Representative of Shaykh Nazim

Question:

Aslamualaykum

I hope you can clarify t his matter for the local community in [private] as it has caused us much confusion.

My question is regarding Shaykh [private]  who lives at [private], where he also leads dhikr.

He says that Mawlana Shaykh Nazim deputed him for the whole world. However some people do not agree with this. They say that he has jinns and is a magician and advise people not to go to him. What makes this more confusing is that these people are Naqshabandi as well.

Is he an authorized representative and has he reached a state of sainthood?

May Allah reward you for your efforts and unite the ummah.

Wassalaam

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

If he really says that Mawlana Shaykh Nazim “deputed him for the whole world” then run away from him. If he did not say that, then listen to your heart.

Dream: Sheikh Hisham Open a School

Dream:

assalam alleikum wrwb,

I had a dream where I saw Sheikh Hisham telling me to wait because he’ll be opening a school. If I can understand the meaning. Thank you.

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

It means be patient with the current state of affairs and continue to fight your nafs and be patient doing so, until the help of Allah (swt) arrives, in the form of the training and discipline that Shaykh Hisham will establish in the affairs of the Most Distinguished Naqshbandi Tariqah and in the lives of its followers.  And Allah knows best.

Who is the new Shaykh of the Golden Chain?

Question:

Assalamu Alaykum.

Like everyone, I am deeply saddened by the loss of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (q).

Out of respect for him, I am enquiring to find out with which physically living Shaykh my baya and rabita should lie.

Who is Mawlana’s inheritor, and the 41st Shaykh in the Golden Chain? And who are the khalifas of the new Shaykh?

I would respectfully request an answer as soon as possible, so I may know how to proceed.

Thank you. Wasalam.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

As Mawlana Shaykh Hisham, one of the three duly appointed caliphs of Mawlana Sultan al-Awliya Shaykh Nazim Adil al-Haqqani, said:

The Secret of the Naqshbandi Tariqah is in the Hands of Shah-i-Mardaan…

So Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (q) called on Shah-i-Mardaan and kept calling on Shah-i-Mardaan, and he said, “I am pulling up the secret of the Naqshbandi Order and I am giving it to you (Sayyidina `Ali)! This is your job, you are handling it!” as Grandshaykh `AbdAllah said, “When the shaykh of a Tariqah leaves dunya, he gives to Sayyidina `Ali (r) and Sayyidina al-Mahdi (a).”

And so now all tariqahs are on hold, in the hands of Sayyidina `Ali (r) and Sayyidina al-Mahdi (a) except for the Naqshbandi Order, it is still dripping. But before leaving dunya, Mawlana Shaykh was giving to the hand of Shah-i-Mardaan, to take it in his hands! That is a secret, that giving to Shah-i-Mardaan! That is a secret that Mawlana Shaykh (q) sent, to understand what is the meaning of calling on Shah-i-Mardaan. It cannot be passed in a half minute video clip! That secret has already been passed from Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Adil (q) to Sayyidina al-Mahdi (s) and to Shah-i-Mardaan, but it takes time.

So that is carrying the whole burden of this world and the burden of every mureed on their shoulders. That is the passing of power, which takes time. So Mawlana Shaykh was passing that power every Fajr prayer to Shah-i-Mardaan, saying, “I am ready for you,” and as soon as he says, “Yaa Shah-i-Mardaan!” Sayyidina `Ali (r) appears and takes from him, takes from him. Mawlana Shaykh did not leave dunya until he gave every single mureed one-by-one to Sayyidina `Ali (r) and to Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r), from these two sides, before he left dunya! That is why Tariqat an-Naqshbandiyya al-`Aliyya or Nazimiyya is there now on the lowest gear, the lowest acceleration, until Signs of Last Days appear more and the appearance of Sayyidina Mahdi (a). Then it will boom up and will be boosted up to cover this whole dunya and mureeds of Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Nazim Adil (q) will be like stars on a dark night. Now it is slowly; no Sultan al-Awliya, but Sultan al-Awliya now is Shah-i-Mardaan.

بَلْ أَحْيَاء عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ

{No, they live, finding their sustenance in the Presence of their Lord.} (Surat `Ali Imraan, 3:169)

For sure, they are living in the presence of their Lord, being provided for. Provided with what? Provided with what they like to give to Ummat an-Nabi (s) and the followers of Tariqah; they are waiting to give at any moment. So they are able to come from Hayyaat al-Barzakh, the life in the time between the grave and Resurrection Day, the Interlife, and their spirits are free.

The caliphs representing Mawlana Shaykh Nazim remain the same as in his life, Mawlana Shaykh Adnan Kabbani, Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabbani and Mawlana Shaykh Mehmet Adil. Rabita continues to Mawlana Shaykh Nazim.

Beloved Shaykh (Q)

Question:

AOA,

I was wondering if MSN (Q) is still our beloved Shaykh? Can we still do rabita/meditation towards him? Are we still his mureeds and is he still our teacher? Please let me know, I am quite confused.

