Confused

Question:

Salaams. I am a 20 year old girl. Two years ago I met someone wif whom there was a mutual interest for another. Only thing is he is 23 years older than me.I am very much in love wif him and he too is wif me. But I am not always very happy in the relationship. He does not treat me well and I don’t feel like I deserve him sometimes. He has spoken to an imaam about possible marriage but he doesn want to do anyfin about finding a stable job. I’m at crossroad, don’t know what to do here?

Prayer Request: Cancer

Request:

We have 7years old son has blood cancer problem and 8years daughter has asthma (breathing problem).
Since last 5year we are facing too much problem and tiring to manage the money and time to sort out these issues.
But now we are not able to solve because of bank and credit card loan more than AED 150,000 and my maximum salary is going to recover this loan and we don’t have money to spend for these issues and keep the family in UAE to continue this treatment and since last 6yrears I didn’t get any promotion and salary increment.
My wife is also trying to get the job but unfortunately didn’t get because of bad time and luck.
Problem: 1) – Treatment, 2) – Education, 3) – Food
In these circumstances we would request you to please pray for us.

daily awrad

I took online baya and started my daily awrad.
1. kindly inform me if i have to do all the items in one sitting, or can I divide them [awrad]?
2. What is the next step, how long should i do this [beginner] awrad for?
3. Will i be informed [via email], what to do next, or should i make contact?

Please see the post by Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani:  Awrad…. If you have a dhikr location near you, you may join them for the Khatm Khawajagan as often as possible for our tariqah is built on association. Check sufilive.com for locations in your area.

The best awrad for you is the one you can do with daily consistently. You  may increase the daily beginner awrad only if you are sure you can perform it everyday without skipping days here and there.

I am a 25 years old girl and need some help about two matters.
1) Salah
2) Health
1) i have trouble with reading namaz and to make it a Habit, i read one or twice, and sometimes i dont read for ages, what can i do to make it more regulary?
Shaykh Hisham, i want to loose weight i have tried everything and i keep failing either because i loose the motivation when i dont see any results what to do , plz help me,

To cut hair

Question:

Assalaam-u-Alaikum i would like to explain before i ask my question…i have thick hair that comes down to my upper thigh. it is hard to wash and it takes about two days to dry if im lucky. i also have carpal tunnel which makes it painful to brush knowing that i also have a very sensitive scalp. my husband does not mind if i cut it as long as i have permission from Mawlana. and of course i cover my head in front of all men except my husband, i even cover in front of my own Father. i have been annoyed by my hair for quite long, so please be so kind as to answer me soon. Feeling cursed

Am I cursed. Why is it that whenever I make dua I always seem to be getting the opposite results. Since very young I have had this very uncomfortable feeling in the right side of my neck and i sometimes wake up shaking because of it. I dont know how to explain it in detail. I am over 40 years now and whenever I meet someone it never works out. I feel so lost and alone and my faith is growing weaker everyday. Please pray for me

What should I do?

I have recently taken a job thinking that it is a good opportunity for me, it turned out that this job has some problems and there is a chance that this department might be restructured and I can lose my position.
I have till november to go back to my previous job which is not as good but is secure. Please guide me whether I should stay on this job or go back. I have young kids so I am scared about uncertain future.

What exactly is Nafs or Ego

Question:

I have read and heard about it a lot and all sorts of people including religious scholors regularly talk about it but I am still not able to understand the real and exact meaning of the words “NAFS” or “EGO”.

Is it the Physical body or the desires of the physical body (but if we are in this world we will have desires and these are from Allah Taala otherwise how can we live and survive here). Or is it something virtual like a “Personality” or “Anger”. Is Nafs or Ego something in addition to the Ruh and the Mind and the Physical body. Is it another name for our “Emotions”.

What exactly is it, and why do we have to fight or subdue or kill or Ego. What is meant by this phrase “kill your ego or conquer your ego”.
