Prayer Request: Weakness

Request:

salaam o alaikum Sayidee, may Allah bless you endlessly,
Sayidee I took bayat with Mowlana 3 years ago and since then I have been using heroin. Many times I have packed it away and restarted it, reason being both physical and psycological. Throughout this time I have been to Cyprus, Damascus and the dergahs in London. My love for Mowlana is immense and I try to follow the wazaif and the awrad and then I stumble. I blame myself entirely for this and it is due to my weakness. Moulana can you please pray for me and advise me, as this problem I didn’t have before I took bayat. You may delete the request if you like. Please forgive me for my lack of adab. I have tried to overcome these issues fully believing that I am in yours and Moulana’s vision but today I have actually put my problem across in words. Plz forgive me.

Response:

wa `alaykum salam,

We are praying for you and insha-Allah you will leave such a dangerous addiction. Seek medical attention for it and Allah will reward you because you are trying to stop. Recite everyday “Ya Shafi” 100 times. Make sure to connect your heart everyday with Mawlana Shaykh Nazim and ask for his “madad” to help you and give you the strength.

To Hisham Kabbani may Allah bless you and Shiekh Nazim
Please could you answer this urgent letter? My father is a Muslim but he doesen’t pray namaz. He is very violent and always angry. The doctor wants to put him in the mad house, my father won’t go. My mother and brother are terrified of him. He thinks we are against him. We want to leave him because we are afraid of our lives. He killed birds in the past when angry. We have nowhere to go and no help. We live in Istanbul. My mother is an English convert. We didn’t get our passports. What shall we do, go or stay for now? If so pray for our safety and is there a prayer to blow in his water for madness? Please guide us. We are in terror and fear. we see the devil on his face.

Black Stone

Question:

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatu,

I don’t have any knowledge of the Black stone at the Kaba. Where does the stone come from and what for was the stone sent? Can you tell us everything you know about that stone? Thank you in advance for your efforts.

Jazakallah khair.

Wassalam.

Answer:

wa `alaykum salam,

May Allah reward you for your desire to gain understanding in what concerns you and every believer. Shaykh Hisham Kabbani explains that “our spirit longs to reach back to its origin and establish a connection with Paradise in this worldly life before reaching the after life,” and identifies the Black Stone as our connection between this world and the hereafter. A very brief summary of its history will hopefully suffice.

Tabari mentions in his tafsir that Adam, peace be upon him, was accompanied in his descent from Paradise by two treasures: the Tabut, or Ark of the Covenant, and the Rukn, or what becomes the Black Stone. Islamic histories relate that within the holy structure that once stood at the Navel of the Earth where the Ka`ba would come to be built, the Rukn held the place of honor. During the Flood when this structure was raised to its Heavenly station, the Stone was entrusted by Noah, peace be upon him, to the mountain Abu Qubays for safekeeping. This mountain was thus known as al-Amin, the trustworthy.

Tirmidhi in his Asrar ul-hajj describes in a most beautiful manner how the Stone was returned. Even though the Prophet Ibrahim charged his son Isma`il, peace be upon them, to find a final stone for the nearly completed Holy House, the mountain Abu Qubays sought and received Divine Permission to pass its sacred trust to Ibrahim, the Intimate Friend of Allah, and thereafter to remain in close proximity. So the Black Stone was the last stone to be placed in the House of Allah, and remained there until the time of the Last Prophet.

Even before the descent of Revelation, biographers relate how our master Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, confirmed the sanctity of the Black Stone. In the chivalric pact of the Hilf ul-fudul, water was poured over the Stone into a receptacle that was then shared by those assembled, including the young Muhammad and Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him. Later, when the Quraysh had rebuilt the Ka`ba upon the foundation stones of Ibrahim and Isma`il, it was Muhammad – hailed significatly as al-Amin – who was given the privilege of lifting the Black Stone into place from the cloth borne by four representatives of Quraysh. There it remained after the rites of the Pilgrimage were renewed by Revelation.

The Sutan ul-awliya Shaykh Nazim al–Haqqani – may Allah sanctify his secret – describes the different levels of understanding among the Sahaba in relation to the Black Stone in the rite of circumambulation. For `Umar al-Faruq, may Allah be pleased with him, the Stone is to be kissed only because of the example of the Holy Prophet, peace be upon him; Abu Bakr as-Siddiq, may Allah be pleased with him, understood this much and more. From a sohbet of Shaykh Nazim al-Haqqani:

We know through our Naqshbandi transmission that Abu Bakr said about the Black Stone that it is not just an ordinary stone, but rather a “stone of trusts” (sakhrat ul-amana) which contains a record of the promises that all the Sons of Adam made on the Day of Promises, and also registers the names of all who circumambulate the Ka`ba…it is a stone which has ears, eyes and a heart.

