Dream: Vision of Rasulallah

Dream:

I was walking with the the Prophet Muhammad (s)  peace be upon him after greeting them and i shyly held their hand and they smiled at me this made me happy we walked and the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon gave him salam to Abu Bakr Siddiq. I knew this was sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq because the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him uttered their name and the Prophet Muhammad (s) peace be upon hims voice sounded soft i kissed sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq’s hand and lots of pious children came and we were walking behing sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq and prophet Muhammad peace be upon him and they both sat and we all sat and I saw a staff like object and prophet Muhammad peace be upon him gave it to me and i had a very happy feeling and every time i looked or smelt it it reminded me of the best of creation prophet Muhammad peace be upon him we were sitting and i saw a all the children sitting with us that i knew of and some that i didn’t know of then we introduced each other .
After the introduction we saw prophet Muhammad peace be upon him placing their saliva in to a cup like object and we all drank from it every time the cup filling again and again, After a While i leaned against the shoulder of prophet Muhammad peace be upon him and everyone smiled.

Interpretation:

This dream is clear and self-explanatory. Whoever saw the Prophet (s) in a dream saw  him in reality for shaytan cannot imitate his form.  And our shuyukh have explained that whoever saw the Prophet (s) in the dream will be saved from seven of the greatest tribulations to face him or her in dunya and seven in akhira. Similarly, seeing Sayyidina Abu Bakr as-Siddiq (r) in the same dream shows you are connected to him, through your tariqah lineage and he has accepted you. And being with children shows the state of your soul as pure in a state of fitrah and this is due to your excessive love of the Prophet (s) and excessive praise of him. Receiving the Prophet’s saliva is a cure for all  your spiritual ailments and perfecting your `amal, for the Prophet (s) said:

بسم الله، تربة أرضنا بريقة بعضنا يشفى سقيمنا بإذن ربنا

Bismillah, the dust of our earth mixed with the saliva of some of us cures our ill, by permission of our Lord. (Bukhari and Muslim)

Congratulations on this good tidings!

Allah’s anger

Question:

Is it wrong to believe that Allah is angry with you? for the sins that you commited.

Answer:

It is not wrong, because the Prophet (s) used to constantly seek forgiveness from Allah swt, whereas he had no sins whatsoever and was the perfect exemplar to the Ummah. We recite in our salat 17 times daily at a minimum, sirat alladheena an`amta `alayhim ghayri ‘l-maghdoobi `alayhim wa laa daalleen, The path of those whom Thou hast favored; Not (the path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray.

Imam Ghazzali wrote:

…the heart should swing like a pendulum between fear and hope. For one does not know if one’s …[worship] will be accepted, so that one will find favor with God, or whether it will be rejected, leaving one among those He abhors. This is how one should be at the end of any act of worship one performs.  [Al-Ghazali, Inner Dimensions of Islamic Worship, Edited 12/99]

What is nafs?

Question:

What is nafs?

Answer:

Hans-Wehr Arabic-English Dictionary:

نفس nafs f., pl. نفوس nufoos, انفس anfus soul; psyche; spirit, mind; life animate being, living creature, human being, person, individual (in this sense masc.) essence, nature; inclination, liking, appetite, desire; personal identity, self.

Imam Ghazali wrote:

Meaning of nafs: It has two meanings. First, it means the powers of anger and sexual appetite in a human being… and this is the usage mostly found among the people of tasawwuf [sufis], who take “nafs” as the comprehensive word for all the evil attributes of a person. That is why they say: one must certainly do battle with the ego and break it (la budda min mujahadat al-nafs wa kasriha), as is referred to in the hadith: A`da `aduwwuka nafsuka al-lati bayna janbayk, Your worst enemy is your nafs which lies between your flanks.

