Dream: My deceased father-in-law visiting me

Dream:

Dear Shaykh

Assalamulaikum

Last night I dreamed I had met my father-in-law (Allah yarham) and he was sitting on his favorite rocking chair.

He was very excited and he was going for a trip to Sri Lanka. He was happily showing me his new watch which was green in colour.

Please help me to understand this dream

Thanks and Sallams

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Rahim

As Salaam `alaikum wa rahmatullah,

InshaAllah you father in law has a blessed place in barzakh.  Green watch signifies the freshness he experiences there and that his soul is free to travel.  Sri Lanka is significant as the place where Sayyidina Adam (as) first placed his blessed foot on earth from Paradise.

Dream: Shaykh Nur Muhammad

Dream:

I saw a dream this morning that i saw a card which had two sides, on one side i saw a shaykh with green turban and written on that the shaykh takes all sins of his followers and on the other side it was written Shaykh Nur Muhammad. Is there any real shaykh named Nur Muhammad?

Interpretation:
A`udhu billahi mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Rahim

Wa `alaikum Salaam wa rahmatullah,

What is described in the dream is characteristic of the Naqshbandi Shaykhs.  The 28th Shaykh of the Golden Chain is As Sayyid Nur Muhammad al-Badawani. Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani is his inheritor.  See this link http://naqshbandi.org/chain/names.htm.

Gay family member

Question:

Asalaamu alaykum to beloved Sayyidi and staff at eshaykh,

Recently, I had lunch with some friends and she said one of the family members had admitted to being gay and undergone an operation to make permanent changes. I gave my opinion in regards to what is taught in the HQ, in simple words, (examples of Sayyidina Lut’s (as) community), as to what that friend should do, but something I would like to ask in honesty, so please give advice. I also heard on some ‘Islamic channel’ one scholar saying that sometimes it is not the fault of the child? I am really confused about this. How would we deal with this? Or if that person came to mosque to attend a gathering, how should we react, as we should not be judging anyone? jazakAllah for this site for us to be able to ask real scholars. May Allah swt bless eshaykh. ameen.

Answer:

Islam grants every person dignity and liberty as long as they do not exercise them at the expense of the dignity and liberty of the society at large including unnatural acts whether between couples of the same sex or between unmarried men and women as in the case of fornication and adultery. I believe that a gay person could be healed, therefore he should be advised to look for a competent `Alim/Fattah to read Ruqya (Qur’an) over him.

Dream: Man between the names of Allah

Dream:

asSalamu Aleikum

All appriciation and thanks to Sheikh Hisham for dedicating his time to interpret dreams and answer questions.

I saw a man as if sitting on top of a hill either preoccupied thinking about something or praying, in front of him I saw the name of Allah in arabic and behind him the name of Allah in arabic, around the otherside of the there were shapes that looked like fire flames with one flame reaching over the name of Allah that is behind the person almost touching him.

Interpretation:

You have been shown the reality expressed in Quran “And so, [O Muhammad, say unto them:] “Flee unto God [from all that is false and evil]! Verily, I am a plain warner to you from Him!” (adh-Dharriyat, 51:50). Running to Allah will save us from hellfire.

Dream: S. Isa and the tomb of Prophet

Dream:

As salam alaikoum, beloved shaykhs,

I saw myself sitting on my knees at the door of the maqam of Prophet (s.) in Madina. While reciting the Fatiha, I realised that I was becoming the Fatiha and so did the walls surrounding the room. I was literally absorbed by the walls (since we were sharing the same «Fatiha nature») and I entered the room, still on my knees. At the immediate right of the grave of Prophet, there was a hole in the shape of a grave which was more like a door to another reality. S. Isa (a.s.) came out of that hole, dressed in white. He came very close to me, his knees touching mine. He had his hands full of white wax shavings that he placed into my hands. Then he looked at me in the eyes and he left, returning by his grave.

May Allah bless you.

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

Seeing yourself in such a state at the grave of Prophet Muhammad (s) show you are seeking the nearness and pleasure of Allah, and that your efforts are fruitful. Seeing Sayyidina `Isa (as) in a dream shows your sincerity and compassion towards Allah’s servants. It is also said that seeing Sayyidina `Isa (as) in a dream is protection from calamity for that year.

Dream: Shaykh Hisham wrapped my head

Dream:

salam alaykum
The other day I dreamed Shayk Hisham was in our house in the UK. He was resting in the room and I stood near by him watching him sleep. After he woke up, we served him food and he started eating. After eating 4 sisters were standing before me to go and meet Shek Hisham. They all went 1 by 1 and kissed his hand. When I moved forward next he kissed me on my head and then fed me something with his hands .. some food but can’t remeber what. He then wrapped a green scarf on my head which seemed like a turban cloth I think. After that he started to read somthing on me. My brother then drove him to another person’s house. Please advise…jazakallah

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

You will receive a gift from Mawlana Shaykh Hisham (spiritual benefit). He is looking after you and your family.

