Wasalam

Response:

wa `alaykum salam,

1) Insha-Allah Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani is praying for him.

2) Doing business with murids of any tariqah is always fraught with risk because there are many unspoken expectations that often are unrealistic and this can end up in broken relationships.

3) Insha-Allah Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani is praying for your children to achieve perfected character in this life and to be in the presence of the Prophet (s) in this life and the next.

Dream:

Es-Selamu-Aleukum
She decided to go and ask for help to a practicing Muslim healer for his son. In a dream she heard from him saying that it was given from Isa a.s his the dog and the house of. The next day she went to this healer and she recognized him from the dream, he told her that the guy was wrongly treated (true) and he needed nothing to be treated, only a little time and he will be fine by himself. Coming back home a herd of wild dogs appeared, one of them accompanied her till the city border without bothering nobody and then left. She was afraid of him but nothing happened. … Maybe a year ago the guy saw somebody he thought was Isa a.s. in a dream and both of them were starring astonished to each other…

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

Please clarify “she” and “the guy”. Is part of your post missing?

Prayer Request: disheartened by friends

Request:

assalamualaikum to all
Recently I have asked a friend to help our family business out whilst we are away but he says he cannot do it and his reasons aren’t valid. Also I am currently liking a girl but it hurts and I want to forget about her as she is giving me a cold shoulder. I have done lots for her, as a friend. Others have let me down a lot and I’m always in a state of sadness from this. Can you please pray for them and I and give me a solution? I still want them in my life. Thank you and may Allah bless everyone on this site, and peace be upon our Beloved master Muhammad (S.A.W)

Response:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

wa `alaykum salam,

You seem to be a very giving and caring person, but you must understand that every human being is unique and may not reciprocate your kindness in the way you would like or expect.  The friend has no obligation to your family business, so his acceptance would be optional and also his refusal is legitimate whether or not you find his excuses “valid.”  With your parents, try to find a suitable girl for marriage- not “friends.”  If this girl does not seem interested or suitable then forget about her, as you have no relationship to her Islamically.

Recite everyday “hasbunallah wa ni`ama ‘l-wakeel” 100 times to make your problems easier.  You may also read Qul Ya Azeem as recently recommended by Mawlana Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani. http://www.sufilive.com/print.cfm?id=3376&lc=EN Wa’Allahu a`lam.

Dream: Muharram dream

Dream:

I had a dream during the first 10 days of Muharram on a Thursday night. I was about 13 years old. I am now 23. Dream: I was in Iraq with my parents and brother. We were outside one of the holy mosques. It was sandy. When we looked in the sky, I saw 3 moons. One quarter moon was red and the other quarter was green. The full moon was red and in the middle of the sky. I then saw a silver cloud emerge from the right side of the sky and felt the presence of our beloved Muhammad (SAW). I woke up with a great feeling. Pls note I am very strong in believing in the Prophets and Awliya. It’s what I love the most in my life. And we observe the day of Ashurah very strongly. I am a follower of Shaykh Abdul Qaadir Jilani (RA)

Interpretation:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

In your dream, the full red moon shows the advent of Sayyidina al-Mahdi (as) while the green quarter moon shows the Ghawth or Sultan al-Awliya, the living inheritor of the Prophet (s) in our time.  The red quarter moon represents a special saint, Mustashar al-Mahdi,  who is responsible for arranging events in the world in preparation for the appearance of Sayyidina al-Mahdi (as).

The baraka of Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani (q) and your respect for Muharram and `Ashura granted you to be their presence which took you to the heavenly presence of the Prophet (s).

The following is a story about Mawlana Shaykh Nazim’s seclusion at the Maqam of Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani (q) in Baghdad.

[begin]

When he had only two children, one daughter and one son, he was called by our Grandshaikh, Shaykh `Abdullah ad-Daghestani. He told him, “I have received an order from the Prophet (s) for you to make seclusion in the mosque of `Abdul Qadir Jilani in Baghdad. Go there and make seclusion for six months.”

Describing that event, Shaykh Nazim says, “I didn’t ask the Shaykh any questions. I didn’t even go back to my house. I directed my steps immediately to Marja in the downtown. I didn’t think, ‘I need clothes, I need money, I need provisions.’ When he said, ‘Go!’ I went. I was drawn to do seclusion with Sayyidina `Abdul Qadir. I went directly to Marja. When I reached the downtown walking I saw a man looking at me. He looked at me and he recognized me. He said, ‘Shaykh Nazim, where are you going?’ I said, ‘To Baghdad.’ He was a murid of Grandshaykh. He said, ‘I am going to Baghdad myself!’ He had a truckload of goods to deliver in Baghdad. So he took me with him.”

