Question:

Asalaamalaikum,

I intend on completing hajj this year InshaAllah and have reservations about use of medication to stop/delay menstruation. My expected cycle is to commence around the 9th and 10th of dhul hijja therefore I may not be able to perform tawaf al ziayara or saee on the 10th 11th or 12th of dhul hijja, do I have permission to perform tawaf al ziayara and saee on the 8th of dhul hijja before wuquf at arafat?? If not will my hajj still be complete and accepted if i perform the tawaf al ziayara and saee after ghusl which will be well after the 5 days of hajj?

I am in desperate need of guidance and advice, please tell me what Sheikh Nazim or Sheikh Muhammad or Sheikh Hisham would advise their daughters/wives and sisters as I will surely try my utmost to adhere.

Question on Ahlul Aba

Question:

Salaam Al Shaykh Hisham Kabbani

My Question is regarding this video

Whole world is under ahlul aba which is Muhammed (s) Ali (A) Fatema (A) Hasan (A) and Hussain (A) and they are so important in whole universe, yet Imam Ali is 4th khalifah and not 1st, how come? How come Imam Ali is not the first and only successor of Muhammed (s)?

Answer:

Salamu Alaikum

The issue of Khilafah/Succession is a political issue and not a spiritual one. All companions of Prophet (pbuh) took bayah with Sayyidina Abu Bakr, and as we are Ahl-Sunnah wal-Jamaah, we are accepting all companions as they represent the jamaah.

This question is about history of Islam and it should not concern us as we were not there and, therefore, we are not responsible or knowledgeable of what happened in detail at that time. We are not in a position to criticize the companions of the Prophet (pbuh) and their actions. We are only responsible for our own actions and should be concerned with our own akhira.

And Allah and His Prophet know best.

Prayer Request: which one is right for me

Asalamu alaykum shuyukh.

I have two cousins that are both interested in me. My family is happy with the family and their family is happy with us. Out of the two guys there’s one that’s religious but I don’t know his personality. The other has a nice personality, but I him to be learning more about the deen.

One is [private], I don’t know the mum. The other is [private] and his mother is [private]. They are both [private] born.

My name is [private] and my mother is [private].

Who is better for my akhira and dunya? I don’t want to make a choice that will impact my akhira, and I want someone who will be a good example for me and my kids. A husband who is a leader and knows his fardh.

This is urgent. I will be very much obliged if u could do istikhara for me. I am twice married with two sons. I am looking for third marriage insha Allah. There are two guys who are interested in me. One is called [private]. He is married has two daughters and is younger to me by 5 yrs. Second one is called [private],a divorcee from UK elder to me by 3 yrs. Plz tell me which one is suitable for me and my sons here and here after..I will be obliged if it could take place fast as I need to give an answer.

Speaking lie for Allah’s pleasure

Question:

Aslamu Alaikum Wa Rehmatullah. I want to ask that is it allowed to speak lie to protect our self from the company of those who don’t remember Allah, don’t follow His orders, who use to discuss just worldly and bad things. I feel very uncomfort in such company and sometimes due to the effect of that company I also become a part of such type of bad and worldly discussion because i am not enough spiritually strong to obviate the bad effects of such company.when i leave them i feel too much guilty and make taubah. please guide me in the light of Quran and Sunnah. If it’s not right then please tell me some ways. waslaamu alaikum wa rehmatullah

The answer is yes but prevention is better, i.e. avoid their company altogether as “One follows the religion of the friend one keeps.”

URGENT

My brother used to be really concentrated in his studies and loving towards my parents, but as he got older, he started talking to girls and going out, lying, missing classes, and frustrating my parents. He went away from home few days ago because he promised marriage to a Christian girl who is already divorced and has a kid that’s probably 8 or 9 yrs of age, my mom and dad are crying a lot because he won’t come back and we think the girl may be using him and brainwashing him, we don’t know. Please please I humbly request you to pray for my brother so that he can return home and for his heart to turn away from that girl. If there’s any dua we can read as well, please let us know.

Mawlana Shaykh Hisham is praying for your brother and your family. A hadith states that everything is according to Qadar including intelligence and foolishness. Let your parents entrust their worries to Allah Most High and rely on Him, because it is out of their hands.

However, in sha Allah sustained istighfar, sadaqa and dua will effect a change for the better.

Amount of Maintainance

Question:

During 9 yrs of marriage my husband provided 10 000 rs for two yrs which is equal to our rent, our house is not in a posh locality for everything else I have to ask my mother . We don’t have an extraordinary life just lower middle class quite below my x family status. Our total expenses almost 35k which I am capable of earning but he doesnt let me instead wants me to continue asking my family plus he treats me very disrespectfully has degraded me in front of everyone married me on basis of lie that he earned which he did not.

Answer:

If your family is providing, you may continue to accept their help in order to keep marital peace even though he is remiss in your financial rights. His behavior towards you shows a problem which needs tawba and dhikr to resolve so that Allah brings back love and affection. If the insolvency and mismatch you describe are real and insurmountable, then
they can be grounds for a final separation payment (khulaa) initiated by yourself if that is your wish.

Marriage Istekhara

I like a girl. We both did istekhara. I don’t see anything in dream no matter how much I do istekhara. The girl saw an imam of masjid near her home couple of times and she believes its the right decision. My question is why don’t I see anything in dream? Could the girl’s dream be just a mind dream ?

When there is no reply it means patience, and Allah knows best.

Prayer Request: to remove any signs of any kind of magic and evil eye

Request:

I am [private]. My daughters names are [private]  and [private]. They are refusing all proposals for marriage even though very good. At first they say yes and then refuse. I have been told amulets are buried in the mouth of dead body. About 16 years ago my sister-in-law took my dresses and returned with sweet meats which she forced down the throats of my children around maghrib time. The next morning they started hating me even my eldest son who was studying in US rang up to tell me he had no relation with me. Please pray for my daughters that they agree to get married and accept the next match and they get a good proposal.

Is there a limit in knowledge?

Question:

Asalamwalaykum,
 I read in a book where the government control its people especially when it comes to knowledge. For example: there is only one hundred poems, stories, and books because the government said that the culture is “too cluttered”. I remembered that a hadith said that Muslims must seek knowledge from the crib to the grave. It means that knowledge is never enough and there is no such thing as “too much” knowledge such as fiction books, poems, and stories (even by non-Muslims). This question had been troubling me.
