Problem with parent

Question:

My father is unable to make a sound decision (jahil muraqab) but insists on making all the decisions for our family, which are harmful to us. I am approaching my late 30s now and no one is asking for me. He does not fast, does not pray, abuses us, visits magicians and burns their amulets at home. This results in a lot of arguments with him, whereupon, he raises his hands and prays to Allah to inflict punishment & illness on us. Consequently I am suffering from several illnesses. But we have remained obedient and stayed in our family home. MSH gave me several duas to read for this & for marriage, but to no effect. I have reached the limits of my patience now. Please can you advise me on how to protect myself against his bad duas, and ask Maulana to refer my problem to Rasulallah for a solution.

Answer:

Make ghusl, pray 2 rak’as, sit and make muraqaba of your heart toward Rasulullah (s) and follow whatever advice comes to your heart.

Dream: Jumma interrupted

Question:

Asalamualaikum,
I am in Saudi Arabia, last night I saw that I was doing Jumma prayer in a big masjid (look like Haramain). While doing salah the Imam forgot the Qur’anic verses and he stopped the salah. Then outside the masjid people started to fight each other. Actually, I had done isthikhara for changing my job.
What does this mean?

Try to have patience and keep the job until you have something better that is certain for you, not an unknown situation.

Dream: A stranger baby boy

Dream:

I have been doing a lot of dhikr during this Ramadan. Last night I stayed up the whole night to pray and went to sleep after Fajar prayer. I had a dream that a beautiful and healthy boy is given to me by someone( I don’t remember who). The baby’s face and body is covered with back dirt. I immediately overcome with motherly love and hold the baby and wash his face. I was holding and cuddling that beautiful boy and was overwhelmed with that baby’s love. When I woke up my heart felt very sad as if a piece of my heart has been torn from me. I just want to clarify that I have two beautiful children and haven’t been thinking about babies at all that’s why this dream confused me. Please advise.

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

The baby in your dream represents the fruits of your heavenly activities during Ramadan. The dirt on his face shows that you still need to continue polishing your heart with zikrullah until you eliminate all bad manners and characteristics within yourself insh Allah.

Dream: Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi getting married

Dream:

I dreamed that I was in a mosque to hear Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi speak, instead word began to spread that he had gotten married and he came out with a very beautiful blonde Caucasian woman and he was walking side by side with her holding her hand and guiding her like a king would guide a queen in medieval times. He was grinning and blushing with embarrassment. People began to question her as to how she came to know the shaykh and instead of answering she began to introduce people who began telling there stories of how they came to embrace Islam at the hand of Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi, who began crying profusely. What could it mean?

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

It shows that many westerners are entering into Islam through the barakah and the guidance of Sayyid Shaykh Muhammad al Yaqoubi.

Dream: Devil angel or jinn + Teeth falling out

Dream:

Salaam shaykh,

I hope you are well, I have had dreams in the past where my teeth have been falling out, usually more than one and I’m worried in the dream. I had a tooth taken out and its been replaced with a tooth and at times it used to fall out until they stuck it in hard with glue in my mouth. After that it hasn’t fallen out, Masha Allah. However I have dream of it falling out and others falling out with it.

Also was the shaitan a jinn or angel?

Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

Wa `alaykumu s-salāmu wa rahmatu l-lāhi wa barakātuh,

It shows that you will encounter some difficulties. Make sadaqa daily and recite 300x “Hasbuna Allah wa ni’ma al Wakil” as it will keep away problems,insh Allah.

Prayer Request: Istikarah to marry a girl

Please forgive me for my lack of adab. I have asked for istikarah for marriage in the past but these introductions did not work out.

My name is [private] and my mothers name is [private].
I have been introduced to a girl called [private]. Her mothers name is [private].
I needed an urgent istikarah for marriage before I travel to Pakistan.

Could you please ask Mowlana Shaik Nazim whether the istikarah is positive and whether I have permission to marry her?

Sunan Abu Dawud ascribing a place to Allah?

Question:

What is the authenticity of these hadith recorded by Abu Dawud?

Narrated Al-Abbas ibn AbdulMuttalib: [the Apostle said:]… Above the seventh heaven there is a sea… Above that there are eight mountain goats… Then Allah, the Blessed and the Exalted, is above that. (Book #40, Hadith #4705)

Muhammad b. Jubair b. Mut’im said from his father on the authority of his grandfather: … He [the Apostle] said: …His throne is above the heavens thus(indicating with his fingers like a dome over him), and it groans on account of Him as a saddle does because of the rider.

… Abu Dawud said: This tradition with the chain of Ahmad b. Sa’ad is sound. It has been approved by the body (of traditionists) , which includes Yahya b. Ma’in and ‘Ali b. al-Madani, and a group has transmitted it from Ibn Ishaq, as Ahmad also said.

Reciting dua in language other than Arabic

Question:

Assalam Alaikum Shaykh Sahab,

Can we recite Dua of Tawassul in our mother tounge or English as while reciting I don’t even know what I am reciting as I don’t know Arabic. Can we recite ishtikhara in mother tongue also and other duas? Or is it necessary that they are to be recited in Arabic only?