The Stone is also known as “the Right of Allah on earth.” According to Tradition, the Black Stone was originally a brilliant white, but became black with the sins of humanity. For his part, the Greatest Shaykh Muhyiddin – may Allah sanctify his secret – observes the ambiguity of this “becoming black,” since the word in Arabic signifies also to become lordly, and so associates the Black Stone with the establishment of His caliphate on earth. It may be observed that the function of Abu Bakr as-Siddiq – and so also the Naqshbandi transmission from him – is pre-eminently caliphal. Perhaps it should also be mentioned that the Caliph of Allah and Imam of the Time – peace be upon him – is expected to receive allegiances near the corner of the Black Stone.

The introduction to The Royal Book of Spiritual Chivalry may also be consulted for the relationship between the Holy Grail of Western Chivalry and this subject.

Dream: Money Paper

Dream:

Assalamou
I was happy to see my father alive and I intend to give him the money I got, but then I remember that this money I intend to give him is the first amount I receive which I inherit from him. Then I told myself I cannot give him this money now because I need first to call my mother and brothers and sisters to inform them that my father is alive and that we need to give our shares back since he is alive. I told my father who was sitting in his bed just take rest, I will solve something and then I will come back. Then I see him sleeping in his bed. I left my handbag in which I have the money under his bed. …

Interpretation:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

wa `alaykum salam,

The dream is showing you that your father’s soul is in a good condition since you are able to see him after his death.  Be happy as his blessings will continue on you and your family.

Dream: Bees

Dream:

selam aleykum ve r b! I see this dream something invisible with hands touching and disturbing me. I said destur ya Seyidi ya Shaykh Nazim but the same things. My suspect is for jins touching me.  I remember supporting this because my parents were present and I don’t like disturbing them because everything was quiet! Later I see a bee or bumble bee I’m not sure, coming out of my ear. Then thousands came out of my ears getting this as Divine punishment. I did tawba in sejde. I was thinking if my Lord is accepting my tawba being scared by the example of Pharaoh, which was not accepted!

Interpretation:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

Insha-Allah the numerous bees are a sign of great benefit to come from the baraka of calling on Mawlana Shaykh Nazim.

{And thy Lord taught the Bee to build its cells in hills, on trees, and in (men’s) habitations; (68) Then to eat of all the produce (of the earth), and find with skill the spacious paths of its Lord: there issues from within their bodies a drink of varying colours, wherein is healing for men: verily in this is a Sign for those who give thought. (69)} Surat an-Nahl 16:68-69

Sayidina-al-Mahdi (a.s)

Question:

Salaam,

Is Shaykh Nazim hoping for Imam Mahdi (a.s) or has Mawlana received Divine information.

I sincerely apologise for my bad manners.

Jazakallah

Answer:

`Alaykum as-Salam,
Mawlana has said countless times that he is hoping for Sayyidina al-Mahdi, and he has repeated it lately that he is particularly hoping for this year’s Hajj as the Day of `Arafa falls on a Jumu`a, and hence it will be a Hajj al-akbar during which al-Mahdi may come out.

Keeping Ties with Evil Relatives

Question:

Asalam,ulakum,

My question is, what does Islam say about keeping ties with your uncles and aunts who are two-faced? My extended family tend to meet on occasions, gossip, swear and talk about each other behind each other’s backs.

Can I move away myself from them and not call them? Can I only meet and give salam when I have to meet at weddings etc? I do not wish to talk to them as they are in witchcraft and backbiting. They are known in the community as evil people and the community laughs at them because my uncle and aunts talk about each others’ siblings to the community in a bad manner.

I want to stay away from their evil eyes. I do not wish to tell them anything about me as they are very jealous people. They have put my family through very bad times.

Answer:

audhu billah mina ‘sh-shaytani ‘r-rajeem,

Bismillahi ‘r-Rahmani ‘r-Raheem,

wa `alaykum salam,

To sit with backbiters, and magicians is not an obligation even if they are relatives.  Minimize your contact with them and protect your faith from their darkness.  When you have to see them at family functions use your best manners to keep peace, or at least avoid unnecessary antagonism.

وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَشۡهَدُونَ ٱلزُّورَ وَإِذَا مَرُّواْ بِٱللَّغۡوِ مَرُّواْ ڪِرَامً۬ا

{Those who witness no falsehood and, if they pass by futility, they pass by it with honourable (avoidance)} Surat al-Furqan 25:72

Dream: Zikr/capturing

Dream:

As salaamu Alaykum wr wb .
I had a dream after fajr which consists of 3 parts

I couldn’t see anything but I could feel as if my body was being captured by something. As this was happening I felt as if I could not do anything and my body was being controlled.

After the first part, I saw that I got out of my bed and stood in the room. I was sleeping and was trying to gain control of my body.  As I was trying to do this I was also saying Allah out loud. I said it about 2 – 3 times.

Finally I dreamt that my heart was beating at an incredibally fast speed and with each beat my heart was saying Allah Hu.
I haven’t taken bayt with Mawlana yet online but I belive in my heart that I am a mureed of Shaykh Nazim.
walykumasalam

Interpretation:

`Alaykum as-Salam,
The dreams point to goodness insha-Allah, but go ahead and take baya` with Mawlana Shaykh Nazim.
