Response:
`Alaykum as-Salam, Amin, and to you and your family also.
Read Surat al-Balad x7 and give sadaqa for easy delivery in sha Allah. If a boy offer `aqiqah of two goats or sheep. You may name him Hasan or `Abd al-Karim, and ask Allah Most High to make him one of His righteous servants (salihin) and the happiness (qurrat `ayn) of his parents.

Dream:
Assalam o Alaikum wr wb
I had a dream few years before in the month of Ramadan (before I pledged online Bayah with Sheikh Nazim Sahib). I will write the part I remember clearly. I saw that I am in my home looking for my mom like normally I would. Then I reach the roof top and there is a man sitting on a chair. Someone tells me he is Hadhrat Suleman R.A. I couldn’t see his face. He gives me some money and tells me that he is gifting me something with which I can communicate with trees and talk to them. What could this mean? I would like to know please. (One thing I’d like to add is that I had been attracted to trees since my childhood & I somehow get lost whenever I gaze at a tree.)
Interpretation:
Alaykum as-Salam,
Going to the roof in a dream means to become closer to a person in power. Seeing one of the Prophets (upon them peace) signifies a teacher. His gift is a spiritual secret that was passed on to you by Mawlana Shaykh Nazim about the reality of belief (iman), which is mentioned as an excellent tree in the Holy Qur’an.

Dear Mawlana
I have been divorced for a year. My ex-wife does not let me see my 2 young boys. She is not practicing and I fear for my children living in this society without a father. She has made numerous lies against me and my family, so life becomes difficult for me to see my children. I have a few court cases because of her lies. I never wanted custody of my children before as I realize every child needs a mother. But now when I realize the amount of lies and hate she has the affect this has on my children I wonder if I should seek custody to keep the children so I can make them better Muslims?
Sayyadi can you give me something to read so all my problems from court cases, to worry about my children are removed. Please pray for me
JazakAllah

Question:
Asalaamu Aliekum Shaykh Hisham and all who make this site avalible to us.
Is eating sushi or shasimi permitted? Thank you and pray for me.
Answer:
wa `alaykum salam,
Sushi and sashimi is halal as long as there is no additives or condiments that contains anything haram.

Question:
Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem, Salaatuk was Salaamu alayka Sayidina RasoolUllah.
As-Salaamu alaiykum,
I have recently submitted a university group assignment. One group member provided a copy of the exact same assignment by a senior student. We did not copy the work but did use it to help with calculations and for direction, re-writing. Does this effect the lawfulness of the income I will earn from this degree? Is it halal to do what we did? Can we say since the university is not supportive, we are caused to do this? Should I let the lecturing staff know about it?
Thank you.
Ma Salaam.
Answer:
wa `alaykum salam,
Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,
Looking back, probably you should have consulted your lecturer before starting the project to make sure what you are doing is acceptable. The best judge of our deeds are ourselves. If your conscience is clear that you have no intention of breaking any rules, then , I would say you have nothing to worry about.
Allah knows best.

Dream:
AssalamuAlaykum
I am an unmarried woman who has made Istikhara regarding a guy that I like, although I had the dream a few nights after having done Istikhara:
I dreamt that I’d come home from hospital after having a baby carrying a beautiful little baby girl. On my right was a little boy (about 2 years old) who in my dream is my son with a guy I am currently in love with. The girl, though is another guy’s child (someone I don’t know).
The ‘other guy’ happens to have very pale hair with black ends – I then remove the cap on the baby’s head and she has pitch black hair with blonde/white ends.
I remember thinking in the dream: “What will my family think having 2 children from two white guys”
Does this dream have any relevance to the Istikhara at all? If so, kindly explain.
Shukran

Seeing the two year old baby son from the man is a good sign for the istikhara. The baby girl shows a rizq coming from a stranger or sources that are unknown to you (now).

Dream:
Asalam u alaykum,
I have been driving since 2009 on and off and recently did istahara. On the first day I saw white rice with green cucumber on them. On the second I saw black shoes, third, something silver, fourth black. I did not do the rest of the days as I was confused. My theory test will expire next year and I don’t want to be wasting any more money.. hope you can help me out, as I am in two minds.

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,
wa `alaykum salam,
The istikhara is mixed. Keep an open mind to either option and see what opens in your heart between now and your renewal deadline. If you are not seeing a need for it by then, then it is alright not to renew. Wa’Allahu a`lam.