The second meaning of nafs is the soul, the human being in reality, his self and his person. However, it is described differently according to its different states. If it assumes calmness under command and has removed from itself the disturbance caused by the onslaught of passion, it is called “the satisfied soul” (al-nafs al-mutma’inna)… In its first meaning the nafs does not envisage its return to God because it has kept itself far from Him: such a nafs is from the party of shaytan. However, when it does not achieve calmness, yet sets itself against the love of passions and objects to it, it is called “the self-accusing soul” (al-nafs al-lawwama), because it rebukes its owner for his neglect in the worship of his master… If it gives up all protest and surrenders itself in total obedience to the call of passions and shaytan, it is named “the soul that enjoins evil” (al-nafs al-ammara bi al-su’)… which could be taken to refer to the ego in its first meaning.

Imam Abu Hamid al-Ghazali, Ihya `Ulum al-Din (The Revival of the Religious Sciences): “Kitab sharh `aja’ib al-qalb” (Book of the Explanation of the Mysteries of the Heart).

Dream: Seeing animals during salat

Question:

Salams to dear Shaykh,

A couple of years ago before I took bay’at, I dreamt that I was doing Salat in an old hut with large carpets and I was facing an open window. I was performing either zuhur/Asr prayer and after I made my last sajdah, I saw a white tiger sitting in front of me and beside that tiger was a young deer. I also saw some butterflies fluttering around them. The next moment I know, I woke up.

Could you kindly interpret this dream of mine?

Salams and much love,

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

Salat is the ascension of the believer.” The tiger sitting with the dear shows that you achieved a perfection in your salat that caused your nafs al-ammarah, the lower commanding self – the dark, lower side of the ego – to become tame, able to sit peacefully with the nafs al-mutma’inah, the tranquil soul – the good side of the ego – represented by the deer,  allowing your soul to by uplifted to the point it can move spiritually and meet with other illuminated souls, as represented by the butterflies. All this indicates what you can achieve when you set your heart to it.

Marriage half of faith?

Question:

is it true that by marrying , you are fulfiling half your faith?

Answer:

Salamu`Alaikum

Yes. Anas ibn Malik narrated that the Prophet said – Allah bless and greet him

1. In al-Bayhaqi in Shu`ab al-Iman:

Idha tazawwaja al-`abdu faqad istakmala nisfa al-din. fal yattaqi Allaha fi al-nisfi al-baqi.

“When Allah’s servant marries he has completed one half of the Religion. Thereafter let him fear Allah regarding the remaining half.”

2. In Ibn al-Jawzi in al-`Ilal al-Mutanahya:

Man tazawwaja faqad ahraza shatra dinihi fal yattaqi Allaha fi al-shatr al-akhar.

“Whoever marries has achieved one half of the Religion. Thereafter let him fear Allah regarding the other half.”

3. In al-Tabarani in the three Mu`jams:

Man tazawwaja faqad istakmala nisfa al-iman fal yattaqi Allaha fi al-nisfi al-baqi.

“Whoever marries has achieved one half of belief. Thereafter let him fear Allah regarding the other half.”

4. In al-Hakim in al-Mustadrak and al-Bayhaqi in Shu`ab al-Iman:

Man razaqahu Allahu imra’atan salihatan faqad a`anahu `ala shatri dinihi fal yattaqi Allaha fi al-shatri al-akhar.

“Whomever Allah has granted a righteous wife He has supported in upholding one half of his Religion. Thereafter let him fear Allah regarding the other half.”

This hadith was declared weak (da`if) by Ibn Hajar, his shaykh, al-`Iraqi, and Ibn al-Jawzi according to al-Munawi in Fayd al-Qadir. Its chain was declared weak by al-Haythami in Majma` al-Zawa’id but he indicates that it is fair in al-Ifsah. It was declared sahih al-isnad (of sound chain) by al-Hakim, and both al-Dhahabi and al-Suyuti concurred.