“When I entered the mosque of Sayyidina `Abdul Qadir Jilani there was a giant man closing the door of the mosque holding it shut. He said, ‘Shaykh Nazim!’ ‘Yes,’ I answered. He said, ‘I am the one assigned to be your servant during your stay here. Come with me.’ I was surprised at this, but in my heart there was no surprise because we know in tariqat that everything is always arranged by the Divine Presence. I followed him as he approached the grave of the Arch-Intercessor (Ghawth al-`Azam) and I gave greetings to my great-great-grandfather, Sayyidina ‘Abdul Qadir Jilani. Then he took me to a room and told me, ‘Every day I will serve you one bowl of lentil soup with one piece of bread.'”

“I only emerged from my room for the five prayers. Other than that I spent my whole time in that room. I was able to reach such a state that I could recite the whole Qur’an in nine hours. In addition I recited 124,000 Dhikr of the Kalima (la ilaha illallah) and 124,000  salawat (prayers on the Prophet (s) in addition to reading the entire Dala’il al-Khayrat. Added to that I was regularly reciting 313,000 ‘Allah Allah‘ every day, as well as all the prayers that were assigned to me. Vision after vision appeared to me every day. These visions took me from one state to another until I was Annihilated in the Divine Presence.”

“One day I had a vision that Sayyidina `Abdul Qadir Jilani was calling me to his grave and he was saying, ‘O my son I am waiting for you at my grave. Come!’ Immediately I took a shower, prayed two cycles of prayer and I walked to his grave which was only some few feet from my room. When I got there I began contemplating and I said, as-Salam `alayka ya jiddee (‘Peace be upon you O my grandfather’). Immediately I saw him come out of the grave and stand beside me. Behind him was a Great Throne decorated with rare stones. He said to me, ‘Come with me and sit with me on that throne.’

“We sat like a grandfather with his grandson. He was smiling and saying, ‘I am happy with you. The station of your Shaykh, `Abdullah al-Fa’iz ad-Daghestani is very high in the Naqshbandi Order. I am your grandfather and I am passing to you now, directly from me, the power that I carry as the Arch-Intercessor and I initiate you now directly into the Qadiri Order.'”

When Shaykh Nazim had finished his seclusion and was about to leave, he went to Sayyidina ‘Abdul Qadir Jilani’s grave to say goodbye. Sayyidina ‘Abdul Qadir Jilani appeared in the flesh to him and said, “O my son. I am very happy with the states you have reached in the Naqshbandi Order. I am renewing your initiation to me through the Qadiri Order.” Sayyidina `Abdul Qadir Jilani then said, “O my grandson, I am going to give you a token of your visit.” He hugged him and gave him ten coins. Those coins were from the time he was living in, not from our time. Up until today, Shaykh Nazim has kept those coins with him.

Before he left, Shaykh Nazim gave the Shaykh who had served him during the seclusion, his jubba (cloak) as a remembrance. He told him, “I used that cloak during all of my seclusion, either as a mat to sleep on, or as a dress when praying and making dhikr. Keep it and Allah will bless you and Sayyidina Muhammad (s) will bless you and all the Masters of this Order will bless you.” The Shaykh took the cloak, kissed it, and wore it. Shaykh Nazim left Baghdad and went back to Damascus, Syria.

In 1992, when Shaykh Nazim was visiting Lahore, Pakistan, he visited the tomb of Shaykh `Ali  Hujwiri. The Shaykh of the Qadiri Order invited him to his house, and Shaykh Nazim spent the night there. At Fajr time, the Shaykh said, “O my Shaykh, I kept you here tonight to show you a very precious cloak, that we have inherited 27 years ago. It was passed from one great Shaykh of the Qadiri Order to another from Baghdad, and finally it reached us. All our Shaykhs have kept it and preserved it, because it was the personal cloak (jubba) of the Ghawth of his time.

“A Turkish Shaykh of the Naqshbandi Order kept seclusion in the mosque and tomb of Sayyidina ‘Abdul Qadir Jilani. When that Shaykh finished his seclusion he gave the cloak as a present to a Qadiri Shaykh who had served him during his seclusion. That Qadiri Shaykh, before he passed away, ordered his successors to take great care of that cloak, because if anyone wears it, he will be healed of any illness. Any seeker wearing that cloak, in his path to the Divine Presence, will be lifted easily to high states of Vision.”

He opened the closet and revealed the cloak preserved in a glass case. He opened the case and took the jubba out. Shaykh Nazim was smiling. The Shaykh asked him, “What is it my Shaykh?” Shaykh Nazim said, “This brings me great happiness. This is the cloak I gave to the Qadiri Shaykh at the conclusion of my khalwat.” When the Shaykh heard this he kissed the hand of Shaykh Nazim, asked to renew his initiation in the Qadiri Order and to take initiation in the Naqshbandi Order. Allah takes good care of his saints, wherever they go, by means of his sincere and beloved servants.

