Daily awrad vs praying in the mosque

Question:

Assalamualaikum
Dear Shaykh, I live in Medan, Indonesia where there are lots of mosques available and prayers offered in jamaath 5 times a day. My question is, which is better for me, to pray at home and recite the daily awrad (conduct the prayers according to the Naqshbandi Haqqani Way) or go to mosque and pray in jamaath.
Thank you Shaykh for the explanation, wassalamualaikum.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Go to the mosque, pray in jama`ah, and do awrad later.

Dream: black clouds and two kinds of people

Dream:

As Salaam Alaykum,

After fajr awrad, I dreamt I was in a car, (two men drove), turning very quickly on itself in a place filled with men who entertained. The sky was covered with black clouds which moved very quickly, and I felt as if these clouds were announcing good things. I jumped out the car to escape, and a few men followed me. Then I saw that I was almost naked and only had a pagne on me and I quickly caught clothes and a veil and cover myself completely. Then I saw two rows of men dressed like ihram at hajj, near a mosque. They entered. I went to them to enter and there were a few people before me entering, including very few women.

Thank you for your help. I wondered I must do a sadaka ?

May Allah bless you all.

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

Don’t follow bad thoughts or you will fall into a ditch.  Awliyaullah saved you, sent you clothes and took you to a mosque. That is the house of Allah. So as soon as you do sin, repent immediately and Allah will forgive you.

Family member goes to night clubs

Question:

A member of our family who is only 15 is not respecting or obeying his family. He wants to go to night clubs and one night came home drunk and wet himself. What can we do to stop him and to bring him back to the way of Islam insha Allah.

Answer:

The Prophet (s) said, “Who ever saw evil try to change with your hand. If you cannot, change by your tongue. If you cannot, change by your heart,” which means by praying for him.

First of all, he needs to be disciplined and the best discipline is to punish him. Ground him not to go out of the house, don’t give him any money and stop him from school. Now in the West they might say “he has liberty” but culturally, from eastern backgrounds, the culture differs from the West. If you are living in the West, that is something else. Someone in their home country would discipline him very well. If he was in Middle Eastern countries they would even beat him on his feet.  Since you are in the West you must not do that. However, if he is the type who listens to advice, advise him first and if not, punish him. You can take away his car keys, his money, his credit cards, his phone or any other means to limit him and punish him. If he still doesn’t listen, then pray for him, and this is lowest of iman, as the Prophet (s) said.

Dream: Mawlana Shaykh Nazim, my mother and sister

Dream:

As-salam Alaykum

I had a dream where I was in my mother’s home. My older sister comes down with her daughter (currently she is not married nor does she have children). I walk into the living room where Mawlana Shaykh Nazim Adil al-Haqqani and Shaykh Muhammad Hisham Kabbani are talking to someone who is asking about marriage. Mawlana Shaykh Nazim jokingly tells this boy, “no” 3 times and on the third time Shaykh Hisham tells him, “you have been told ‘no’ 3 times”. I hurry to place red roses on my sister. I take her daughter who is a baby knowing that she is very special. She wants to hear the Quran so we sit and I read the Quran to her.

Please, is it possible to interpret this for me? I am very appreciative of this.

Thank you.

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

In dreams a mother represents Paradise. That is  why you saw your sister with a child. A girl with child is dunya. So Allah gave you Paradise through your mother’ s home and gave you dunya through your sister with a daughter. When you see a lady in a dream it indicates something that is heavenly rizq or wordly rizq.

About the boy that said “no” 3 times, that means the business you are trying to do, be sure you are not going to be cheated by it.

Dream: Dinner with Mawlana Shaykh Nazim and a walk

Dream:

Assalamu Alaikum Sayyidi,

In this dream, we were at a dinner table in Cyprus, my brother and I, in the company of Mawlana Sheikh Nazim (QS). He was smiling at us and was telling us to eat and drink. We were shy.

Then we walked with Mawlana and he was smiling all the way. This man came towards us. He seemed like he had a lot of evil towards us, yet he tried to attack Mawlana first. Mawlana just touched him on the shoulder and the man lost all his energy and fell on the floor.

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

Mawlana saved you from that big devil through your life. That means you are protected. Though Mawlana is far from you, in spirit you are protected.

Missed fasts and prayers due to mental health

Question:

BismilLaah
salaam alaykum

I reverted to Islam 14 years ago. I have difficulties to fast Ramadan and to pray.

I suffer from middle difficult depression and difficult anxiety. I take medicines(Efexor 150 mg, sedatives, sleeping tablets daily).

My nervousness grows when I try to pray 5 times a day and I get exhausted. Then I get depressed because of that.

