Dream: Fire from Sky

Dream:

Assalmu Alaikum Y a Sheikh,

May Allah (swt) bless you with good health.
I saw that fire balls are falling from sky and people are running wild. I park my car at side of road and start running on opposite direction. I was saved from fire but whole city was burning.

JazakAllah

Interpretation:

Audhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajim
Bismi-llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm:

Wa alaykum as salaam,

This dream can mean that the prices of things are going to go up with the greed of people like fire eating everything. You will be able to survive by not falling into the greedy game of wanting to be rich by any means.

And Allah knows best.

When Does the Soul (Ruh) Enter the Fetus?

Question:

When does the Soul (ruh) enter the fetus?

Answer :

In the name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful,

According to the jurists (fuqaha), the soul (ruh) enters the foetus at around 120 days (4 months) from conception. They have based this duration upon a Qur’anic verse and a Hadith of the beloved of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace). Our belief is that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and give him peace) explained, both verbally and practically, the contents of the book of Allah. Hence, coming to a correct conclusion cannot be achieved by merely looking at the verse of the Qur’an; rather, it is imperative to see what the beloved of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) has to say about the relevant issue.

Allah Most high says to his beloved servant and Messenger (Allah bless him & give him peace):

{And We have sent down unto you the message (Qur’an); that you may explain clearly to men what is sent for them.} (Sura al-Nahl, 5: 44)

Hence, life being breathed into the fetus at 120 days is understood by looking at the verse of the Qur’an and the Hadith collectively. In the verse, Allah Most High states the stages of embryonic development in the womb of the mother. He Most High says:

{And verily We did create man from a quintessence (of clay). Then We placed him (as a drop of sperm) in a place of rest, firmly fixed. Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood. Then of that clot We made a (fetus) lump. Then We made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh. Then We developed out of it another creature (by breathing life into it). So blessed be Allah, the most marvellous Creator} (Sura al-Mu’minun 5: 12-14).

In the Hadith recorded by the two most authentic authorities, Imam al-Bukhari and Imam Muslim (may Allah have mercy on them both) in their respective Sahih collections, the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) discusses in detail the periods elapsing between these stages mentioned in the Qur’an.

Sayyiduna `Abd Allah ibn Mas`ud (Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said:

((إنَّ أحدكم يُجمَع خَلْقُه في بطن أمه أربعين يومًا، ثم يكون علقةً مثل ذلك، ثم يكون مُضغةً مثل ذلك، ثم يَبعث الله ملكًا فيُؤمر بأربع كلمات، ويقال له: اكتُبْ عملَه، ورزقَه، وأجلَه، و شقيٌّ أو سعيدٌ، ثم يُنفخ فيه الروح))

Each one of you is constituted in the womb of the mother for forty days, and then he becomes a clot of thick blood for a similar period, and then a piece of flesh for a similar period. Then Allah sends an angel who is ordered to write four things. He is ordered to write down his deeds, his livelihood, his (date of) death, and whether he will be blessed or wretched (in religion). Then the soul is breathed into him… (Sahih al-Bukhari no: 3036).

Based on the above Qur’anic verse and Hadith, the jurists (fuqaha) have inferred that the soul (ruh) enters the fetus at around 4 months/120 days after gestation.

Imam Ibn `Abidin (Allah have mercy on him) states:

The soul enters the fetus at 120 days (4 months), as established by the Hadith. (Radd al-Muhtar ala Durr al-Mukhtar 1/202)

Thus, when the age of the unborn child reaches 120 days (4 months), it no longer remains a lifeless object; rather, it is a living human being. At this point, all organ differentiation is almost completed and the child acquires the shape of a human body.

And Allah knows best

How to remove fear in heart?

Question:

Salam,

I got addicted to a bad habit in the past. I hardly leave it but my heart became so weak because of evil in past. I have fear of djinn/man and every thing but no fear of Allah. I can not talk to anyone, even on the phone and can not face any djinn. Please I want only fear of Allah and love of Prophet (PBUH). How can I create that? What should I read? Give me something to read that creates love for Prophet (PBUH) and fear of Allah.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

Observe daily wazifa. You might already have taqwa but without credit for your nafs. However you should spend more time with Mawlana and suhba, either through representative and Jamaa, or by studying his suhbas daily.