[end]

Fasting

Question:

Assalamou alaikoum,
A woman was pregnant and she couldn’t fast the whole Ramadan. After that she gave breast feeding for about two years. She could have fasted the days missed during or at least after breast feeding, but she didn’t. Now she begins to fast the missed days. The question is because she fasts the missed days not on time, does she has to pay for each day? And if yes how much has she have to pay for each day?
Jazakoum alahou khayeran wassalam

Answer:

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

wa `alaykum salam,

Yes, she has to pay fidya. For the first year that she has missed fasting until another Ramadan appears, she has to pay fidya for each day a “mudd” (750 grams) of staple food of the area she is in (e.g. rice, wheat, barley). If she did not make up the fast until another Ramdan comes, the amount is then doubled.

Allah knows best.

Dream: Nightmare

Dream:

Assalaam Alaykum,

In the Ramadan Night of 1995 I had a nightmare. Something started to move in my body and I see that my friend is committing bad acts. Then I see my cousin has quit talking to me and I am like in house arrest. Then I see my face has turned black and started to offer prayers day and night in a dark room and asking Allah’s forgiveness. Then see that an orange python is seen on my right side when I am in salah. See myself running madly shouting “Ghouse-e-Paak” with my hands in front of me and something like the jinns chasing me with swords in their hands. Also the sound of bells like in temple was heard. Suddenly woke up with a start and sweating all over and my eyes rested on a green garment which was lying in front of me.

Interpretation:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

This is a nice dream because it indicates seclusion, praying day and night in a dark room.  They are chasing all the hidden idols out of your heart and at the end you reach to the Presence of the Holy Prophet (s), represented by the green garment.   The python recalls an experience of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim’s pir, Grandshaykh Abdallah Daghestani (q):

Before each prayer, I was obliged to take a cold shower. There was, of course, no running water, so I had to use melted snow for showering. As I was about to stand up to wash for prayer, I found that facing me was the head of a snake, which had encircled me completely. Its head was poised so that any movement out of fear would cause him to strike me. I didn’t give that snake any importance. I knew if I felt any fear, it would attack. So in my mind I made it to be nonexistent. I could not take a shower with the snake wrapped around me, but the Shaykh’s order had to be followed. So I poured the water over my clothes and over the snake. For forty days that snake remained wrapped around me. When I was praying, it would move its head to allow for my prostrations. For forty days, that snake kept watch, looking for any mistake or fear, to attack me. This test from my Shaykh, to see if I had fear of any but Allah, finally ended and that snake began to unwind itself from around me. It sat for a while in front of me. Then it disappeared.

[end quote Mawlana Shaykh Abdullah Daghestani]

Covering aurah

Question:

I know that in Islam, women who reach baligh, need to cover their aurah from non-mahram except for their mahram. But I’m not ready to cover it and make a commitment. What should I do?

Answer:

We all pray that our `ibadah and our iman constantly increase and that Allah gives us the strength to be vigilant in our obligations. Pray to Allah that He makes it easier for you to fulfill your obligations and that you are able to make that commitment.

Dream: Myself in Paradise with 2 men and Quran

Dream:

Dearest Shaykh, Assalamu alaykum,

Many years ago, I saw in a dream, myself in Paradise in an elevated position with possibly a large Quran in my hand and on the right was a doctor, (who was my doctor in childhood in reality). He was talking to me and on my other side was a young and attractive Pakistani man. We were all very well dressed in Western clothes and very pleased to be in Paradise. The Western doctor had a small section of white hair on the front of his head.

Please could you interpret this for me? Humbly yours.

Interpretation:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

The doctor here shows the wali who has been guiding you throughout your life.  Inheriting from the Prophet (s) spiritually and physically, he is standing on your right side, and the Quran is in your right hand illustrating the hadith: “I left two things amongst you which if you hold to them you will not go astray: Allah’s Book and my Ahl al-Bayt.”  The white wisp of hair shows the inheritance of Prophetic light shining in his brow.  His guidance  has been with you throughout your life and will take you all the way to your final station in Paradise. Wa’Allahu a`lam.

Dream: Prophet(AS)’s sandal

Dream:

This is a dream of my husband.
There was a white tent and Mawlana Sheykh Nazim was in it. Other murids and me entered the tent and Mawlana gave us a case. Inside the case there was a flag, and the buckle of the Prophet(AS)’ sandal was inside the flag. I could see the buckle with all its details and the dream finish.

Interpretation:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

The white tent shows the nur and purity of the Naqshbandi Sufi Way, lead in our time by Mawlana Shaykh Nazim.  He is inheriting the inward and outward way of the Prophet (s) and spreading this knowledge through the hearts of his followers. Wa’Allahu a`lam.
