changing surname

Question:

Assalamalikum,

My stepfather had replaced my father’s name with his own in my school records. I tried changing that name officially once I realised it was a mistake but could not do it. My father was a Sayyid and Hashmi.-I want to now make this change– but changing records still proving difficult -but my cousin who is a lawyer advised me to add my surnames even if I cant change the father’s name in records.

So kindly advise if I should add Sayyida to my name or is it necessary to also add Hashmi. I am in a dilemma please reply.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,
If you cannot add both, then either Sayyida or Hashmi is enough as a reminder, since they are synonymous and they both mean Prophetic descendant.

Dream: Flying on chair

Dream:

Assalmu Alaikum Ya Sheikh

I had a conflict with a colleague and she tries to harm me, I saw in dream that a black crab/scorpion bites me on my foot but it didn’t hurt. Then animal ran away and I thought its hungry and I should feed it. Next day I saw that I am flying sitting on a chair and moving very comfortably on top of mountains and clouds and then entered a place like a museum. There were many people in museum I had a good feeling about it.
Please interpret. Jazak Allah khair

Interpretation:

Walaikumas salam Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem,
This is an enemy who will speak evil of you, but it will not harm you in any way. Clouds in a dream also represent the people in authority who do others favors and ask for no reward. Museum on top of mountain indicates access to divine wisdom of a saint. In summary it means, be patient with your colleague as it is a test for you. Insha Allah no harm will come to you. Dream: pearls

Dream:

Assalam Alaikum,
Around 7-8 years back, my parents got me engaged to a person but after that it did not workout. After some day then I saw a dream in which I was wearing bride’s dress and above my head pearls were raining on my head. Now I am 2_ years old, and I am still unmarried. Recently I have taken bayat through website to Hazrath Nazim Al Haqqani (RA). My mother is worried about my marriage. Please pray for me.

Interpretation:

Assalamo alaykum,

1]. Is video making haram? Can we make video of olema to spread Islamic knowledge and faith?
2]. Which type of tasweer are haram? Is in computer and mobile phone on wallpaper and other images of living thing in memory are haram?
3]. In India and Pakistan, Dawat-e-Islami broadcast Islamic Channel named Madani channel, is it valid to spread Islamic knowledge?

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,
No, video making is not haram. It is allowed to make videos of ulema for da`wa. The haram tasweer is the tasweer of haram or what is for viewing by other than those who are allowed to view it. As for the channel you mentioned, I do not know it.

At the beginning of every hundred years comes a prophet ?

As Salamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatuLLAHi ta’Ala wa barakatuh,
Could you please cite the scholars regarding the matter that every hundred years there comes a prophet (I do not mean mujaddid).

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,
I do not know that saying. Some prophets lived up to a millennium such as Adam and Nuh, while others lived contemporaneously with one another such as Yaqub and his sons or Yahya and `Isa, and after the latter there were hundreds of years without prophets–upon our Prophet and all of them blessings and peace, so the saying that at the beginning of every hundred years comes a prophet does not appear to be accurate.

marriage proposal

Question:

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

My dear Mawlana Shaykh Hisham and eshaykh staff.
My name is [private]. As per order of Mawlana Shaykh I have been searching for a wife. Alhamdulillah I have found a girl (her name is [private], daughter of [private]) I have made istikhara through Mawlana Shaykh it was positive. However, her parents will only allow her to marry someone of their culture. After finding this out I did istikhara again, on wether I should still marry her or move on. In a dream Mawlana Shaykh Nazim said I would marry the daughter of someone, however when I awoke I had forgotton the name.

Could you please advise me on what to do, wether I should leave it be or recite a certain wazifa.

Alaykum Salam,

You may leave it be and move on, as your reward is established for trying your best. Mawlana prefers for you the same that the Prophet (s) preferred, namely, to take the easier of two alternatives when both of them are lawful.
