Dream: Dog Urinating on Us

Dream:

Salaam,
In my dream I was at a sisters house, and large dog was urinating on myself, and my two sisters. The urine touched my hand and covered my sisters house. A nephew who lives in the house, attempted to fight the dog and he said ‘stop trying to hurt my family’.

May Allah bless you, and please make dua for all of us, Inshallah.

Interpretation:

Alaykum Salam,
It represents slander (ghiba) and exposure of people in a way forbidden by Allah Most High and His Prophet, upon him blessings and peace.

Dream: A Man that I Like

Dream:

s.a
I dreamed that i visited a house where lives a one man that i like a lot. His mother was very nice with me. The  night before this dream I had a dream about this same man where he stands in his profile side his face was in the dark like he feels sorry for something and near him were a few persons with masks on their faces. We have regular communication as colleagues from university for now we are just communicating on internet. Thank you for your time.

Interpretation:

a`udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem
Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem:

wa `alaykum salam,
This can mean that these persons with masks are hypocrites that are hiding their true identity therefore his face is in the dark, you are going to help him uncover their masks. And Allah knows best.

Question about Seeing Good Dreams

Question:

AsalaamoAlaikum,

I saw a dream, a good dream, and I wanted to ask someone its meaning. However, I am worried that if I ask someone about this, or tell someone about this, that it may not come true or happen. Please can you let me know if it is ok to ask someone/you about this?
JazakhAllah Khair.

Answer:

wa `alaykum as-salaamu wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

It is better not to ask because the ego likes to express the good dream in front of others and this gives it arrogance which is wrong. Also, if the dream was nice and you express in front of people they get jealous. However if a dream is disturbing you, and you want to get an understanding of its meaning, don’t mention it to anyone but the person who has knowledge of dreams and their interpretation.

Women as Leaders

Question:

I have questions about women’s role in Islam.

1. Why are women not allowed to lead Salat?
2. Why are women not allowed to lead Jumah?
3. Why women can’t lead other women in Salat?

I am starting to feel like women have no place in Islam except to clean, cook, raise children, and please their husbands. I despise that feeling. Islam is such a beautiful way of life. I just do not like the limitations being set upon the women…

Answer:

1. Women are allowed to lead Salat in all four schools.
2. The Prophet legislated Jumua for men and there is no precedent of
women leading it except one or two marginal episodes. Nor is such salat
valid by consensus.
3. Women can certainly lead other women in Salat.
4. Please read up on the abundant literature on the historical
contribution of women in Islam bedore making such facile judgments.

Dream: Shoes & Rain

Dream:

Auzobillahi minushaytaanir rajeem
Bismillahir Rehmanir Raheem:

Assalam o Alaikum wa rehmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

I saw in my dream that I was near any lake or may be river. I took off my shoes there and I start walking on sand. When I came back to the place where I took off my shoes I assumed that they are not in their place. I start searching for them and in this quest I came to the road side and rain starts. I saw my shoes on the other side of the road. I rushed towards my shoes and my mother said, “don’t run” because a big bus was also coming this way. I hardly saved my self to be struck by the bus and I take my shoes and run back towards my mother and wear them.
Jazakallah hu khair
Sallams

Interpretation:

a`udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem
Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem:

wa `alaykum salam,

قَالَ ذَلِكَ مَا كُنَّا نَبْغِ فَارْتَدَّا عَلَى آثَارِهِمَا قَصَصًا

18:64 Moses said: “That was what we were seeking after:” So they went back on their footsteps, following (the path they had come).

Your two shoes here represent the inner and outward aspects of Islamic knowledge which are necessary in the lives of every Muslim. Without your shoes you were lost and fell into danger. Keep your inner spirituality and outward practice as consistent and balanced as you can and seek a balanced guide who can point you in the right direction, as Allah sent Musa (as) to Khidr (as).

فَوَجَدَا عَبْدًا مِّنْ عِبَادِنَا آتَيْنَاهُ رَحْمَةً مِنْ عِندِنَا وَعَلَّمْنَاهُ مِن لَّدُنَّا عِلْمًا

18:65 So they found one of Our servants, on whom We had bestowed Mercy from Ourselves and whom We had taught knowledge from Our own Presence.

He showed us a grave says here that I was telling him not Mevlana is still alive. Then our second boy was told to us and showed us where Mevlana in a house. When we arrived, we passed through a room. Then I came to the room where Mevlana was. I took up some stairs to climb in that I saw that there were brothers and sisters from my Dzemata where I belong and we are all a Mevlanin dzemat but otherwise I have repeatedly dreamed of Mawlana Shaykh Hisham his house too. Allah reward you and your family all those who have enabled us to contact you via this site.

Interpretation:

a`udhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem
Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem:

wa `alaykum salam,
Mawlana’s house is his heart which can accommodate all his murids, and finding his house means growing closer to his heart. The boy showing you the grave means Mawlana’s heart is empty of dunya.

I saw Sultan-ul-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Nazim & I sat at his feet & he said either ‘I want you to do seclusion or you do seclusion’, implying in the room I sta. I immediately said ‘yes’ Mawlana’, feeling very happy but worried how my husband would look after our daughter. Turkish brother arrived & asked Sultan Shaykh who I was&  he I owned a software co.out of adab I was silent & didn’t correct him. Sultan asked the brother to continue as I was worried. More brothers came in,but felt safe with Sultan Shaykh. Later I helped Sultan Shaykh down some strange steps, he was on the highest of steps.

Charity & Doing good to others

Question:

My Dear Shaykh Hisham Kabbani,
We live a basic, solitary life with little interaction with others. Is it important to help others? How do I know who to help and what help should I give ? Should I look for people who need help, or should I wait and watch for the opportunity to come to me ?
Thank you so much for all your help.

Answer:

Be open to watch for the opportunity to come to you, and look for people who need help as well. There are some who are in need that may be too shy to look or ask for help.

Weak Iman of Family Members

Question:

AsSalamuAlaykum,

For quite some time I’ve been fearing my close family’s Iman. Some of my family members don’t pray salah regularly, they usually pray Jumuah to Jumuah. And I’m wondering, how can someone who believes in Allah(swt) not pray salah. Also, I don’t see them having a consciousnesses about this issue, they think it is a light matter. Do such people with this type of an attitude have true Iman that will cause them to enter Jannah?

If one of my family members go to hell for sometime, and when they come out, will they be next to me since we are family?

Answer:

Alaykum as-Salam,

The Prophet (upon him blessings and peace) said the difference between unbelief and faith is Salat. He also said the first account we will be asked about in the grave is Salat.

As for the last question, Paradise is countless levels, and the people of the upper levels can visit the lower levels at will, and Allah knows best.