Abdur Rahman Doi writes:

The Prophet (s) considered marriage for a Muslim as “half of his religion” because it may shield him from promiscuity, adultery, fornication, homosexuality, and the life which ultimately lead to many other crimes including slander, quarrel, homicide, loss of property and finally the disintegration of the ideal family system on which so much stress has been placed by the Holy Prophet (s). istakhara

Dream:

I am doing istakhara for my husband to be and I see a cows head picture upside down and then I see my dads brother parvaze puting a frying pan on my mums head and then setting her knees on fire. what dose this mean?

plz notify me when this is answered ?

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

There are some signals that point to the analogy “from the frying pan into the fire”, so the dream indicates conflict and confusion instead of harmony and clarity. So be careful for if you push this you can lose a lot. W ‘Allahu `alam.

evil thoughts

Question:

Asslamo alaikum
I suffer from unintentional evil thoughts. I’m just a beginner but I do the awrad of the people of determination because of my extreme evil thoughts but still those evil thoughts don’t come under my control. Can you advise me any extra awraad that I can do that can help me to supress my evil thoughts. JazakAllah khairan. Asslamo alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuh.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam wa rahmatullah,

Drop down to doing the 1500 awrad (of the initiate). Imagine  yourself in presence of Ka`bah or in front of the Prophet’s Rawdah in the presence of Mawlana Shaykh Nazim in his presence and concentrate on the Shaykh, and then do your awrad. This will keep Shaytan further away, insha-Allah.

Dream: roti and writing

Dream:

Asalamalaykom wb

My wife had a dream that people were making roti bread, the sky was grey, and in the sky she could see arabic writing it was in 2 seperate parts, all the people panicked for while and then calmed down:end of dream. she cant remember what the writing said, but did have ALLAH in the words.

Allah bless you you all for the good work. we love you

Interpretation:

Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim
Allahumma Salli ala Sayyidina Muhammad wa `ala Ahili wa Sahbihi Ajma’in

As-Salamu `Alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakutuh

The Messenger (saw) said “The preparation for an opening, is worship”

Certain colors of the sky in a dream represents certain signs. Red would mean war, green would mean goodness, yellow means disease and sickness, and black means famine.

In the case of your wife, she witnessed a grey sky that represents the great fitna that will cover the whole earth before Sayyidina Mahdi’s (as) arrival. The writing in the sky represents when he shouts the Takbir for all to hear. For some that will be frightening, but for those who are waiting, this would be good news.

Allah is showing you a great favor to prepare for it.

The second part of the writing is the tasbih and takbir that Imam Mahdi will use to defeat his enemies without weapons. This is why people will come down at the end because he will bring justice and peace after the earth was filled with tyranny and injustice

In conclusion, I would advise you to study Shaykh Hisham’s book “The Approach of Armageddon”.

Sallu Alayhi!

Relation to my mom

Question:

Bismillahi Rahmani Rahim

Salam ‘aleykoum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatuh,

Since I’m around 16 years old, I decided to begin a relation with my mom (my parents separated i had around 2-3 years old and no relation with her after 4 or 5 years old, decision of my father, my mother is mental sick, from so far, before she met my father… ).

It was difficult for me to be in relation with my so “special” mother but in same time, i felt that it was what i have to do, in my heart, to have a minimum of relation with her…

I get married, and my husband after 2 times meet my mom, does want I continue to see her. I accepted his decision but I still dont feel completly in peace to stop the relation with my mom. Because I learned, since I become Muslim, how it’s important to take care of our parents. In same time, I understand my husband.

What should I do, please help me to do the best for everyone (my mom, my husband, my 2 child, my grand-mother in the side of my mother, etc)

Jazaka Allahou Khairan

Amina

Answer:

Your husband has no right in Shari`ah  to prevent you from seeing your mother. It is your duty to see your mother and help her in any way you can. This is regardless of her being a Muslim or not, or being mentally capable or not. Explain this to him kindly and that you don’t want to oppose his wishes, but “Your mother, your mother, your mother” is the direct command of our Holy Prophet (s) and must come first.

was-salam
