Prayer Request: permission of Dua of Hazrat Dawood

Request:

Asalaamu alykum. Respected shaykhs I want to marry a girl. In that regard I already sent you a message. In its reply by you I was told to convey my interest to her, which I could not due to some hindrance (but I will try to convey my interest in her as soon as possible). I request you to give me permission for dua of Hazrat Dawood and suggest me something that would be better for my life and aakhirah.

Response:

Wa `alaykum salam,

There is general permission to use the Dua of Sayyidina Dawud (as). See Shaykh Gibril’s answer here.

As a suggestion, you may also read the salawat in the book “Salawat of Tremendous Blessings“.

Love for God

Question:

I have a shiekh in Naqshbandi tareeqa. I am a beginner. I do wazaifs according to my ability. Is there any auliya of God who can make me reach the divine court of Allah? I feel very shame because I am not worth of wishing such a big thing, but I want to fall in love with god like Maulana Rumi. I want to become love, please is there any saint who can take me to the court of Rumi and his God? God has so many love stories with His Prophets and saints I am feeling my story will remain unread, not noticed. Thank you …If you can give me a wazifa, just whisper in the formless ears of God about me, he is all hearing, all knowing.

Answer:

In-sha-Allah, you may ask your shaykh this question, if he is living. Otherwise, see Shaykh Taher’s advice in the Post “Increased Himmah and Love.

I am very confused! (Kafam Çok Karıştı!)

Question:

Selamun aleykum,

Yeni rastladım araştırırken. Adnan Efendi var… Hişam Efendi ile kardeş galiba. O, Mehmet Efendi’ye biat ediyorum dedi. Birde Hişam Efendinin mümkünse bahsetmiş olduğunuz o sohbetin (tarikat Şah-i Merdan Hz. Ali’nin elinde) videosu var mı? Kafam çok karıştı. Birde Hişam Efendinin Türkiyede Dergahı var mı? Geliyorsa Türkiye’ye veya Kıbrıs’a, ziyaret edebilir miyiz? Son olarak, şimdi denk geldi…Youtube’de Hişam Efendide Mehmet Efendi’den biat alıyo. Kafam iyice karıştı. Ne olur bi izahat buyurun…kafam iyice bulandı.

Translation:

As-salamu alaykum,

I just came across something as I was researching. There is Adnan Effendi. I think he is Hisham Effendi’s brother. He said that he is taking baya from Mehmet Effendi. Also, if it is possible can you send me the video of that sohbah by Hisham Effendi that you mentioned about (tariqah in hands of Shahi Mardan)? I am so confused. Also, does Hisham Effendi have a dargah in Turkey? If he comes to Turkey or Cyprus, can we visit him? Finally, just now I saw a video on Youtube where Hisham Effendi is also taking baya from Mehmet Efendi. I am throughly confused now! Please do elucidate on this. I’m in a perplexed state of mind.

Answer:

Wa `alaykum salam,

Confusion is normal upon the passing of great awliya, but as long as no dissension occurs it will help to purify the tariqah and the mureeds. Whichever of the three khalifas you connect to Mawlana Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani through will take you to your goal, which is the baya of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim. Rabita, as we have mentioned many times, remains to Sultan al-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh Nazim. Each khalifa has his own way based on what was gifted to him by his master and, in the case of Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani and Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Adnan Kabbani their grand master Grandshaykh ‘Abdullah al-Fa’iz ad-Daghestani (q) as well. Shaykh Hisham took baya with Mawlana Shaykh Mehmet Effendi to show his support to him as a khalifa of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim as well as to give to him from his spiritual faiz. That is a subtle topic which cannot be explained online. In any case follow your heart you will be guided.

Translation:

Hedeften maksat, Mevlana Şeyh Nazım’a biattır.

Dream: Saying Estagfiruallah, praying to Allah to forgive a sin

Dream:

I had a dream where I had not an intention to be involved with a crime (they put a laser bomb which sends destructive laser beems which hurt people) still I somehow got involved and it seemed to me that I purposely did something bad towards other people. I also myself got somewhat hurt by the bomb. After realizing my sin I prayed honestly to Allah “Estagfirullah” once or twice.

Interpretation:

Walaikum assalam,

InshaAllah this dream could be a reflection of some fear or anxiety.

Allah knows best.

Answer to Dua

Question:

On seeking advice from a Shaykh I was recommended to recite “Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil ‘akhirati hasanatan waqina ‘adhaban-nar” in great abundance, due to the unhappiness at the way my life has turned out. Since then I’ve developed, from out of nowhere, an interest in martial arts especially Judo, that it’s almost becoming an obsession. Could this be an answer to the dua. I keep asking myself what’s the point of someone at the age of 45 learning a martial art. Could there be something to be gained from following this new interest?

