whole circle, thus give good impact on surrounding. Can we do that?

Answer:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

wa `alaykum salam,

Try to make the circle of goodness come over you and  then expand it to your family.  Don’t forget the biggest enemy which is the ego or self between our two sides.

Dream: Jesus(saw) was sent to hell to count dinosaur bones

Dream:

I end up siting next to Shaykh Nazim his left side of him. al salam was mentioned, then Shaykh said something about Jesus (saw) was sent to hell to count dinosaur bones. Then Shaykh Nasim gave a gold and silver ring to a girl I know/knew name Katherine, and I think I ask her to marry me and she said “anything you want”. My young brother Anthony was there and asked about money and I was talking about people sharing, and that someone was looking for the ring Shaykh gave Katherine. and that said something about shaykh was right about the ring, My bad if that was to rambling the dream seemed very detail to me, salam some other stuff happen too, to long to mention, salam

Interpretation:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

wa `alaykum salam,

Dinosaur bones indicate the end of the age of tyrants and the return of spirituality on earth.  Mawlana Shaykh Nazim has been distinguished among all shaykhs in being the foremost in describing and preparing people for the advent of  Sayyidina`Isa (a.s.) and before him Imam Mahdi (a.s.).  Insha-Allah Mawlana is passing spiritual knowledge to the girl.  See if she is suitable for marriage as you asked her in the dream.  Your brother should be careful of being involved too much in dunya or questionable matters. And Allah knows best.