Same with Ramadan. If I wake for suhur, after 2-3 days my anxiety grows very high, as I don’t get enough sleep. Also, I have to cook for the family and they are ordering this and that food, so I get anxious.

How to I make up these 14 years of Ramadans? It is over a year of fasting. How do I make up my prayers, thousands of them, maybe 20,000 prayers? Ya Allah.. How to continue, what to do? How to get rid of my depression and panic attacks, and anxiousness?

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Prayers must be made up. Allah is Generous so when you pray the normal fard prayer, add to it one additional qada, missed prayer. Action is by intentions, so with each prayer you make up one other. Then in 14 years they will finish.

For Ramadan, and based on what you are saying, you are excused for medical reasons. So, if based on what you said, you can pay for each month missed. For each missed day pay $5.00. Pay this over time. Give that to the poor. You have an excuse not to fast.

LUCID DREAM: MSH will teach me Janazah

Dream:

As-Salaamu Alaikum wr wb:
Bismehi Ta’ala

Thank you so much for your support. I generally do not dream, and if I do, I am aware that it is not real and is a dream. I am like watching a screen. Last night MSH called me (in lucid dream) and told me that he was going to teach me Janazah. I assumed this is “die before you die”, but really I am still in diapers or maybe egg… and do not know anything. What is the interpretation of this? May Allah ta’ala raise you higher and higher. I love you all!

Interpretation:

wa `alaykum salam,

Keep as you believe, janazah is to take the bad desires of the self and replace instead with good desires for Allah and his Prophet (s). This is the maqam of “mootoo qabl an tamootoo”. If you see that you died in a dream it means Allah extended your life. You die in a dream to extend physical life.

Ahle Bayt and satan

Question:

Assalamu Alykum
1) Can Satan come in the form of a Wali Allah? What can Satan not do so that we come to know the dream is not from Satan? Please tell me signs.

2) Who are included in Ahle bait?

3) Are Qureshi, Hashmi, Alwi, Abbasi and Aale Hazrat Ali (Radi Allah anhu) from wives other than Hazrat Fatima radi allah ta’lah anha included in ahle baiyt?

4) When You give ta`beer that someone is from ahle bayt what do You mean by this?

5) If we hurt a syed unintenionally will we get gunaah for it?

Can we not become friends with syed.. just to make sure that we don’t hurt them.. or will that be not allowed?

Please forgive me if I make any mistake.
Jazakallah
wasalam

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

Satan cannot come in form of the Prophet (s), as mentioned in hadith. Other than that, Satan can come in any form. But awliyaullah are protected from Satan. However, Satan was able to enter Paradise after he was thrown out. He came back, in some narrations, to Sayyidina Adam (as). So yes, Satan can take any figure except the figure of the Prophet (s), his companions, and if we are pious, we can say awliyaullah. But sometimes he might deceive you, so you have to be very careful. Because Masih ad-Dajjal can come in any form and Satan is like that. They are his soldiers.

2) Everyone who has a house is Ahl al-Bayt. Ahl al-Bayt in its very inner circle is the Family of the Prophet Sayyidina Muhammad (s) , through direct relation, and including the Prophet’s grandchildren. In its expanded picture anyone who is syed, Hasani or Husayni, is from Ahl al-Bayt.

3) As we said, anyone from the grandchildren of the Prophet (s) are Ahl al-Bayt, in the “big” picture. In the big picture, I am from Ahl al-Bayt, or anyone descended from Sayyidina Al-Hasan or Sayyidina Al-Husayn. We like to expand as much as possible, so that is an honor.

4) That means that person is carrying the blood of the Prophet (s).

5) I am not speaking as a normal answer, where you might have problems with some syed today in whichever country you are from; they might not practice and so on. But our duty is to respect anyone who  is syed from Ahl al-Bayt without digging into what they do.

Prayer Request: Better job position

Request:

Peace and blessings to our beloved Shaykh! Please forgive my lack of manners and forgive my weakness and transgressions. I am the worst of students and servants. I humbly ask your prayers and guidance. My husband has an opportunity that would involve a move and changes for our family. The job has been blocked in the past by superiors and he worries they will continue to block it. The new position would require a move to the Gulf (from West). It would enable our family to be together. (Current position requires constant travel). It would enable me to stay home for my family (current job requires my working to make ends meet). Please pray for our family to have a wholesome future together, insha-Allah! My sincerest thanks.

Response:

Recite “Ya Qahhar”, the Destroyer, 100 x and “Ya Jabbar”, who is the Majestic Powerful One 100 x. Through Allah’s Power these people will be eliminated and he will get the job. Make niyyah, intention, that if gets the position, to slaughter 10 goats and distribute the meat to orphans.