Dream: Motorbikers & Mawlana in Bright Colours

Dream:

ASalaam Alaikum Warahmatullahu Wabarakatuhu.
Pray you are well InshaAllah.
Bismillah:
A car with Qawali/sufi music drives past me, my brother and my sister. My brother get in his own car and drives away almost crashing into 2 Motorbikes and 4 bikers. The bikers are dressed in black and are fighting between them but do not bother us. They drive off. We walk past a park and see children and Mureeds playing in the park. For some reason I turn around and see Mawlana Sheikh Nazim walking towards us from a distance. He is wearing a bright multi-coloured coat and vibrant clothing as though he is going to the park too ………….I then woke up because my phone rang.

I would be most grateful if you could tell me what this dream meant.

Shukran

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

The state in which you see Mawlana Shaykh Nazim in a dream, reflects your own state and progress. Mawlana is a perfect mirror which reflects our own reality. Since you have seen him in a beautiful and vibrant state…

Dream: Prophet’s Adhan

Dream:

As Salamu Alaikum

I had a special dream. I was on an old ship in a stormy sea, and there were many people all dancing, making party, drinking, like a discoteque, despite the storm. I was there with them but like an extern. Then I felt the presence of our Great Prophet from my heart and I begun to search for him. I saw a figure form his shoulders, firm in that confusion, that I recognized like the Prophet, but I didn’t see his face! I tried to come to him but suddenly a Light coming from the sky took me out of that place and when I’ve been elevated I heard the Adhan of our Beloved Prophet! The wonderful voice of the Prophet and a joyful presence pervaded me like something unexpressible… and so ended the dream.

What’s the correct interpretation?

Special Greetings and Salaams to Mawlana Shaikh Hisham Kabbani.

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

InshaAllah through your love to the Prophet you will be rescued from difficulty of this world. Hearing the call to worship from the Prophet is your soul’s yearning to be in his presence. May Allah grant us all such honor.

care for elderly parents

Question:

Assalamualeykum wr. wb Dear Shaykh

My question concerns regarding a particular family issue.
I would like to know what is Islamic view on looking after old parents. If they have children sons and daughters, whose responsibility is to look after them. What is a reward for looking after ones parents? And why before anything else, is so important to look after one’s parents? What the Holy Qur’an does say about parents and what is the sunna? As nowadays so many ‘practising’ Muslims seems to forget or misunderstand the importance of caring for their parents. It has become upon them like a burden. Jazak Allah for your reply. And I would like to ask for your pious duas.

Answer:

As-salamu `alaykum
Bismillahi ‘r-rahmani ‘r-rahim

Of course Islam pays so much attention to looking after parents. In Islam, taking care of parents is second to prayer. Parents have a right to expect care for them from their children. Caring for parents is a deed necessitated with responsibility that is so meritorious in the sight of Allah, that Insha Allah, the children shall have a special place for them in Jannah. So it should not be a burden for “pious” Muslims. Without our parents, we won’t be here. They raised us, spent for us, cared for us, even scolded us in order raise us well. There is nothing a child could do to repay the deeds of their parents for themselves.

The responsibility to look after them lies primarily with the sons, for they are the ones responsible to provide both for their parents when they are adults and working, and also for their own family upon marriage. Daughters are dependents of their fathers, but it is from piety and love that they too extend their assistance in caring for their parents alongside their brothers.

Allah swt says in Qur’an:

Your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him, and that you be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honour. And, out of kindness, lower to them the wing of humility, and say: ‘My Lord! Bestow on them your Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood’.” (Surah al-Isra’ 5:23-24)

So Allah swt commands us to be kind to our parents, to treat them well with respect and honour, and always to be humble in their presence. The du`a of the child for the parents is one of the greatest deeds. It is one of the three deeds of the child that will always be connected with rewards for the child and the parents. Prophet (s) says, “When a man dies, his acts come to an end, except in three cases: an ongoing charity, knowledge from which people continue to benefit, and a righteous child who prays for him.” (Muslim, Abu Dawud). He s.a.w. also says, “Let him be humbled into dust; let him be humbled into dust; Let him be humbled into dust. It was said: O Messenger of Allah! Who is he? He said: He who sees either of his parents during their old age or he sees both of them, but he does not enter Paradise.” (Muslim). Meaning here that they missed out on Paradise because knowing they have elderly parents only to neglect them, depriving them of their care.

You may refer to this post on Bad Feelings to Mother, and Imam Nawawi’s Riyad al-Salihin on Dutifulness to Parents and Maintaining Ties of Kinship.

May Allah swt make us from His True servants who love and please their parents, and provide us the strength and means to serve them with love and honour for the rest of their lives!

Dream: buffalo

Dream:

Assalam Alaykum,

My mother had a dream recently and I was wondering whether you could interpret it please. In her dream she walked out of our family home and saw a big black buffalo walking in front of her. It turned around and its face was covered with a black piece of cloth (veil). It carried on walking and went into the house of a relative of ours. What does this mean?
Jazak Allah Khayran,

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

That relative is going to get a position of power and authority for a year in sha Allah.