Answer:

In sha Allah there will be goodness in it.

Divine Light

Question:

Salaams,

I was wondering if I could get some information regarding the Divine Light and power Allah subhanahu wa Taala gave us in our soul which is it’s own source of power.

I heard from one mureed that regular mureeds don’t get this type of power and it’s haraam to spread this power or noor around because nobody is qualified to receive it and if they don’t take care of it or just drop it then it becomes a sin for the one who spread it.

So my question would be if one has that type of power why would spreading it become a misuse and turn into punishment? I always think if someone has power to give good why not spread it so people can benefit?

When people receive this type of noor or power can they harm others? This isn’t the average noor people get during zikrs but from one’s own soul Allah gave. Who is qualified to receive and when?

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

Allah guides to His Noor anyone He wishes, which is the light of His Prophet and Awliya. He decides when, but He looks at the sincerity of our love. May He grant us that.

All Religions

Question:

Salam,
Dear Shaykh,

What is the opinion of scholars about the person (claims to be Muslim) who says following:

“I think all religions have the same source. They lead to the same source. All religions basically talk about compassion and about justice, which is basically what differentiates from the animal kingdom… And in my opinion, all the Prophets sent by The Almighty on this earth delivered the same message. And basically the core message of religions is the same. And so, you know, we should respect each other’s religion. There should not be a competition. People should be each to his own. And I find this religious nationalism basically against the ethos of religion, of spirituality. And I find that, you know, when one religion tries to condemn another religion and tries to say that one is superior to the other, I think that’s where the problems begin.”

Wa-Salam.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

All religions do have the same source and do lead back to the same source; they do talk about compassion and justice; all the Prophets did deliver essentially the same message so that the core message of religions is indeed the same. In Islam it is impermissible to disagree with any of the preceding.

We must respect others but wrong-doers deserve no respect. We do compete in goodness and for goodness. Religion is not exclusively a private matter; it is also a public matter; we do not lose the balance. Nationalism is indeed separate from the ethos of religion and spirituality, and can definitely be against that ethos.

There is no such thing in reality as “one religion trying to condemn another religion” because in reality religion is one and it is surrender to the Almighty; however, mutual condemnation or competition in worldly terms is exactly that. It is from world-oriented discourse even when it claims to be speaking in the name of religion. It is anti-religion in the disguise of religion since the net result is to drive people away from religion.

About mother

Question:

Salaam Ya Hazrat Kabbani. I am grateful & thankful for the replies I’ve got from here. Please help me in this serious matter. It’s been 7 years, it’s hectic for me. I suffer from mental disturbance and high depression. I am unable to expain in 1 single message, so I need to send two parts. I am really fed up of my mother’s relation (almost haram, as I’ve noticed & seen) with his so called brother. I know its unbelievable but misunderstandings never happen again & again. Accidentally, I’ve seen both coming out of the same room. Once, I was standing in front of my house knocking, nobody came out. I called my mother, she said she’s in market. I said I am in front of house. In hurry she came out, opened the door and I saw her hiding the slippers of that man. I was so shocked, but didnt utter a word. Many things happend like this. I cant tell how broken I am from inside. I know command of RasoolAllah (salatussalaam) that mother comes first, three times before father, every child should obey his/her parents come what may. (Astaghfirullah).

I just want my mother’s Duniya and Akhirah blessed. It’s really hard for me to be quiet. I’ve been patient since so long and its affecting my behavior. I try to love her and respect her for the sake of command of Beloved RasoolAllah (Salatussalaam)(mother comes first, heaven lies under her feet) but now it’s really getting very hard for me. A girl’s best friend is her mother, but I dont feel like so. I liked a guy, he also liked me. I knew his intention of marrying me, I want to get marry to him, but out of all this problems I was unable to share this thing with mom. Since I took such a long time he got annoyed and situation got worst. Also my family is undergoing financial problems. And,that man (so called brother) is going to umrah with his family. I cant understand inspite of all this Allah chose him for umrah. I am so frustrated that I cant express. Please pray and tell me how to get out of this problem.

May Allah Bless u.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham is praying for you and your family. Your best help to your mother is to continue to love and respect her with duas for her well-being in dunya and akhira. If she asks for your advice tell her that haram acts spell the end of blessings in one’s life and home, and that making things right is the only way to real happiness. Recite “Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi, Subhan Allah al-Azhim, Astaghfirullah” every morning x100 to the intention of protection and lifting financial burdens.