Dream: Dying at a certain age, grandma dying

Question:

Assalamu aleikum,

1 .A few days ago or so I dreamt that I stood in front of a table, bent down and could only see green socks/pants cause someone was sitting on a sofa behind the table. In my dream I felt like that was MSN sitting there. But I think the man said we will meet again when I’m 59 years old (I think it was that age,I can’t remember well ). And I felt like I was going to die at that age.

2. Today in the morning I also dreamt my grandmother was sitting on a couch and was dying. I hold her hand and told her I loved her. I woke up crying. After reading different dream interpretations on the site I wonder why I didn’t at least see my grandmother saying shahadah, or anyone else telling her to say it.

3. Does every dream mean something no matter how strange it might be?

Thank you for answering my questions.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

In sha Allah you will die on Islam, perhaps at 95 or whenever Allah wishes, and Mawlana Shaykh Nazim (Allah bless his secret) may be present as a Divine favor for yourself and grandmother as we all also ask for ourselves and loved ones.

Marriage

Question:

I liked a boy and it turned out is my relative. He is from a different city than I am. He proposed me and I said yes. However, I didn’t have time or courage to tell my mother about it. So when his mother called to ask for hand, my mother said no. I told my mother that I really like the boy and that she should call them and apologize and invite them over. When my mother called, his father picked up and he refused point blank saying that they are not looking for any proposals at the moment. I am currently reciting Surah Taubah’s last two ayaats 41 times for 41 days.

Answer:

Allah will provide. Keep love, respect, and kind communication with your parents. Find time to involve them in life-changing decisions. Do not request them to apologize for anything ever.

Prayers and Guidance

Question:

Asalam’Alykum,

I have a dear friend who wished to excel in Islamic studies so they went to a Deobandi school and when he came back he hasn’t been the same. He is suffering from severe forms of anxiety/depression and never leaves the house. He has stopped all studies and memorization. I have advised him to take baya with MSN. I don’t know if someone has done black magic or what this is. Please do pray for him Sayyidi. Also what should he do and any advice would be guidance?  Jazakullalkhair.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

May Allah grant him shifa. Let him take bayaa and he will improve in sha Allah. Give him dhikr water and visit him with salawat in your heart.

Emptiness

Question:

Assalamu alaykum,

I recently took Shahadah and now I am confused about doing so. I so desired to be a murid of Sheikh Nazim, but after bay’at I now feel empty. I feel my enthusiasm vanished once the bay’at was completed. Please give advice if possible to counteract this.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

Continue with suhba which means being with Mawlana and his representatives as much as you can for learning and dhikr in Jamaa. Bayaa is like shahada and in constant need of renewal to bear its fruit in and out of season in sha Alla.

Hadith Authenticity

Question:

As-Salaamualykum,

Here in South Africa, there is a recent trend in studying Quraan by opinion. This is becoming a problem as hadith are being nullified, based on logical approaches and opinions, and because some hadith are not mentioned in the Quraan. People approach their belief of Islam by solely applying logic, and forget about the sunnah and Islamic wisdom. It is becoming a problem particularly amongst the youngsters, because they believe Quraan was made “easy” and that it is an “open window”.

What is the best way to approach these people?

I would appreciate if the following hadith can be verified :
“He who speaks on the Qur’an without possessing knowledge must assume his seat in the Fire.” [ Ahmad (Vol. 1, pg. 269) No. 2429,Tirmdhi (Vol. 5, pg.198) No. 2950, [Maaf, I can not find an English translation to verify cross-reference]

Your insight will be much appreciated.

Shukran.

Answer:

Alaykum Salam,

It is a banale old heresy and they are outside the pale. The common historical antidote is for actual scholars to rise in every time and place and re-educate people about the basics of where we take Religion from.

The hadith quoted is authentic.

Dream: Azaan

Dream:

I saved an azaan ringtone in my phone. Just a couple of days after, I was out of town and while sleeping in my hotel room, I saw a dream about an hour before Fajar. I saw my brother was in prostrating (he was in sajda), on a prayer mat, perhaps in the same room as I was sleeping, and in sajda he was giving azaan (prayer to call). His two kids were standing by his shoulders, and they were repeating after himself. I don’t think I heard the full azaan before I woke up. I sometimes make dua for my brother and father to get on the path of Allah. Please advise what is the meaning of this dream. Jazak Allah khair!

Interpretation:

Allah will guide them through you in sha Allah.