Jzk.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Yes, yes and yes. Allah says:

Think not of those who are slain in Allah’s way as dead. Nay, they live, finding their sustenance in the presence of their Lord. (Surat Aali `Imraan, 3:169)

As Mawlana Shaykh Hisham said in a recent suhbat (November 8, 2014): the awliya inherit from Prophet (s) the power of the life of the grave, where the Prophet (s) said:

………………………………………………………….حياتي خير لكم وموتى خير لكم
My life is a great good for you and my death is a great good for you.

Shaykh Hisham explained:

The Prophet (s) said, “My death is better for you than my life.”

Mamaatee khayrun lakum min hayaatee, “My death is better for you than my life,” meaning, “In death, I have more power to reach you.” So Awliya inherit from that hadith they have more power in their grave than in dunya. In dunya there too many dunya events they have to handle but in the grave they are granted hayaatun barzakhiyyun, heavenly life, so with this they can reach us. That is why Prophet (s) said, mamaatee khayran lakum min hayatee and awliya inherit from Prophet (s) in that regard, so their death is better for us than their life in the spiritual meaning.

On “yad” in the Qur’an

Question:

as-salamu `alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

Sayyidi, I wanted to ask you if knew of a reference I can check to see how the `ulama‘ dealt with the possible differences and/or similarities in meaning between the use of “yad” in the following verses:

قَالَ يَـٰٓإِبۡلِيسُ مَا مَنَعَكَ أَن تَسۡجُدَ لِمَا خَلَقۡتُ بِيَدَىَّ‌

and

وَلَمۡ يَرَوۡاْ أَنَّا خَلَقۡنَا لَهُم مِّمَّا عَمِلَتۡ أَيۡدِينَآ أَنۡعَـٰمً۬ا

Usually, the mufassirun seem to indicate that in the former, it is used for tashreef and that Adam (`alayhi al-salam) was created without any means. But I’m trying to understand how the same word is used differently in the second verse for cattle.

barakAllahu feekum,

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

Yad used in the plural in Arabic means qudra, power, or great means. I.e. no other had the power to do that, as in the verse stating they cannot even create the wing of a gnat. In addition, the personal ascription “Our” denotes intensive specialness and exclusive origination.

Al-Baydawi:

Keeping your cell phone while going to the bathroom

Question:

As Salam alaykum Sidi,

Can you go to bathroom with your smartphone that contains Quran and Salawat and photos of Mawlana? Can you help us, Sidi? Thank.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

Audible dhikr/adhan/salawat sound should be disabled inside latrines including phone ringer if it consists in any of that, as any and all of that is makruh in that space. The rest is OK since the data is inside the device and not exposed, just like the tawiz one may be wearing.

And Allah knows best.

I don’t understand

Question:

Salaam,
I have 2 questions. I did Hazrat Dawood (AS) amaal, but within 1 day it seem to me that it backfired. The guy whom I want to marry is saying that his family has almost fixed his marriage but he does not want to marry that woman. I am still wearing dua on my right hand. Did the amaal backfired?

2nd question is that, I did 2 rakat salat thinking of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim guiding me about my marriage with whom I want to marry. I saw I was in the forest and I was following moon reflection. I felt Shaykh Nazim figure in a grey long cloth standing. I was asking him question about my marriage he showed me a high land on top there was a full moon and its light was on that land, a small lake flowing their. I asked him 2nd time, he showed me that high land again. Then my concentration got lost. What does this mean?

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

Wazifa, `amal and duaa are not explosive charges that fire or backfire. If sincere, they are accepted no matter what but not necessarily in the terms we see or want. Give thanks to Allah in any case and move on.

As for the dream, it means your marriage will bring you spiritual progress, fulfillment and wealth in sha Allah. The repetition of the same answer indicates you must be patient.

Khula Nama

Question:

A’Salaam. May Allah be Pleased with You. My question is: I pressured my husband to divorce me. Would this count as khula or divorce. He did not ask for his dowry or any other compensation. In the instance of khula can a woman remarry the same man ?

He sent a final divorce in [private] 2014 and has since contacted me and wants us to be friends. This is difficult as I have feelings for him.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

If three divorces took place you cannot remarry unless you first marry, consummate marriage with, and divorce another man. If only one or two divorces took place then immediate remarriage is possible.

Dream: Silhouette man with a bow

Dream:

This was when I was around 4 years old. There was a circle of people that I was a part of at the top of a mountain. Everyone in the circle had dark faces with no noor coming from them. In the middle of the circle was a man who was filled with noor. It was like a pure white silhouette figure and he was wearing a long white thobe. He was holding a bow and he began to shoot the people around and when he did, they would fall off the mountain. He went all the way round and shot everybody. I was the last remaining and was frightened. When he pointed the bow at me, he put his bow down and approached me and gave me a gift. I was no longer scared but rather I felt compassion resonating from him.

I was wondering who he could be?

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-rahmāni r-rahīm

Wa `alaykumu s-salāmu wa rahmatu l-lāhi wa barakatuh

He was from Awliya’ullah and the dream means that you’re are under their protection and guidance.

And Allah knows best.
