Salams to the friends of Allah,

My mother saw a very big tree in a house courtyard; she says this tree (Jaal tree in Urdu) is usually not in a house. She sees loads of crows on its long branches. She is surprised and does not say anything. Then she comes to me (her daughter) I am standing in front of a counter and on it there are many leaves and I give her one and tell her to drink the milk on the leaf. There is also a Naqshbandi brother we know, standing in the corner of a door, who says to her, “drink it drink it”!
Shaykh, could you please tell what does the tree, the crows and the milk on the leaf mean ?

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

wa `alaykum salam,

On Isra’ and Mi`raj the Prophet (s) chose milk to drink, symbolizing the fitra or state of innate goodness and purity that human beings are born on. The tree leaves in the dream show knowledge of papers (leaves/awraq) which is the external scholarly knowledge while the milk symbolizes the internal experiential knowledge of taste (adhwaq). Through the guidance of the Naqshbandi Order of awliya – which are like a tree with many branches, all reaching back to the Prophet (s) she will reach these realities. And Allah and His Prophet (s) know best.
